OMG that little baby is freaking adorable!!! I'm so happy that Richey and his family came back and got Mickey and a little friend. I think they'll be a happy little family.
the way mickey just kept trying to get under the fluffy baby and lay down was so sweet. he seemed like he just wanted to be close to his new friend but I don't know guinea pig language that well. 🤣
I love you guys more and more everytime I watch a new video. I wish I lived on the West Coast so I could meet all of you and help out as well. Thank you for all that you do, Scott, the LA Guinea Pig Rescue, and all of the Volunteers. You guys Rock 💗
I’ve had my two guinea pigs for almost three weeks now, and I thought when they were grooming themselves, they were scratching. I was worried and googled it and thought they may have ring worm or a parasite. Omg. I’m so relieved lol. My boys are gonna keep me on my toes. I’ll never be able to stop learning about guinea pigs. 😂😂❤️
What a beautiful family and a happy ending!! I really needed this today after getting some news about a very heartbreaking neglect situation near me. Thanks guys!!
Scotty you are gorgeous, you are so sweet with the GPs.......I have crazy love for two long hair GP brothers I rescued over a year ago now, they melt my heart every day, have to kiss them, which they now put up with!! Seems I am treating them right, watched your other videos. I create cardboard box city for them to explore in them in their large cage, and out on the lawn in the summer,(I never leave them alone) they love it. We live in New Zealand. I keep them indoors, they have a large area, 15sq ft. I can sit in there with them, they clamber up on my legs to get the carrot and parsley. They are creatures of comfort, they like to lie on soft fluffy cushion covers rather on the hay/bedding. I am their slave, happily!!
I am glad these little guys were adopted My. 2 gulnea pigs. I had to separate do to rolling around fighting I got bit. trying to separate them. I have set now to where they can see each other Thank you for all the work you do God bless all of you
Fully agree with the video title. Great to see so much attention being spent on bonding, so any pair of GP that leaves the Rescue, gets off to the best possible start.
@Scotty's Animals hey scotty i have almost 3 years old pigy and i noticed she sneez and sometimes runy nose plz i live in iran what anti biotic you use on mickey its alot of help if you can share it with me i could send you my piggys pic later if you want i have to see vet tommaro for ivomectin treatment for 3rd time cuz my pigy had some balding issue and after 3 week shes hair is coming back sorry for my long comment and bad english
What beautiful piggies! Oh, my goodness, is that one you were holding gorgeous! He looked a little startled, that baby doll. Oh, how I wish I was there, Scotty!
Well this just melted my heart! They are so beautiful together. I really hope the other pair are a good bond too, simply gorgeous. You have such a positive attitude towards their bonding process, you explained it well. Hope Mickey recovers quick and I'll definately be checking out your website xxx
Scotty....you have an amazing and pure energy....that's why the piggies love you so much....you understand the needs thay have....it's vary much effortless communication from them to you....thay don't have the need to work so hard for you to attend to there needs....so you'll always have that special bond with piggies that so many people wish thay had.....with that said....we know that you however put so much work in making sur you fulfill there needs. Your awesome!❤
Scotty's Animals also after they are 6 months old they should only have 1/8th cup of pellets each pig, every day. Y’all should put that on the website!
I'm saving up $135 to get my guinea pig a friend atm, because hes lonely in his big 4x4 c&c cage. my shelters guinea pigs are 15-20$ but I want to be able to pay for their food, hay, vegetables, snugglesacks, etc. my mom and dad say no cause they cant afford it, so either I'm saving money or I'll convince my parents to give him to a herd. He needs a companion :(
Scotty's Animals thank you so much. so, should I take my guinea pig to the shelter to see? Or what should I do to make sure they're bonded before I purchase another one? My parents arent coming to terms with the fact that he needs a companion, I've tried to explain to them that no human companion can compare to their own species, I've even talked to vets about it, they just seem unfazed. any advice would be super appreciated.
make fights can be very bad. you can neuter your male for relatively cheap, wait about a month after that , you can get your male a female. check out skinnypigs1, she gives out so much information.
