I bought one 4 months ago, a single bloke , and I am very impressed with it . The suction is great, the mobility is great too, it vacuums under the bed which means my breathing is not hindered by dust . It is now a joy to clean the house !
Brilliant video - well done! Bought one for our house a few weeks back and really pleased with it. Wish this video had been found before purchase as it would have made the decision much easier! We too have had many Dysons but this thing (around) is much better.
We made the mistake of buying a replacement Dyson when our old one packed it in. Soon returned it though , after finding it was heavier and even more unwieldy then our old one .
Good demo, might have been worth mentioning the whole vacuum draw lifts from the bottom to take to the dust bin before removing the dust cover. Great vac.
The answer is yes , i still love it . ( what`s this a man that likes hoovering ) I too , had got fed up with my huge dyson it was always blocking up and had to be run over the carpets twice.with the Gtech it`s light and easy and just one run picks up everything in fact i find myself hoovering more because it is so light and easy , it`s no longer a chore.
Hi Andy , if you are not sure about the rattle then I would change it for another one straight away. They are still the best hoover out there. Regards, al.
I think he did a good job as some one said he works for GTECH I don't think so.He is just doing a good demo. If you watch other demos they would never have mentioned the paint or any of the marks on the carpet. The man is spot on good video thanks My wife has a GTECK very good
I'm thinking of getting one of these i have bad joints and am now struggling with my henry and my eletrolux one for upstairs and one for down its to much to carry them up and down and their both heavy to use, i think your video has been very useful in helping me to make my mind up thank you xxx
dereton33 hi we have artificial grass at our house and my nan likes it without leaves so we got our Dyson out and started hovering up all the leaves. Believe me its powerful and we've had it for 4yrs now. When my mum came in from work she gave us a great big bollocking for it lol. Well we are both kinda like you really looking for ways to save money. So instead of buying one of those £45 sucker blowers thingys we thought of the dyson In our family if we buy something we need to get the best quality products if you understand :D by the way thanks for the led gu10 video it has helped with our electric bill you inspired me to change the lights in our house and like I said they have saved our money and probs payed for themselves :D
Great video! I've thought about this model for a long time but I also have a cordless Gtech sweeper which is just great for clean up - its a good compromise to the Air Ram if you can't afford the full asking price, especially as Gtech have now released a lithium battery 2 hour run SW22 cordless sweeper.
Thanks. It's just that my Miele is so quiet I think I will have to wait till the AirRam 2 comes out. Hopefully, with only 100w of power, Gtech could figure out a way to make it quieter.
Hello, I just watching your wonderful video. I am using a Miele canister vacuum now but I dislike having to take it out of the closet, hook-up everything, and then plug it in. The AirRam seems like a great alternative. My question: Is it really as noisy as it appears on the video? I was rather distraught by how noisy it was but hopefully it was just the microphone.
As with any battery powered item I do worry how much charge I will get after a couple of years usage. The battery isn't covered by the warranty because they consider it "consumable". For the price I'd rather get something mains powered with attachments, the weight has never really been much of an issue and I don't worry about running out of charge halfway through.
You've just caused me major brain problems - I saw you on 'Britain's Wildest Weather 2014' and it's taken me over a day to figure out where I'd seen you before! Had to wrack my brains to pluck that one out! :-)
Hi Bunny , every thing has it`s drawbacks I guess it depends which one`s you can live with , for me I could not go back to a mains powered thing with that dam lead snagging on everything and trying to locate plugs in every room , I just keep my G-TECH charged and ready and as you say , if in a couple of years I need a new battery well , for the convienice that's the price I am willing to pay . Kind regards, al.
these seem quite smart,it would be nice to own one,i have 2 Vax Mach Air slim vacuum Cleaners, they are brilliant,i have one upstairs and one downstairs, and they even have a brush safty cut off incase anything jams it up..
Hi shenue , you have to have a portable for that . The idea with the G-tech is that it is so quick and easy to whip around the carpets and floors without that pesky mains lead . We use a cheap Hoover jovis hand held for the furniture , edges and lampshades . Regards, al.
