As an lnvesting enthusiast, I often wonder how top level investors are able to become millionaires off investing. . I’ve been sitting on over $545K equity from a home sale and I’m not sure where to go from here, is it a good time to buy into stocks or do I wait for another opportunity?.

I grew up in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. When my parents wanted to buy a house in Fort Greene, the realtor convinced them that their current neighborhood was too dangerous and showed them houses in East Flatbush, where we still own a home. Nowadays, most people can't afford to buy a home in my old neighborhood.
That realtor didn’t know what they were talking about. I grew up in Fort Greene, attended PS 287, JHS 117 and Brooklyn Tech for 9th grade. I bought a co-op in 93 in downtown Brooklyn and folks thought I was crazy. The attorney who did my closing was very encouraging and said you’re getting in on the ground floor. There are plans for this area. My apartment is worth more than some folks homes in other areas.
@@joycecox8285 My siblings and I went to those schools as well (PS67 & Sands JHS) and received a good education. Perhaps my point wasn’t clear. The realtor wanted us out of the neighborhood to make room for gentrification.
Yep, when I walk down the streets, I always wondered "who owns this stuff". How are they getting these expensive buildings? In VA, these types of buildings are often owned by large companies and it's rare to even have this type of product.👉Make sure you join our email list so you don't miss any exclusive trainings, events or Questions of the DAY: aw8d9fb.aweb.page/p/6cca7548-b8c4-4a7e-a6b6-9cdc9b706c48
Very educational video. Ive grown-up in Brooklyn and learned so much about the the horse walks watching this. And the parking space money is a pure cash cow with less headaches. Please bring your mentor back for more videos. His experience and knowledge are invaluable.
Glad you enjoy it! It's no joke trying to do business and bring my mentors on to teach, and I still gotta learn too. This was a great video. I've worked in Brooklyn. I grew up in the Bronx. In a matter of blocks, the whole vibe changes, lol. Kris, my son moved to VA for school and said he's not coming back just because of the traffic. I'd love to know how Dan did during Covid when the City told people they didn't have to pay rent. I know of people who suffered greatly.
It’s scaffolding they were calling it a shed. Great video, I am a Brooklynite living in Canarsie. Kris good stuff man always. Yes this was the hood back in the days but things are way different now.
Yes, scaffolding. I think Dan uses terms that allow it to be communicated quickly amongst all the workers as well. 👉Make sure you join our email list so you don't miss any exclusive trainings, events or Questions of the DAY: aw8d9fb.aweb.page/p/6cca7548-b8c4-4a7e-a6b6-9cdc9b706c48
The perimeter of the CLINTON HILL area is…FLUSHING AVENUE to the North, ATLANTIC AVENUE to the South, CLASSON AVENUE to the East and VANDERBILT AVENUE to the West. Family still owns a brownstone on Washington and Lafayette Avenues since the 1950s’ right off the G train. Great childHOOD memories👍🏾

In my hometown. Brooklyn is a gold mind. Great homes in Fortgreene area and Bedstuy!!!!! The market has increased in value significantly. Great investment opportunity 🔥🔥🔥
I lived in that area in the 80s. Never heard of a blackout. Fact of the matter the target used to be a parking lot. My dad used to take us there for driving lessons.

I know Dan, did some of his free workshops back in the day. Good to see the impact of his RE investing, and those who are now learning and getting those investing properties. Dan is one of the few who does knows the communities and the history where he invests. I am a RE investor back involved after a hiatus.
In South FL 1996 I bought my first 2bdrm/1bath(as is) tiny home in a retirement neighborhood at 24 years old, for $30,000. My mortgage, including taxes & insurance was $350. I sold it in 2005 for $135,000. Bought my second 4bdrm/2bth 3story home @ 33 years old, in (Stone Mtn)ATL for $130,000. Put $30,000. down. Mortgage with taxes & insurance was $500. Sold it in 2015 to my renter. Now worth $400,000. Both my mortgages combined was less than what people pay for a studio apartment, not including utilities here in New York.🤯 We don't have a mortgage in our Bushwick Brownstone, Family Legacy. Handful of Original Owners left on the block, due to Gentrification! Generational Wealth Handed Down! If we ever relocate again, it will be Canada, Europe or our parents home island's 🇯🇲🇹🇹. Retirement Beach homes paid for also. They already tried Ghana, Africa & went back home to retire. Thanks for a great vlog!!❤
Wow! I used to be all around that part of Brooklyn from the 70s - 90s. I know there are landmarks and tunnels throughout Fort Greene and Clinton Hill, but I didn't know that much history about the buildings on that block. Thanks for sharing that info.
Kris & Dan I challenge you to adapt a mentorship. I've prayed and swelled on the importance of Mentorship, Role Models, Developmental Dawgs, and your BK tour rose to the top. Funny I grew up in VA Beach but I was born in Queens my family is from NY so both of those places has always been apart my life 😂 I've witnessed the changes in both places
Very cool! If you take the $$ you would spend up north, and apply it in VA, it will go a lot further and bring back a higher cash on cash return. Danny's situation is unique. Go for yours but most people won't rise to the level that Danny has. Danny like many of us who are "in the game" benefitted from intergenerational wealth in the form of our parents having owned property in neighborhoods that are now popular. Bed Stay, Ft Greene, Crown Heights, etc.

