I'm a real estate photographer , a few things Number 1 : not using f8 -f10 to get entire scene sharp and in focus Number 2 : is he not shooting HDR , we shoot 7 frames in HDR Number 3: we actually don't shoot at iso 100, which sounds counter intuitive but with a camera like Sony A7R2 or A7r3 if you shoot at iso 1000 there is very little noise but makes the shutter way faster and makes the lights and light flares much cleaner
Hey! This is a bit of an older video, and you’re right on your points! I shoot at f/8 typically. Anything over 5 bracket is overkill to me so we shoot that. And with the newer cameras, higher and clean iso is great! Typically iso 400-800 for me. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for putting together. I should mention though that F8 is The sharpest aperture to use with a 2.8 lens. Also you can get a cheap wired remote online that should save you from having to keep contorting around the camera and save yourself waiting three seconds every picture. Also if it has a Wi-Fi and wireless app you can frame your shots on a nice large tablet or laptop screen instead of tiny built in monitor.
I use the TriggerTrap cable and phone app. For any mirror-up, time exposure, self-timer, time-lapse, HDR, and WiFi wireless photography, it’s a must-have.
Great advice! I'd love to see how you incorporate flash into your workflow and how you capture necessary but ugly spaces (attics, utility rooms, etc.).
Hey Matt! Thanks so much, appreciate the feedback! Yes, plan to do a follow up video on editing and another on how I use flash now as well! And good idea about the spaces. Thanks for watching!

@@BeanDar hey! that's awesome, the need for real estate videos is exploding! here's a video I have on my channel about shooting videos! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Laod5Hy8pMQ.html
hi, great video man! i started my real estate photography/videography journey not to long ago, and i was wondering where can i get *free music for real estate videos? that will be safe on all of those realtor websites.
Hey man! Great question, honestly it’s pretty tricky because anything that you use that is free, like downloaded off RU-vid or something that says royalty-free, is still a gamble. You might not run into any issues on your end, but if a realtor posts it on social media and it gets flagged, then you can’t clear it. And that will definitely not make you look professional to a realtor. That’s why sites like epidemic sound are worth it because you have an amazing selection of music, and you’ll never run into that issue. 👍🏻
Awesome video…thank you! I do real estate photography as well and found your video practical. I like your recommended timer method to prevent image blur. Question: I usually drastically reduce the photo file sizes and therefore resolution as requested by real estate agent clients to accommodate requirements for mls listings. What are your general preferred specs, i.e. width by height and resolution if you don’t mind sharing?
Hey! Glad you found the video helpful! So for MLS export settings, I only reduce them by making them max 10MB and under, plus high on sharpening. I don’t resize any edges, and that’s worked fine for me and my client for years! :) thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo Ahhh great thank you so much. That is helpful. For my most recent shoot I followed and brought the file size down but closer to 7 to 10MB and it made a world of difference. Thank you!
@@og3139 Good point given that images are only for web display rather than print. I have a 24mpx DSLR and Zillow recommended specs are 2048 x 1536 (about the same for MLS) so that usually naturally brings file sizes to the 3MB range.
I'm perusing this, thanks for the instruction and tips. If you can afford 1 lens with a ZV-E10, is the tamron 11-20mm a good option for real estate videography?
Congrats, it’s a sweet industry to be in! I’m not familiar with that camera personally, but assuming it’s a crop sensor then yes! Ideally even a 9-10mm could be more beneficial too. I also have a lot more up to date content on real estate photography & videography on my channel and a community in my description you can join if you’re interested too. Thanks for watching!
Hey! That’s awesome you want to get started at s younger age, could have a full business in your twenties! I’d get an ultra wide lens for your sl2, canon makes a 10-18mm i believe. Then, all you need is a tripod to get started. To get your first client, I’d try reaching out to any possible realtors you may have a connection with - family, family friends, people you know, etc. I dive more into how I would pursue being a professional photographer in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xWAeGkAobA0.html Here’s the canon lens you could use! amzn.to/3OsiB4k

Basically. 😆 going to make a pinned comment for someone to leave a count of how many times I said “basically” haha need to chill on that word!!! Thanks for watching though!
I've been using OpenDoor self tour listings as my test bed to build a little bit of a portfolio to pitch to people. You're the first person I've seen that mentioned a polarizer. I came to that realization today while looking at a house that had these oddly glossy floors
Nice! And yes, CPL is a must! This is actually a way older video and I are a ton of updated content on running a real estate media business on my channel if you're interested. Thanks for watching!

