This is Jimmy Barnes, guitar 🎸 player is Ian Moss with rest of Cold Chisel. Joe Bonamassa is NOT in this video. Joe was too young at the time of this recording. In 1982 Joe was only 5 years old. When a person sings, they use their vocal cords … What are you using Jimmy? My secondary cords or "false cords". There are groups of them around the main cords. I discovered this many years ago. I'd had a bug, and because it was such a big show and we were postponing, I had to get a doctor's certificate for insurance. This throat specialist put a camera down my throat, and had me talking and singing. And he said, "You don't use your vocal cords." Singers who scream as much as I do tend to have problems. But my body found a way of self-defence. I can't talk, but I can still sing."

who is Joe Bonamassa?
@bella-xp7qd
@bella-xp7qd 9 месяцев назад
@raresaturn Joe is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter. Joe was playing in bands at age 9 with guys 20 years older than him. He started his professional career at age twelve, when he opened for B.B. King. Since 2000, Bonamassa has released fifteen solo albums through his independent record label J&R Adventures, of which eleven have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Blues chart. He was featured in Jimmy Barnes song Stone Cold. Also Jimmy's daughter Mahalia has toured with Joe Bonamassa as a backup singer. Should check out Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart live in Amsterdam.

Thanks. It's nIce to see Chisel getting some recognition. For a real feel for the band in concert - and they were a killer live band - :I'd recommend "Wild Thing: (Last Stand); "When the War is Over" and "Bow River" from their Ringside show. Or for studio recordings: "You've Got Nothing I Want"; "Breakfast at Sweethearts"; "Flame Trees"; "Saturday Night"; "Working Class Man"; "Khe Sanh" etc etc etc

I love a Cold Chisel reaction. I've got this band in my top 3 all time rock bands along with Led zeppelin and Metallica. This video was early 80's...probably around 1982/83. If you want to see a great live performance, check out Cold Chisel singing "Wild Thing" at their Last Stand concerts. You won't be disappointed. This band is something else and Jimmy is a legend...if i'm honest, i've probably undersold them to you.

I heard someone say once that Cold Chisel were Rolling Stones class. That struck me because I hadn't thought of them that way, but I don't think he was wrong.
@Rassskle
@Rassskle 10 месяцев назад
@@MariaBM1I would have thought that Cold Chisel were a class above The Stones, but despite their own great songs, The Chisel never had Keefe Richards as song writer and rhythm guitarist nor Charlie Watts on drums giving sublime jazz and calypso rhythms to Keefe's music. lol

The song is from 1982 and as the official video, i would expect the video to be 1982 as well. Maybe Ozz was 10 years ahead of the US and Europe ?

Yeah, the sound on the original Forever Now video needs remastering. It's definitely a bit dodgy and muffled in parts.

No Joe Bonamassa in this clip. Ian Moss on guitar, Jimmy Barnes singing. The whole band is in the clip (the creepy guy isn't in the band though).

This video has a little audio issue. Ive watched it before. Cold chisel broke up about 1984 I think. So early 80s this song. Jim Barnes on vocals. Ian Moss on guitar also does lead vocals on many songs, he's fantastic

I don’t know why Chisel don’t remaster this video. It clearly sounds like an old VHS recording!

@@JynxFree oh my, I am a girl of the late 70’s and all through the 80’s. Saw amazing live bands every weekend in Melbourne , Victoria. We were so spoilt for brilliant music. Saw AC/DC with the amazing one and only Bon Scott so many times as a teenager, so exciting to be alive then. There are just so many great Aussie Pub Rock bands, Icehouse (still amazing to this day), Australian Crawl, The Angels (just fricking amazing), Cold Chisel, Matt Finish, Liquid Engineers, Men at Work, Skyhooks, Split Enz, Goanna, Redgum, Screaming Jets, the excellent Hunters and Collectors, so many more that my old brain cannot remember. For us, it was the place to be for live music, you Americans talk about the Sunset Strip but we had it spread all over Melbourne. It was a magical time to be alive and we knew it. Plus it was so easy to get into pubs underage back then,I started going from the age of 14.

Thanks for the Reaction. Make sure though that you view more Cold Chisel and lead singer Jimmy Barnes vid's especially live gigs. Bonamassa was the guitarist in the previous video you showed with Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa 🙂 Stone Cold...

This song is older than you - early 80's. This band has been around since the 1970s. Jimmy Barnes is singing - not Joe. Joe was not in Cold Chisel.

Jimmy and Cold Chisel - 'Wild Thing' cover live is something you should react to - it will show you what kind of rocker Jimmy was and how good this band was - Jimmy still a great singer now in his late 60's

Your room has a lot of low end action. Have you thought about getting some acoustic treatment ? It'd help a lot and make your voice much clearer. Cheers,
