Imagine ur Juanfran, heartbreak when u missed the penalty while u walked back to the team and when u turn ur body around u see Ronaldo scored the decisive penalty to send Real Madrid won La Decima. Tragic
For me Ateletico Madrid and deigo Simeone is the greatest team to have not won the champions league in the last 5 years . They deserved so much more there could not be any other team like in Spain or anywhere else
@@sohanbijwar3532 Maybe but I think Juve got outplayed in both finals. Atletico actually played as good as Real in the 2016 final. In 2014 till minute 90th they were even, but honestly in extra time Real Madrid outplayed them
Fun Fact: In this year, Ronaldo also beat Griezmann and France in Euro final as Portugal, after previously faced his teammates, Bale in the semifinal against Wales. This made the final so exciting, as two most important players were the key to win both Euro and Champions League the same year.
“This is what Real Madrid is all about. When everyone thinks we are dead and buried, we go and win the Champions League. Real Madrid is synonymous with the Champions League. That is why we are the best.” - Alvaro Arbeloa (At the heart of La Undecima)
they're like the new england patriots. everytime people count them out they prove wrong in the end. the champions league and super bowls are real madrid and patriot's trophy to win!
It was his best season of his career in Madrid both in league and UCL. Scoring hattricks and 4 goals in a match, we probably never see him perform like this anymore
It's because he was expecting anyone to be cheeky. The thing is Madrid studied him and know his weakness in penalties. All the penalties were taken on the right side.
@@maxicozi2217 Ajax hahahaha be serious man, RM won three UCL in a row and 4 within 5 years Barcelona will never do that they lost to the Roma hehehe hihi
@@threadworm437 Real Madrid did, Ronaldo did nothing. In that final he wasnt even playing, he just took the last penalti and acted like he had done anything.. Messi forever above Ronaldo
@ferst262 he was top scorer of that ucl campaign, this final is 7 years old and messi still hasn't even come somewhat close to winning another ucl 😭😭 meanwhile ronaldo threepeated it, being top scorer in all 3 😭😭 cry
@@threadworm437 his team did it all, with Modric and Kross and Benzema on assist mode. Half his goals were penalties, the other half throwing to an empty net after someone made the pass. Messi has a World Cup and way more ballon d’or and Ronaldo hasn’t even come close to any of those 😂 playing in Saudi 😂 benched by Portugal and Manchester United 😂
I'm a Barcelona fan. Atletico Madrid defeated us and knocked us out of the quarter-final. Yet I was still rooting for them. I wanted them to achieve a Champions League title. They deserve it. After what they had gone through in 2014. When I saw Juanfran missed the penalty, I was heartbroken. There couldn't be a chance like that ever again.
@@alanledesma4945 fr, they lost again vs rma the year after this, in the biggest matches of their club that season, the semi finals of the ucl this club has suffered, deserves a ucl titles
@@Fernandez- Yeah, they lost to Real Madrid 4 seasons in a row. 2014 final, 2015 quarter finals, 2016 final and 2017 semifinal. I'm sure that Atletico would have won at least 1 Champions if they hadn't face Madrid. But such is life
Luka probably thinking: we prolong the game till penalty to beat them, just need stability and stamina , better than two years ago ( atletico de Madrid ) but this is Real Madrid - best of all times champ, the world no.1
You don't "deserve" a trophy. Valencia in 2001 was one of the best teams in the world and they too lost in penalty shootouts against Bayern Munich in their second consecutive final. That was their last chance to win it, and they ruined it. That's how football is.
@@HRDP21 so pretty much like france 2006 suffered the same fate. heavy favorite but lose to italy in penalty shootouts. you're right that's how football is :P
@@dantealighieri4005 Because Juventus has a shitty game because of Allegri, however if you see every goal of Juventus in the Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo made them
I remember watching this live at 2am in the morning and the electricity went off after yanik scored and I was so pissed off. However I didn't knew the score till the next evening and watched it on a repeat telecast on TV
During the threepeat: Bale: 5 goals 7 assists Benzema: 14 goals 1 assist Ronaldo: 43 goals 13 assists Ronaldo during these years 15/16: 16 goals 4 assists 16/17: 12 goals 6 assists 17/18: 15 goals 3 assists The comeback against Wolfsburg, the decisive penalty in the shootout in the final The 5 goals in 2 games against Bayern in the QFs, then another hattrick against Atletico in the semis, then 2 goals in the final against Juventus First player ever to score in every group stage game, 3 goals against PSG in the RO16, the overhead kick against Juventus, the penalty in the 96th minute to shoot Real past Juve into the semifinals, scoring in 11 consecutive games (record)... he broke the goalscoring record two out of three seasons Real Madrid won 4 cls in 5 seasons and Ronaldo scored 70 goals and gave 22 assists in this period. 92 goal contributions in 61 games🤯 Absolutely legendary. We'll never see anything like it again
En este partido Bale lo dejó TODO. No paró nunca. Aguantó hasta el final. No se rindió hasta patear su penal. Anotó y las piernas no dieron para más. Mi respeto y admiración.
that night when juanfran hit the post my heart broke my passion to football left I've never felt so sad in my entire life ,and until this day I'm still have that feeling when I see this and I know no one will understand that feeling
I was in a friend's house with some other friends. everyone was supporting atletico Madrid I was the only Real fan. I remember being so happy jumping around the house and my friends were screaming 😂
Although I am real Madrid fan but feel very sorry for Atletico Madrid they deserved to win 1 champion league of griezmann could have scored that penalty who knows they could have won easily
Ateletico Madrid and deigo Simeone is the greatest team to have not won the champions league in the last 5 years . They deserved so much more there could not be any other team like in Spain or anywhere else but this year will be 2020 champions league winners come on athletic Madrid i'm de atletico madrid fun.
Did anyone noticed one irony of that penalty shootout ? Atletico Madrid players shoot all their shots to their left side and Real Madrid to their right🌜
simeone and zidane are both a legendary managers and players. Simeone madrid is revived and a terror in europe and zidane madrid is the only one can stop them. The people of madrid should be proud of both clubs
I'm sure ronaldo misses Real Madrid as much as we miss him. Even if he doesn't say, his face tells all after every Juventus game Real Madrid and Ronaldo were a match made in heaven. Neither Ronaldo nor did Real Madrid benefit from this break up. The only person who benefitted from this break up is Leo Messi.
Ronaldo is in his first season with Juve. In his first season with Real it wasn’t good even though he was performing great. Same thing here, there’s only so much he can do with a new team who have a completely different style and etc. He will adapt, or the team will change and he will find success because that’s what he does. With Real, if they get the signings they want, they’ll definitely put up a good fight for all trophies. They’ll both be fine but probably not reach the same heights they did from 2014/2018.

Thanks UEFA's youtube channel for uploading final flashback's. Requesting you to upload as many final flashback's as soon as possible since it has been a while you have uploaded the same. We are eagerly waiting.
As a Madrid fan we did not deserve the win, we were outplayed until Ramos used all his training against Messi in a UCL final on Salah, that was fucked up but come to think of it, he had to do what he had to do and ofc Karius motherfucking Karius
Hardly a flash back that wasn’t even two years ago lol a better flashback would be Mourinhos first title in ‘04 or Arsenal coming close in ‘06 or Messi’s brilliance in ‘11