hello I will be doing my first real estate photo and video soon . I have a canon 60d and 5d mark3 lens I have is 12-24 F4 tokina crop lens 24-70 2.8 tamaron 24-105 canon for photos what should I use should I go canon 60d with 12-24 crop lens or should I put 12-24 crop to my 5d mark 3 I will be using Djirs2 pro for video
Hey Ishan! Hmm, I think to get the widest photos, I’d keep your 12mm crop lens on your 60D. Have you ever used that lens on your 5d3? Just be careful because the dslr mirror might hit a crop lens. Same setup for video too! Thanks for watching
@@AndreiRestrepo yes i have tried on 5dm3 but i have to everytime adjust and careful to put it on 14 or 17 mm to avoid the view of inside of lens and the photo quality from that lens has alot of chromatic abbreations blue and mix colour tinge but shooting with crop 60d i get the full view but blue purple on corners do you suggest to use 24-702.8

Totally up to you! I typically deliver 2-3 for main spaces, and 1-2 of smaller secondary rooms. Use composition to showcase the room the best way. Typically corner to corner or head on shots
Corner to corner! Hey! Yes you can, it's in one of the last custom menus where you can change the amount of bracketed shots. I recently found this out and started testing out 5 brackets. Definitely gives you all the info you need, just more files to back up and blend. Thanks for watching!
Really good video! I am too into re photography here in Italy and often I find myself shooting vertical images because of how the houses are built here ahah it's a bit tricky to compose this way but it helps to enhance the space of small rooms 🙃
Hey Leonardo! Wow, photographing RE in Italy sounds exciting! That's a great idea to shoot vertical images. I do some like that for social media content for the agents. Thanks for watching man!
Nice video Andrei, thank you for sharing these tips. However, I've got a question for you. How do you deal with optical distortion produced by a wide lens such as 16mm? Best regards
Hey Anderson! Good question. First off, you want a lens that is rectilinear, meaning there won’t be any fish eye looking distortion like a go pro. Second, higher end lenses will have better distortion control then lower end lenses where thing with definitely look distorted. My 16-35 does a great job and keeps everything looking nice for real estate! Thanks for watching!
@@istasalazar there's also an adjustment for this in Lightroom/Photoshop - just check the 'Remove Chromatic Aberration and Enable Profile Corrections' :-)
Thank you for this great video, Andrei! I'm about to begin freelancing real estate photography, and I am extremely nervous to get started. This made me feel a little more confident. Wish you all the best!
Have you never had a paying job in photography before? I’m asking because if you have done other paid jobs in photography then taking RE listing pics is about as easy as it gets. Only advice is make sure you have insurance if you are in homes that people live in. That part is very important
Hey thomas! Thanks for the feedback. So at 6.3 at 16mm on full frame and focusing on the center or back wall of the frame, everything is in focus! Everything 3-4 ft in front of the lens will be sharp at such a wide focal length. If you have furniture or anything closer to the lens, definitely stop down to the f/stops you mentioned to retain everything in focus. In my experience, all my photos have edge to edge sharpness 6.3-9 depending on lighting. Thanks for watching, appreciate the input!
Hey man! Yes, definitely can! I started with that lens before switching to my 16-35. If I remember correctly, that lens was really soft wide open at f/4, sharpest aperture was around 8 or 9. The only time I had an issue with that lens was I shot for a client in the beginning one time that I guess was used to another photographer that was using like a 14mm so they thought the photos weren't "wide enough" but that's a rare case, and I've never gotten that with my 16-35 either. So definitely yes! Thanks for watching!
Hey man! If the home has a lot of natural light, you may get better results than lights on, especially if there’s a lot of tungsten lighting. Otherwise, using a flash to fill the rooms would be the next best move. Thanks for watching!
RAW for sure! If you plan on editing your photos - raw is the way to go. That way all the information isn’t caked into the image and it is uncompressed and fully editable! Definitely a must for real estate work if you have to adjust WB, exposure, colors, etc in editing. Thanks for watching!
I like the chest level height of the camera and the polarized filter ideas. Actually, I use the same Canon 5DM4 and 16-35mm f4.0 lens for my work photos. Sometimes I use the gray card for white balance, in case there are many difference light color temperatures 🙂
Yeah, the CPL helps out a lot! Nice, perfect combo. I know use a Canon R6 Mark II and R5C for photo & video, and the 15-35 RF. Gray card is smart, especially for the mixed lighting! Thanks for watching!
