Replicas are useful for the people that can’t afford the shoes that have a +300% inflated resale value, I know some people refuse to wear replicas but when you find that great looking replica of the shoe you always wanted; for the right price there’s no beating that.

I just bought these replicas for $150. Went into a legit store to compare to the real one which where being sold for $350. Me and my daughter could literally not tell the difference. Quality of my rep was on point. Even the new shoe smell was there. I'm a grown ass man with bills and priorities if reps can match the same quality as the original and I can get my hands on them without trying to do some dumbass lottery or waiting in a line for a pair of real sneakers...I'm going with reps. And I will proudly tell you that they are fakes.

Your last point is very valid. As long as the fakes are cheaper and you know they are fake then ok. But it's when they're sold as real that there's a problem.

Problem comes when you pay for reps at store bought price. Common sense don't buy shoes new from people selling them for half price you have to know they are not real.....
They're basically made in the same factory except on the side and probably at night and without the final QC. Which is why they're so good. You have to wonder if you can't tell the difference than which is fake?
Nailed it. Except there often is final QC. And even if it's a different factory, the moulds and the source components are the same or indistinguishable. And these shoes have been around for over 25 years - plenty of time to get it right.
they are not made in the same factory thats a common myth, there are also tier levels of fakes with some using cheaper material and others using very similar or some of the same as the real but there are not many fakes that are true replicas as in made basically identical to the real ones. They keep getting better at making them each year though, it may get to a point where they can make them to where you cant tell but not yet.

Keep in mind a sneaker factory is not a one stop shop for all components. A sneaker factory is in most cases more an assembly point of components, which are brought in from elsewhere. For example, the adidas ultraboost has an outsole made in one location, the midsole in another, the heel counter another etc etc. But the the knit upper is made where the shoes are assembled. SZo the final assembly point is not as important as where and how the source material were acquired. The knit upper with the ultraboost was initially tricky to duplicate, but the CNC knitting machines are now widely available as is the knit material and the coding for the knitting sequences has made it out into the wild. And this is really a very high tech shoe. The Jordan 11 is 25+ years old. There's nothing secret about the process to make it. There are tons of suppliers for the materials and excellent quality moulds, with plenty of people who used to make them in legitimate factories able to sell their skills to smaller operators.
It's a no win situation: there's always a flip side. if he doesn't do the videos, people will get stung with fakes without knowing it. He does do it, and some people think "Damn, so close, why pay resale...and especially why pay resale if I may get stung anyway?"

@@GoopieG you do understand reps are UAs basically made by the same people who make the “retail or authorized” pairs right? Just because Nike didn’t sell them retail don’t mean they are fakes. The pair in the video are what you call over stock or “slightly defects” little to know issues, they are technically the real pair. It’s just branding, trust, and quality that makes them “real” the fakes are wrong colors, bad materials and made with wrong machines.
Not until you put the side by side stills of the two shoes did I notice the difference. If I saw the fakes in person by themselves, I could never call them out.
How do we know it’s not the same factories in China (or wherever else) that’s making both pairs..? Maybe they already make the real ones for Jordan brand and figured hey why not make more profit under the table also. We never know where exactly these shoes are being outsourced to. 🤷🏻♂️
Generally what happens is some of the patterns and tools get borrowed and copied,. Sometimes the rep factory can even source the same materials. Then they build the shoes with legit materials with legit production methods but with their own employees.
The resell hype market just feeds the reps market. Ill rather buy reps then overpriced originals People have to start wearing shoes instead of reselling them. Buy a ff photo of em if you just want to look at em
That's why I don't buy anything on the resell market. Fakes are scary good nowadays and is got to the point when even experts like hes can't tell when the shoe is fake or not. For me is retail at Nike or other stores, or nothing.
I agree but if you ordering shoes from flight club stock x stadium goods goat etc etc, you cannot tell they are fake unless you a pro at it and all you can do is trust these apps and sites that sell them

My think of it is i feel way more comfortable wearing a fake pair because i know i can actually wear them. Im 32 i dont care what little boys and girls on the internet or at the mall think. I was able to get 2 pairs of bred 11's and i spent 180 bucks shipped. You couldn't tell the difference before you looked in that box or smelled them. If anyone comes up to me asking to smell my j's ima mace them lol.
They both come out of the same shops, let's be real here. Same blue prints, same materials, even same factories sometimes, same materials, same molds... I bought real 11s for 250$ and fakes one for 50$... they both grew old the same way, broke apart in the same places. They felt the same, looked the same. No difference. If you put hundreds of dollars in a pair of sneakers, you an idiot. I used to be, never again. Vietnam all the way.
Basically just goes to show you that there isn't any point in paying for resale, especially if the resale is ludicrous. By all means, go and try to cop retail if you like the shoe. If you lucked out and get an L, "fakes" are there and have your back.
Scary stuff. I was lucky enough to get 5 authentic pairs from various raffles and none of them are identical and all have various imperfections, so side-by-side comparisons don’t even work with those. Jubilee’s aren’t reselling for much over retail so to knowingly pay retail for a fake doesn’t really stack up but imagine the same with something like a Union 1- £150 for a 1:1 fake or £1,500 for real.. 😕

Only thing u have to look at is the mesh behind the foam. Real pairs are tight and sharp trapezoids while the fake pair have loose mesh that isn’t glued to the foam all the way to the edge. 💯💡
There are some rep sights that offer insurance for a few more dollars, so if your shoes get seized at customs they’ll send you a new pair. It’s not a big problem though buying single pairs. The stuff getting seized is those big money multi shoe shipments.
