I been to that restaurant back in 22. The owner said that we where one of the most generous groups he had because we tipped well and we never criticized his establishment.
It's great to know about your generosity and that of your group. The restaurant and the food are decent, and yes you are right, tipping is definitely important for them. Every bit of assistance makes a difference for them.
Ive been to that restaurant many times , one of the best in moron , i stay at la concha azul when i visit the town , food is bland and boring in cuba but the rum and friendly ppl more than make up for it 👍