Great information. How do you use the polarizing filter? Do you leave it on for every shot or just when needed? Do you have to change any of the camera settings when using the filter?
Hey glen! Yes, I pretty much leave it on through the whole shoot. Helps with wood floors, reflections, and deeper blue skies. Don’t really have to change any settings, you’ll notice when you put it on your lens, the shot will look a little darker so you just have to adjust for that. This is the one I have amzn.to/3pMjfkf thanks for watching!
Tilt and shift lens ends a lot of the distortion that is the problem with a zoom lens they also give you a panoramic shot that will give you a picture with out the corner binding
Yeah I’ve used one and made a video on it! They’re great but since I do a lot more than just real estate photography, it’s not versatile enough for me. Been super happy using my 15-35 for it now though!
Pretty much! I recently upgraded to a 15-35 so now, 15mm! I use a 35 or 50mm for detail shots, but pretty much stay at the widest for all the main shots. Thanks for watching!
Do you have a video that shows how your edit your real estate photos and blends the bracketed photos together? Ive always got discouraged when I got to the editing because it never looked professional. And I’d like to steam line the editing.
Thanks so much! It’s more of by package in my area. Factors that affect pricing are how many photos, add ons like Dusk, aerial photos, or video. Like for my business my top package is a Full Campaign shoot that’s photo + video. In my area average for just real estate photography for a regular residential home is $150 and higher end like $300 per shoot. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making this video. So much useful, and much needed information for me. I'm not a professional photographer but I've got an opportunity to photograph several home and business projects for a contractor friend of mine. I will be using a Pentax K-5II DSLR, which is of course an APSC camera. I have several prime lenses, but I think my 16-85mm f/3.5- 5.6 zoom lens might be the most flexible.
Glad you enjoyed it! I have a lot more up to date videos on real estate photography & videography on my channel if you’re interested. Thanks for watching !
I’ve done 3 real estate sessions. The realtors in 2 of these instances didn’t pay me the full amount agreed upon. Very frustrating having to badger these people.
Ahh bummer! So you can use a dedicated real estate CRM that has features like a paywall where they have to pay you in full to download the photos, it's honestly a must for new clients! Some cost monthly as some are pay as you go, like HDphotoHub. Would definitely check that out because yeah, that's the worst! I have a lot more up to date RE content on my channel if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
I am thinking of doing Real Estate photography how did you apply for the job and is a option to take pictures with a professional camera or can you take pictures with a iPhone because they take great photos
When I started out, I got hired by a real estate photography company as one of their shooters. Since then, I started my own business where we provide real estate photo & video services to realtors, like I was doing in this video. You totally can, just I imagine the photos will be limited as far as how much you can edit them. I have a lot more up to date content on my channel about RE photo & video if you're interested! Thanks for watching
Andrei, I continue to appreciate you videos. They are straight forward and easy to follow! Coming back to this particular video, I have a question. It may be that I've seen more recent videos with other cameras and your reference to using HDR and bracketing, but I've gotten confused on HDR vs AEB. Are these essentially accomplishing the same thing, but with two different approaches? Do I understand correctly that HDR combines the range of exposures back into one file within the camera AND AEB requires you reassemble them in post-software (Lightroom/Photoshop)? I should mention I'm using the Canon 5D mark iv as used in this video.
Yes, you're correct! As I understand it, you can create an in camera HDR jpg or use the AEB method to have the separate raw or JPG files, and merge in LR or PS. I still do the 5 bracket AEB RAW files and send that off to an editor or blend myself. I'd say try both and see what works best for you!
Hey Andrei, I got in my first unexpected real estate photo gig for day after tomorrow :D As I was mainly doing videography, I try to educate myself pronto. Question for you, as I have no flash at all, do you think I can get away with two Godox 60SL light instead? Or shall I start to panic? :D
Hey! Congrats! Those are constant video lights right? Constant lights are hard for RE photography because they have to be super powerful to overcome the ambient window light so that’s why flash is best, or HDR without flash like I did in this video!
I did my first real estate photo shoot with the 24-70, but my lens was wrong for the job. Now I want to buy a wide angle lens. I'm torn between 12mm Laowa and 16-28 Sigma. It feels like 16mm isn't enough. I'm curious about your thoughts on this matter. Thank you very much for the content.
Yeah, probably the only type of photography a 24-70 can't do the job for! I think 16mm full frame is wide enough. 12mm is super wide, I like it more for video that photo. I used a 16-35 for the longest time and even the lens I use now is 15mm. And the flexibility of a zoom is even better since sometimes I take exteriors and other compositions at 24-35mm too. Thanks for watching!
