I’m a stay at home mom with extreme post partem depression. My kitchen is constantly disgusting.. it makes me feel so crappy. But it feels so overwhelming to even start. I just stare at the mess and get anxiety. There’s mold on the dishes now and I know I need to scrub basically until my hands bleed. The sink smells so bad, I don’t have much cleaning supplies. My husband works so hard all day long and I can’t even clean my kitchen 😔 this video is so calming and your voice sounds so warm and welcoming and I feel like maybe I could try on my kitchen.
What I’ve learned with depression and anxiety, is some days are much better than others but as long as my kids are taken care of on those bad days that’s what counts. Also if you set one goal a day even if it’s just sorting through the dishes so the next day you can wash cups and the day after plates so on so forth. I find once I start it’s much easier to try and get something else done.but don’t beat yourself up! You’re doing the best you can and everyday is different!
I know your comment is from 3 years ago but to anyone else going through that, I went through it too. Here’s a tip: You can do anything in 15 minutes. Take 15 minutes timed, and wash as many dishes as you can. That’s all. Just 15 minutes and you’re done. Do this once a day or as many times a day as you are up for it.
I love the fact that you talk the entire time durning this! I use to love watching clean with me videos- but so many people just put music over it. I love the feeling that I’m just listening to someone tell me about their day while I clean also!! Thank you! 💜
You make me want to clean my kitchen but I can't. My cat is laying on me so it's a well known law that cats will let you up when they're ready. Darn lol
I’m so thankful that at the end of each day when the kiddo and I go to bed, my hubby cleans the kitchen and washes and puts away all the dishes! I’ve got chronic pain and anemia, so by the end of the day I’m so sore and exhausted that I’m just so done... it makes a world of difference that he does this for me!
Your vids are so relaxing to me. I’m a mental health professional. And trying to build a channel for my entertainment. Thanks for sharing your life! You make me smile! 🥰
Jamerrill I don't even have any kids at home anymore. Its just the two of us. but sometimes i am so busy i don't get time to wash dishes for a day or two and i do the fill the pot with hot water for the silverware, then fill another for bigger mixing spoons and such. You go Momma! Love watching you even thought i'm not a large family.
i honestly can’t imagine cleaning up and cooking so much , much respect for you for making sure your kids are well fed and that they have your attention and love. Praying for blessings to your family and God bless. ❤️
Jamerrill, you are so encouraging! Not only do you show us how you clean up all these real-life messes, you also remind us how important it is to take a rest day when needed! I was feeling at my limit, so I took time to cuddle my babies and read/listen to audiobooks and I am feeling so much better! You remind me of the balance! With many children I have to remember there is a time to go full steam ahead and a time to rest and love on my people! Thanks! Hugs to you!
I love watching you wash dishes! I have a tip for cleaning egg pans. Smash up a small ball of tin foil to scrub your pans. Does not scratch!! Cleans to nice and shiny pan!
Jamerrill, if you like iced coffee, you'll LOVE this hack! Just put your ground coffee in a quart (or 1/2 gallon) jar, fill with water and refrigerate overnight. Pour into your cup the next day (a little goes a long way) and add any flavoring you want. I like heavy cream, but it's yummy without. No fuss, no muss, no bitterness and just as good as the pricey alternatives. Oh... we have that same faucet too and LOVE IT!!
I like the sponsorships you work with, they are actually useful! I joined the misfit market and love it thanks to you! Enjoy that iced coffee momma you deserve it!
Ahhhh. My friend Jammerill🤗. God bless you Mama! I love your videos. Such fun. My sons are grown up. But you are a blessing in many ways to young moms learning their way around the kitchen and families. It’s wonderful being an at home mom. I would not change the years for anything. We live in northern Virginia. Thank you for sharing your faith!!
Spoons and forks. My big kids do our dishes as their daily chores. I catch them throwing them (and sometimes bowls!) in the bin instead of cleaning them. And my little ones throw them away by accident sometimes. Sometimes they take them outside too to give leftovers to the animals and the animals have a little collection too.
Love your helpful tips! I'm a birth and postpartum doula with a growing family of my own!! Got my vlog back up and running after a 2 year hiatus. You were one of my inspirations to get it going again. Thanks for sharing your life!!
Slowly but surely building up my glass 9 by 13's or larger from my local thrift store have collected 12 for myself. I purchased 2 for my future daughter in laws to start her collection. Prices varied between 2.99 to 4.99 love love the freezer freeing meals, that's my name for it 😂❤️😎
So. Many. Dishes! 😱 I don’t have a dishwasher, so I do all mine by hand. But I also don’t have a large family or that large of bowls and pots and pans to wash. Thank you for the Truman code! I’ve been eying them for a while but just bought it using your code!