I enjoyed this video so much! I really hope this Rescue takes good care of the Guinea Pigs. We need to do God's work with lots and lots of love and patience. Scotty, if you love animals the same way I do, everything you do for them won't feel like you're working to take care of them or that they are a burden to you, they will melt your ❤ automatically! These little guys know how to appreciate the person that takes good care of them. Many people do things for others just for their own benefit. 😠 If I could I would take care of all the animals in the world, and not expect anything in RETURN!!!☺
This is the greatest happy life mickey and Bucky. Thank you for doing the update and adoption. Richard and his. Family are awesome. Also what was the link to the tour of the ranch? Silly me can’t find it.
hi scott. the idea with the adoption-frame in front of the rescue is very good. it seems, your days have more than 24 hours, when i'm looking at your homepage...... really good work!! you have a mood at the rescue.... i often hear laughter there.... so nice. thanks for everything, scott!! 🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹 your "sewing fairy".
Someone told me.. that you could take and make a fruit and veggies puree, to feed cavies who are having hard time putting on and matianing weight, Scott what do u suggest?
Great vid again Scotty. Especially since Richard actually followed up on his promise. Small tip though. at 9:45 you posted a great tip about the food requirments for the piggies. Maybe it's an idea to link it in the discription below so that information won't get lost in the video itself. Keep it up man.
Just the links to both your websites. which is great! But because of the lenght of the vid the info might get lost. Also, maybe if you guys have time it would be great to make a vid about the checks you guys do that anyone can do at home with their Piggy's. As you know with piggy's their health can deteriorate quickly of you don't know what to look for or watch out for. A specific vid about that would be really helpfull for most piggy owners I think.
Question My guinea pig merit only sneezes when he’s in hay and there’s normally some dust in it and my other one will sneeze when I wash the blanket. Is that normal? I don’t have a job at the moment but when I did I took them every 2 weeks lol. I hope they’re okay though....
I’m confused. The babies, especially the on the right, just look like they are being humped on and beat up on. That baby doesn’t look like it doesn’t care about the food but the older one is rumble strutting and not allowing the baby to even get close to the food.
i wanted to ask a quick question, I have 4 guinea pigs, 2 boys and 2 girls. The boys are neutered but hate each other (son and father) i split them up too early i think and i wanted to ask if there is anyway to repair their bond together? They were amazing at the begining...idk what really happened
Thank you for the quick reply! yeah i am doing that but thought if there might be a chance for them to live together in peace. Thank you for your advice and will continue watching your videos for any tips and ideas :)
We used to house 2 of our males together fine. We were given a pair of girls and that was when our problems started. The boys started fighting because the could smell the girls.
Got it. We've lost 2 pigs since Christmas and have learned that whenever we even SUSPECT something if off...to run to the vet! They are so good at hiding symptoms; and we are attentive owners who interact with them many times a day. We have one of the NoCal babies from LA rescue; he's now 8 months old!
i miss having guinea pigs, i used to have a male and three girls. then our neighbours dogs broke into our house and ate them all :( we didnt end up getting more though because i was allergic.
So feedback from anybody for this is welcomed. I don’t know what to do I have two girl guinea pigs and they can’t be cagemates. I adopted both and I can tell my second wants a friend but the first doesn’t want anything to do with her. I’m conflicted I can’t get another but I don’t know how to make them friends. The first is a very picky eater she won’t eat peppers or lettuce no matter how long I offer it. Whereas second will eat anything u put in her cage. So introductions hard because while second preoccupied with food the first will attack her.
Hey. Is this still going on? How long have you had them for? Bonding as he calls it takes a lot of time, and they will have several rounds before they are done. You must not interfer unless they are fighting so much that one or both is bleeding. If you interfer and seperate them they will have to start over. When you feed them, give them one piece each. They will still discuss and fight over it if one is finished before the other, but just let them. Guinea pigs are different just like me and you, so if one of them don't eat what's served even if you tried it several times, it just don't like it. My guinea pigs do not like peppers, and I can't blame them, as I totally agree xD Anyways, take it easy, close your eyes and ears when they are arguing and let them figure it out. It can take weeks before thay are completely done, and they do it more often in the beginning. As said before, do not interfer unless it is absolutely necessary :)
16 piggys and 2 rabbits.all of them are other peoples throw always.people get them and decide they are to much work or that they don't act like dogs so they get rid of them.most of them were in horrible shape when they came to me.but they are all happy and healthy now.the rabbits, well I just got the male neutered, but I'm afraid it might be a little late,so lm hoping the female isn't going to deliver any surprises in the next month