Hey Erik! Probably the most tricky part of HDR. Typically I try to find right neutral white balance and desaturate yellows to reduce the tungsten cast. Also not a bad idea to turn the lights off if there's a lot of natural light available so you don't have conflicting white balances too. Thanks for watching!
Hi Andrea, have you thought covering with flash shot in photoshop to get color accuracy? The different lighting gives the picture some classy look. Thanks again for the response.
Hey Erik! Yes, I did that for awhile as well for most of the shoots in 2021. It just wasn’t practical for me because of how long it adds to the shoot vs HDR plus editing time. And I outsource our editing in my RE media business now as well.
Thanks! Haha probably because this was filmed on my iPhone XR, it my camera haha. I did very little color grading, if any. Thanks for the tip! Glad the video was helpful, thanks for watching!
I know this is a 3 year old video, but it has been an integral one for setting things up. Today I get to try it all out for the first time on a big shoot. We'll see how it all goes down. :) Thanks Andrei

Friend, thank you for the informative content! Have you compared the dynamic range of Raw files and HDR technology? Why do many professionals choose HDR? 😮
You're welcome! Not sure what you mean, I shoot in RAW but we shoot multiple RAW images at different exposures, to then blend them into a more "HDR" looking final image. Thanks for watching!
When reading about polarizer filters on wide lenses , I read that they can cause dark and light areas on focal lengths under 10-20mm. Have you found this to be true? The 14-24mm lens I am using is the Sigma and it has a bulbous lens and uses rear filters, so I'm not even sure if I can get a polarizer for that lens. What would you suggest? Thanks
Hey! Yeah I’ve read that, but most newer filters do a great job correcting that. I use filters by Moment because they’re affordable and high quality. My friend used the same lens but no filters, idk if there’s another system that’s not regular filters to use filters on the back end. 🤔Here’s moment to check out the filters if you’re interested! partner.shopmoment.com/c/2944942/770347/11129
Amazing video! Thank you so much. I'm wanting to get started doing real estate photography. How did you learn all the different settings and how to operate a camera?
Hey Charis! Thanks so much for the feedback, greatly appreciate it! Great question, I learned just like you are, here on RU-vid. Plus shooting, editing, & learning every single day.
Watching your video and trying to learn and ran across some issue. I set my bracketing up like you did but couldn't get the 3 images. i was using the remote app but i guess it wont shoot 3 with remote app. Instead of setting the 2 sec delay and press the button, can you not use the Remote Switch RS-60E3 instead? Just curious
Hey Michael! Interesting, it won’t shoot 3 brackets at once, unless the 2 second timer is on, otherwise if you just have single shutter on, you’ll have to manually press it 3 times to go through the cycle. I think I’ve used the app before and it worked, like I said was it in the 2 sec mode? I personally haven’t used any remote triggers so I can’t say, but I image it would be the same. I think you could actually set the shutter mode to high speed and hold the remote button down and it would take them without delay. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Do you recommend using brenizer method to take re photos? especially if the wide lens isn't available or I want to take wider photos than the 16mm offers..
If I understand what that is correctly, I don't. At least not in the sense to get any depth of field, as you want everything in focus. As someone that's shot for 5-6 years of real estate, 15-16mm has never not been wide enough. You could even go 12-14mm but honestly just looks "too wide" to me. Thanks for watching!
Excellent video! Thanks for putting this together. This really helped me with my real estate photography business and how I can make it better and more efficient.
Hey! Yes, the camera isn’t as important as the lens. Having the proper wide angle lens and at least 12-15mp camera, should be plenty. Thanks for watching!
Basically, every 3 seconds he says 'basically', which is basically annoying and basically puts you off in basically 2 minutes. I basically heard 'basically' enough times today to basically need no 'basically' for basically the next 5 years. I basically need to basically grab my camera and basically shoot some photos because, basically, there is hardly any useful information that is basically useful in here.
Hey! Yeah I’m very aware of how many times I said that in this video, note taken! Sorry you didn’t get much value out of the video. Thanks for checking it out anyway!
Yup! So once all the photos are in LR, I click Stacking - Auto Stacking Based on time (like 2-3 sec) basically it’s going to auto merge all photos shot within a few seconds of each other. Then, I select all the HDR stacked images, and merge at once. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
Hey Simon, sure thing! What settings are you needing more info on? I put the camera settings i use like iso, f/stop, and shutter for the shots in the video at 4:28 in case you missed that. But happy to help with any other questions!
