Astonishing but simple effetcs of the wave/corpuscle duality of light particles known as Photons, this video demonstrates with simple apparatus that de world around us is truly weird and quite magical. Baffling !
This was great. I'm thinking that if light is a partical, some should pass through the second polarized glass through the intersections of the two polarized glasses. If light is a wave the first polarized glass would have a "double slit" affect causing 50% (I think you said) to be at an oblique angle. The second polarized glass would do the same, realigning some light waves to be in polarization with the third polarized glass. This would also explain why it works. This video is a keeper.
Nothing magical really, light or "photons" exists both as a wave and a particle but not at the same time. When the electric and magnetic field of a photon reach the vertex it's no longer a wave, but more a particle, so regardless of the polarization filter if the photon encounters the filter when it's acting more like a particle than a wave, it gets through no matter the polarization angle because the filter only discriminates against waves of certain angles and not "electromagnetic particles".