We have the same monster living in our house. I keep a big folding table, one that folds in half, tucked in beside the fridge. Then when big cooking or big dish washing I pull it out and am so blessed with extra surface space. We keep a towel on the floor to for all the water spills from hand washing. We are kindred spirits 💜
I have a handy little thing called a dishmatic its a sponge with a green scrubber on the end but you can fill it up with dishwashing liquid /dish soap and i love it , but i'm obsessed with washing up i cannot go to bed it my 19 year old has made herself scrambled eggs i have to make sure but i have 2 not the same world as you with your beautiful 8 children , the thing i love is i'm one of 7 so i know the hustle bustle noise etc it warms my heart to see your videos as i'm the youngest so as my mam used to sometimes go through every girls name to get to mine but she was amazing i love her so much any hoo keep up that fab work miss jamerrill x
Love the video. I wish I had a dishwasher because I hate doing dishes and I always have so many to do. I don’t even know how I get so many dirty dishes. It’s just my daughter and I. I also buy disposable cups, plates and bowls which I guess isn’t really helping cut down my sink full of dishes.
I use to live in the country ,we had no running hot water so we always started huge pots for doing the dishes at mealtimes...by the time the meal was over with the water would be waiting for us,boiling hot....and I use to do the dishes out of a dishpan and fill each pot and pan with the hot water made soapy for each pot,pan or bowl....I was the only girl with 4 brothers and when I was on the week of dishes I could get everything done in half an hour.....when my older brothers did the dishes it took them at least an hour if not more.....I could never convince them that the little act of soaking all of the pots and pans made it so much easier to them done faster...While watching this today I had some very pleasant flashbacks.....I'm a big city woman now,65 yrs old....I still do dishes by hand and I still do them the very same way....which is how my Mom taught us kids to do it...my brothers have all the fancy kismo's and gadgets ,newest of everything in the kitchen and it still takes them forever to get the kitchen cleaned....they are both retired with wives that still work outside the home....it is so funny to hear them exchanging recipes and talking kitchen stuff.........and I know....,I talk to much in all forms of communication...lol
Check the trash for spoons and forks. Mine kept disappearing after my son would grab them for jello/ pudding/ yogurt cups. I would tell him to throw the empty cups away and assumed he would put the utensils in the sink......... nope! I started buying the plastic spoons and forks just to save my good ones from going to the trash.
My high loop under the sink (some people use a vent instead, or both) messed up on me immediately after I installed it, and it caused me issues. I fixed the high loop, but it still doesn't dry exactly right. Either way, it fixed the majority of my problem. Could that be your issue? It can cause them to back up back into the dishwasher and gross junk to get sprayed back all over your dishes 😬
The dishwasher, I have been through 4 in 12 years! We had a tech come for the last one, he didn't even charge us - so nice, his advice "go get a new one, it's not worth fixing" - ok; I say, do you have a suggestion, something that may last? - He say's to me "if you only use it twice a week it will last" - ok, I am a mom and all that good stuff; I run the dishwasher twice somedays😜 Thank god for you tube and the video's that do help! All the best!
Sigh, yes they don't seem to last long, that's for sure. We bought this one less than two months ago. I will say that TODAY my husband and teen son got it going again. So here's until next time, lol! 😂
@@mrskbraz I hear you! At our last house, I didn't have a dishwasher for a decade. This is my one sometimes upgrade at this house (when it's working, lol!)
I am LOVING all these new Jamerrill videos!! Woo hoo!! And I love seeing new cleaning products. I hate to admit I've been using the same (probably toxic) cleaning stuff in my house for 20 years or more. I'll def give these a try!!
I cant wait for the day you have a big kitchen😩 You deserve it with all the yummy cooking you do and your big family . I know many people with huge kitchens that don’t even cook 😭
One utensil set, one bowl, one plate & one cup per child would make your life a lot easier. Just an idea! It does work though. Wash quickly by hand after each use and it never piles up. Obviously large batch cooking is different, there will be multiple pans.
My mom used to clean off the food she didn't finish into the garbage and she would do it so fast and while she was so tired that utensils always went in the garbage. Don't even get me started on what used to end up in the fridge. 😂
New subscriber. Had to laugh as I can't tell you how many times I've had a juice glass get in the garbage disposal opening just like that. One tip I just discovered myself is with eggs and oatmeal, use cold water to get them out of pans, pots and off plates and bowls. Look forward to watching other videos. God bless.
Silverware and kid dishes are on a rotating list of stuff we buy from the thrift store. Not sure what my crazies do with them all 🤪 beyond using some for digging and adventuring outside 😂🙌🏻
Hubby and I joke that some day after we have moves someone will dig or use a metal finder and find all of our years worth of various silverware buried in various places in our yard lol 🙌🏻😂
Ugh your dishwasher! I am so sorry 😩I've had the same cheap dishwasher for over a decade and knock on wood, it's been great so far. Tyfs! Those cleaning products look really cool!
The first few seconds of this has me laughing out loud!! The music is perfect and you sassy face drinking that coffee with the mess Behind you, I tell you I watched the intro several times it never got old I laughed every time..thank you real mama!
Although I am far from that age, I am soon to be 65, I grew up in a home with up to 10 children. We were always short spoons....no matter what happened....and I know what happened to them too. The littler ones were always taking them out to dig with. I may have done that a time or two....but surely I brought the spoons back in! I only had two boys and I was constantly telling them to go outside and find some of my spoons. LOL
Look into a plastic scraper/pastry scraper to scrap the eggs off your pan.. it works so well, game changer for a few dollars. Trust me , my nana had 8 kids.
Don't know how you get the motivation to do all those dishes! Haha I think I'd just bin them at that point 🤣🤣🤣 ...... not really but I'd sure be tempted to 🤣🙈