Getting the hair out the roller is annoying bus this Hoover is amazing way better than a dyson. It took the rule book in vaccums and set the bar a little bit higher love it
Hi there - just wondering if you're still as impressed a month later. I'm thinking of getting one for Christmas, because I've come to totally hate my huge dyson which bashes the furniture, and I find it a pain having to plug it in for each room etc.
I've just got one today but its making a bit of a rattle noise, I noticed one of the brush bars feels loose but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, other than that it's amazing
I've tried one of these and it was OK but just doesn't compare in build quality, functionality or power to a Dyson. I've had a DC18 and its pushing 7 years old and still working well. I've recently purchased the Dyson V6 Absolute and it literally does everything the DC18 did with the added portability which is perfect for doing the car and stairs.
I was told this product isn't actually a vacuum ... meaning it doesn't have a motor that creates suction . Supposedly it is more an electric sweeper with no suction. Which is it please? Does this machine actually a vacuum with suction or is it simply an electric sweeper? Thanks so much for the information!
Two years ago I bought a dyson at first it was brilliant. - two years on with love and care for the machine it not does not function and cannot be fixed. Dyson is unreliable with two cats and a wooden floor it couldn't even cope with that. Coming me £400 now I'm seeking a new Hoover.
It's funny how certain brands become synonymous with a general product! Do you really say, 'hoover', for vacuum? I think it's interesting. Here, in Tennessee, we say 'coke' for any cold, carbonated drinks! Where do you live?
I was laying in my bed last night and saw the Grim Reaper walking towards me, fortunately I managed beat him off with my vacuum cleaner, but talk about Dyson with death!
Mec wanted me to look into the Gteck Air Ram Vac for her and I found this on You Tube. Plus a review from mquiroz90 on you tube. I was very impressed with the performance and light weight. Really received very good reviews from everyone. Also see a review on the return if it breaks from dereton33 also.
I just got one, they're cheaper now, brilliant, just as good as a Dyson, maybe a bit lacking on the build quality, but overall, made up with it, just a bit noisy.
no its not 185 airwats on max power it has 100 or a little more and on normal power the dyson has around 20 airwatts plus suction doesn't clean carpets agitation and airflow does
I'd like to order the Gtech and the Gtech multi Can you confirm the Warranty please. Al says 5 year warranty yet on the Gtech website it says 2 years Thanks
1yr warranty on a battery, sod that. Lithium batteries go off after a years work and with it being a hoover, it be well worked. They most probably realised that batteries go off after 1yr and would cost em loads if they did a 2 yr warranty.
Bought the air ram Mk2 and a hand held. Frankly, a bit crap. My Henry shits all over both of them in terms of cleaning. Yes, they’re a bit more convenient, but I wouldn’t bother again.
I agree, knew far too much about the product for an old guy who had just bought it, and consistently tried to 'sell' the product throughout the video. People must be mugs if they think this guy is a genuine reviewer wth no affiliation with GTEK
this guy i bound to promote this has he sells them as a reseller according to the link at the end of the video.albeit it does seem like a good hoover but a bit noisy, could be the camera mic
Hi I am not a reseller. and have no links with this company. They have never sent me any thing for review, I bought this hoover and just decided to review it.
dereton33 I can see the link and when I click it the page opens but there is a blank space between the blue arrow and the box that starts 'This is the best price........' There is nothing to tell me where the cheapest place to buy it from is.
Hi Ethel this often happens if you are using internet explorer, try using Firefox , a much better browser. I have just given it another go and the link is straight there. Al.
if someone decided to evacuate his or her bowels on the carpeted floor, would this air ram thing clean up properly after them? my mother in law, you see, has funny bowels. as for my father in law, just pinch your nose after entering the house. he is very constipated, you see, and even when he was a mathematician, he used to work his motions out with a pencil. he had piles and piles of hard work at school, you see. other times, he work it all out in logs.
i am about to get dyson dc65 which cost arround £500 it comes with 6 accessories and you dont need to change the speed on it like you said may be you bought a cheaper one because those once their speed must be change hahaha
halfasgoodasyou I live in a barn conversion out in Butley Suffolk. five story house. battery not long enough for me. I've since bought a hoover with one hour charge. a miele. very powerful. even hay is broken into dust. a good purchase!
