Real Estate Agent Reacts to Simpsons Marge Becoming a Real Estate Agent. San Diego Real Estate Expert Mark Magstadt from the Gellens Agency is back at it again, reacting to an episode of the Simpsons. During this episode of the Simpsons, Marge is trying her hand at a new career, a real estate agent. @@markmagstadt Lionel Hutz usually would be the underdog lawyer when The Simpsons family gets involved in a legal case, opposing the unnamed Blue-Haired Lawyer who would usually the the more competent lawyer representing the wealthier party in the case. His transition to real estate was a one-off joke about his legal clients losing their homes. Gil became the character used for the trope of the underdog lawyer after Phil Hartman was no longer living to voice Lionel Hutz. Phil Hartman's last performance was as his other character, Troy McClure hosting a nature TV show about caring for birds that Bart was watching.

Okay, a question I wanted to ask to some real state agent: Are houses where murders were perpetrated that hard to sell?
@markmagstadt
@markmagstadt Год назад
It depends on the buyer, shockingly some people are really kind of into it. While other clients are an immediate NO, don't want to see it, don't even mention it. Thats actually giving me a good idea for a video!

I may have already asked you this, but I'm just wondering about this scenario. What are people who work in real estate legally required or allowed to tell a client about a house. In an Anthony Horowitz short story, a young woman who works as a secretary in a real estate firm (as in she's not a real estate agent herself) finds out that the son of the man who recently bought a house that had been for sale for ages at a reduced price is a friend of her younger brother, and then she tells them that the house has been bought but then put back on the market at a reduced price five or six times because people keep on dying in the house and that her boss thought that they'd never be able to sell it again after the last time even with the price so low (it was located in an expensive area). Near the end for he story, after a few things happen, the son of the man who bought the house calls her and asks her a few questions about the people who died there. My question being, if she wasn't a real estate agent herself, should she have told him that much information about the house's history in the first place?
@markmagstadt
@markmagstadt Год назад
Great question.. normally our motto is disclose, disclose, disclose! If someone passes away in the home within the last 3 years, the seller has to disclose this. Thanks again for watching and let me know if you have any additional questions. Best, Mark

As a realtor how do you feel about Aunt Josephine from the book, movie and tv series 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' being, in her own words, "terrified of realtors"?

Thanks so much for watching… My goal is to help buyers and sellers with one of their most important financial decisions. With sellers, I try to make the process as streamlined as possible, use open communication, listen, and try to get the most money for their valuable asset. With buyers, I use open communication, work hard to find off market opportunities, and get them the best price when purchasing. Thanks for watching. 👍🏼🏡🎬

I don't have links to videos but the short lived late 1990s series _Now and Again_ a woman's husband dies and she goes to work as a real estate agent. She is in danger of being fired because she needs to either make a sale or get a house to put up for sale within a certain amount of time. Her friend allows her to list his house -- actually his wife's house, she's the legal owner -- for some outrageous price so it will never sell but at least she has a listing. Then someone contacts her. The contact has always wanted to buy that house so he's been scouring the ads just in case it comes on the market. Even though the house is listed for (three times?) what it's worth he'll pay any price. Now there's an ethical dilemma. Fortunately for her, the series got cancelled before she had to figure out what to do.

Sounds crazy!! Thanks for watching! 3 x the amount?! 🎥👍🏻
@jb888888888
@jb888888888 2 года назад
@@markmagstadt Something like that. The point was he was helping her out by listing it but he had no legal authority to sell the house; he lists it at a crazy high price so nobody will even think about buying it. This was a subplot of the main story, about a man (played by John Goodman) who dies in an accident and his brain is implanted into an artificial man (played by Eric Close) being run as an experiment by the gov't. He does not like it, he wants to get back to his wife.
