Re syncing worked for me. Settings- iCloud - show all. My iMessage was turned off and didn’t even know. Thanks

After the message disappears, it may not be sent successfully. You can retrieve it and send it again.

I’m so confused, none of these methods work. The message was there in the contacts list for like 10 seconds but then the app restarted itself and then the message that I saw was gone and isn’t coming back no matter what I do.

If you are forgetting to save the audio instead of deleting it, you can only re-record that audio or re-download it on your iPhone.