My wife had always been in the title industry and worked with realtors and I got connected with a few family friend ones to try RE photography out! Hey Souri! I try my best to match the WB balance of the room, usually 4200-4800K is a good starting point. Sometimes if I need to get through quickly, I’ll just do auto white balance. Because it’s RAW, I always adjust it in editing. Thanks for watching!
If I may ask, what is your rate for shooting a home? Is it by the hour, a package rate, or a multi-house day rate? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Literally scripting a video on this topic! Such a long and intricate answer so it's a much needed video. But our current model is different packages based on services we offer!
I noticed you did not use any lights or diffusers. Let me know your thoughts on that. Do you think you need them? I can edit very good but just trying to cut down on some of the post editing. Thanks
There’s pretty much two types of real estate photos - HDR blended like these, or off camera flash. I shot OCF for a few years since around the time of this video but it would just take too long on site, especially since I do a lot of video. We now shoot 5 bracket HDR photos and outsource the editing and get great results. I’d try both to see what you like! Thanks for watching
Honestly not sure if I'll be able to get my hands on one! Typically I don't test other camera systems since I only have Canon glass. Would be cool though!
Crazy right? You can make a living from anything now! I got my foot in the door years ago because my wife was in real estate, title to be exact. I got the opportunity to shoot for a few realtors in the beginning, but I wasn't good at all. 😆 Then I got a job working for a real estate photography company and went from there, to a salary real estate photographer for a real estate team, and now doing it for myself in my own business. I always tell people that are looking to get their first client, you need to show what you can do. Use your one home, friends or family, and learn to do it and get a small portfolio to show a realtor what you can do! Thanks for watching!
Good advice! How can one get started to do some freelance real estate photography Andrei to earn some extra bucks? Is there a website to sign up or look into? Thanks.
Thanks so much! Honestly the best way to get started is just yet and land your first shoot! Realtors will want to see your work or an example listing before booking you. See what the competition is charging and come in lower to get into the game. Offering a free shoot to get content would be a great start too. Thanks for watching!
Haha! Yeah can't believe how many times I said that lol. Thanks! I have a lot more up to date content on Real Estate Photo & Video on my channel if you're interested.
just stumbled across your videos and wanted to say you are so underrated. This quality content is appreciated so thank you. Am just curious but do you offer virtual tour services? I've been wanting to start a real estate photography business but am discouraged that I'm not able to offer all services so it''s kind of hindered me on getting started.
Hey Cruz, thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it! I totally understand what you mean, I felt the same way! To start a real estate photography business you just need to be doing real estate photos! No one is telling me that you have to offer videos or virtual tours or anything else, because if you deliver a really great photos and an awesome service, they will keep using you. 👍🏻 The only other thing I offer along with real estate photos highlight videos of the homes, so it’s kind of like a virtual tour of the home, but in a cinematic more interesting way. My clients love it, they never ask about 3-D or virtual tour stuff with me. Plus I’m not interested in doing those things either. Thanks so much for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo thank you so much for the speedy response, your response has me STOKED. I've been worried that I'd have to offer EVERY service (3D tours, floorplans) to keep up but those don't appeal to me nor would I want to do them so this helps me a lot. Will keep you posted on my journey and looking forward to more videos from you! Thanks again!
Yeah I would experiment with your iPhone first if you have a newer model! Especially for video too. Otherwise for just RE photography, you could look into older preowned DSLR cameras like the one I was using, the canon 5d series, 6D series, or any of those. Along with entry/mid level mirrorless cameras like the r10, r8, r7, or r6. Thanks for watching!
Hey Alwin! 10-18mm is a great focal length! Especially because you’re talking about using it on a crop sensor Sony camera right? 16mm sigma is a great lens too, but don’t think it would be wide enough on a crop sensor camera. Thanks for watching!
I’m still using the original dji ronin s! Does the job great still, but I’d say stuck with DJI, I always had issues with all the other brands. And yes, a CPL is a must! VND not so much since nothing is moving in the scene typically.
Honestly, I would look to find a preowned ronin s or the rs2. They just work so well and I can’t honestly vouch for any other brand. I’ve had issues with other I’ve tried. You can probably find them for a few hundred dollars now.
Yeah, I see that’s too general. Good rule of thumb is to just make sure your photo is balanced, especially since ceiling heights vary. Not too high where you just see mostly ceiling, and not too low where you’re cutting off the light fixtures. Usually the walls are in the middle third for me. Thanks for watching!