I remember 15yrs ago i tried to purchase a brownstone in upper harlem from an older blk lady that lived in the south. Offered to give her her price and she still sold it to a whyt man😏 We are our own peoples enemy.
Hey Kris, you was in my Hometown. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. From Brownsville, to East Flatbush. I remember when I first became part of the Round Up Family, I thought you were from Brooklyn too because you were in the arts like myself, except I was into Film and you in Music. When you said Virginia I was shocked.. LOL..
It's funny, my energy attracts peeps from the city. I did work there for many years and need that energy at least once a year. I think my spirit is from the city and my family is there too.
Brooklyn, and New York City in general, will forever be THAT PLACE! Kris seems a lil judgemental (talking about it being "dirty" and him being "the tallest person amongst short people) but pretty good content
Yes, I had such an electrifying experience w/ Dan. I didn't mean to sound judgmental, as it's nothing wrong w/ there size. It became clear there was a particular demographic in that area I'm unaware of and extremely interested to know about. I felt like I was in another country. I love the vibes there.👉Make sure you join our email list so you don't miss any exclusive trainings, events or Questions of the DAY: aw8d9fb.aweb.page/p/6cca7548-b8c4-4a7e-a6b6-9cdc9b706c48
Dan, hope all is fruitful, speaking on the Parking Spaces you rent for $500.00. If tenant doesn't pay rent whats the procedure to get them out? How hard are easy would it be to get then out? Is it the same process as a standard eviction,? Also I understand why your excited about collecting the $500.00 that's damn near pure profit
Kris I’m goin to forgive you for commenting on the dirt…but that dirt equals millions!!!! Love my neighborhood-awesome people and it’s actually an amazing neighborhood!! And-you were steps away from multi-million dollar single families on Bedford. That said, awesome content!
Yes, please do. I was shocked at all the people and the energy and I don't understand why the city can't deal with it. It was an amazing place and I guess being in Manhattan for a week, things are different. I don't remember it being so much trash in the city. I do ask for your grace. 👉Make sure you join our email list so you don't miss any exclusive trainings, events or Questions of the DAY: aw8d9fb.aweb.page/p/6cca7548-b8c4-4a7e-a6b6-9cdc9b706c48
@@krishaskins It’s all good brother!!! This content was stellar! If he’s on again I’d love for him to talk about possible opportunities for buying in Brooklyn now. The city is actually quite dirty overall-but the open street markets in that part of Brooklyn contribute to the “mess”. That part of Brooklyn also does not receive ten same sort of attention as mid-town or Times Square. You’ll find that level of mess in certain uptown Manhattan neighborhoods as well.
Canarsie isn't "cooking." It's a two fare zone with 'Feeder air conditioner houses. East New York near the trains yes. The housing stock there has much more character and detail because many of those homes were built in the 1920's-1930's.
Brooklyn has a population of over 3 million people. And New York City population is over 8 million. We have vastly populated neighborhoods and areas. What is the population of any city, neighborhood or area in Virginia?
6:59 😢 sad to hear him talk about removing the historical cornice detail. I got a victorian brownstone in DC that im holding onto - were keeping the cornice and dental molding detail. NYC historical society obviously isnt as strict to allow that.

Yeah, what was those locks for? Dan didn't really say. I can only imagine the MAGIC of having that kind of neighborhood and all the energy coming to and from the city. I had a college friend from NJ tell me years ago "I will never admit it, but it's something special about the people that come out of Brooklyn". This was back in the 1990's. Seems like things have really changed w/ all the $$ flowing in. A lot of those people probably won't be able to stay. 👉Make sure you join our email list so you don't miss any exclusive trainings, events or Questions of the DAY: aw8d9fb.aweb.page/p/6cca7548-b8c4-4a7e-a6b6-9cdc9b706c48