Hey! Correct, no flash in these. Just using bracket exposures to cover the super dark & bright areas for a very dynamic image. But I mostly use flash now for better color consistency and over all image, and don’t get any noise. Hmm, are you using a tripod? Exposing correctly? Lifting the shadows too much? Thanks for watching!
This was VERY usefull! Suscribed! The video is also recorded with the Canon with the 16-35? How do you stabilize it? Would you use some camera-attached light in the camera or external lighting? Thanks a lot, more than valuable content!!
Thanks so much! Yes, the video clips of the home I mixed in were filmed with the same 16-35 on my ronin s gimbal. No lighting for real estate video. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thank you. Learned a lot! Question. What would you recommend for someone who thinks they want to give real estate interiors a shot? My budget is VERY tight. I started doing exteriors with a drone last year, but realized quickly that photography and video are two very different animals. Currently I am adding interior photos into my videos done by photographers hired by the realtors. I’d like to think I have an eye for detail, but have absolutely no photography experience, or budget for that matter. Thoughts? -Andrew
Hey Andrew! Glad you found it valuable. Starting out can definitely be daunting, but nowadays you don’t need top of the line gear to get into the field. Do you currently have a camera aside from your drone? Depending on what you’re looking for, like an entry level dslr/mirrorless camera + lens, could be a good starting point. Even one of the newer iPhones with the ultrawide angles lens could work too! Thanks for watching!
@@AndreiRestrepo I do not have a camera. I attempted an interior shoot with a DJI gimbal and my iPhone XS, but it wasn't nearly wide enough. Good clients of mine who use me religiously for the drone end of things, and knew this was virgin territory for me. They offered to pay me anyway, to which I declined, as the images were terrible in my opinion. I am actually an aircraft mechanic by trade, but can't work in that industry anymore due to health issues. Didnt even know I had a creative bone in my body until someone mentioned it last spring, and convinced me to give the drone thing a go in the "professional" capacity. Using a Mini 2, and Final Cut Pro, I seem to be building a clientele, and getting referral business, but I'm far from being able to support myself off of the proceeds. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, so we do get some cold temps and snow. The last few months were discouraging business wise, so thought I would see what it took to do interiors. Realtors ALWAYS need those, regardless of price point and weather. Really struggling to find gear that I can afford, plus I really dont know anything about photography. Kind of scared to upgrade to a better iphone, think it would be better to try to find a camera i can afford and go from there. I guess I'm looking for guidance on what is the bare minimum I need to start. I want to upgrade, but need something that will help me achieve pro style results, so I can gather business and upgrade. Thoughts? Thanks so much by the way,....greatly appreciated. Andrew
Thanks so much for sharing your backstory! You said it - realtors ALWAYS need interior/real estate photography, no matter what. There’s definitely some good options out there, essentially you just want - a mirrorless/dslr camera, a wide angle lens, & a tripod. I have an iPhone 13 Pro, and you could totally take RE photo/video on it, but it only shines in the most ideal conditions, like having plenty of light. What’s a good email for you? I can send you some recommendations on cameras/lenses and would be easier to send them that way vs in a comment. Thanks!
Hi, I'm just getting started in Real Estate Photography. I don't have a ton of money to get set up so, I think, I am down to two cameras. The Cannon EOS R or the Sony A7 iii. Which is a better value? Or if you can recommend a good camera for a little less that would be great. Thx Michelle
Hey Michelle! Those are both great cameras. Are you already invested in any lenses for either Canon or Sony? I'd personally recommend the EOS R for the 30 mp sensor and the user friendly operating system vs Sony's. The EOS R is basically the mirrorless version of the camera I was using in this video (canon 5d mark iv). Let me know if you have any other questions, best of luck!
@@AndreiRestrepo I don't have any lenses yet. I found this camera bundle on Walmart's website. Canon EOS 5D Mark IV DSLR Camera Body Only 1483C002 - Advanced Bundle $1,789.95 (international model) Is this the camera you have? Not sure what international model means.
Thanks so much! For strictly doing RE photography, a preowned DSLR would do the job just fine. In this video I was using a canon 5d mark iv, but a 5d mark iii or 6D series would work great too. If you’re wanting to do video as well, I’d recommend investing in the mirrorless line like an EOS R, R8, R7 or R10. Same with Sony too, but I just think the learning curve is higher with Sonys compared to canon. But also having the right lens makes all the difference. Thanks for watching!
