The sad truth is the top management just cared for their own benefits rather than the company itself. If there is no pride instilled in people for the the company they work for, a company cannot survive. Reducing number of routes/planes and staying in profit should not have been rocket science for a company to stay afloat. Its the strict selfishness of top brass which ruined Jet Airways! They don’t deserve Jet Airways! Good luck Captain!
My husband is a captain of Jet Airways too. He was very dedicated for the company almost 10 years. When I moved to India 3 years ago, everything was brilliant and he couldn't enjoy his job more, what really made us happy. And even he hasn't been paid for 5 months (as well as other pilots), he still didn't want to leave Jet, because of his loyalty and love for his company. One month ago we both agreed that we'd wait and in the meantime we'd use our savings and of course my salaries, but now honestly it's become harder and harder to believe that the airline will revive:( We think that there are only unrealistic promises and hopes and it will be a miracle if Jet will revive soon. Probably that's the end... Unfortunately, now it's time look for a job in other airlines. Waiting also has limits, especially when you have to pay for everything... I think you should go for Vistara airlines, as it offers a great service and is good in its quality...( but it has less fleet size operational as per today).....but as per now seeing the condition of JET, you might move on ☺️☺️ best of luck..

But, I think it is time to move & luckily you have many options tp choose from namely Indigo, Air Asia, Vistara, SpiceJet & Emirates (tax free income). Join any company which flies a320 recently Boeing hasn't been going good with 737 family and u will get to have an experience of airbus too. Fly for Indigo or Vistara in India or if u need to fly b737 only join Oman Air,fly Dubai or spice.
I m not known about aviation department because I attached with health department (doctor) but I advised u my bro falls and pick days come and gone in our life so don't be tense worried ,just enjoy ...and you should switch over another airline...don't spoil our precious days of life...and your have a lots of talent dear so if suppose you may join any other airline dame sure you will superior than the other pilot ...love u caption ...best luck for your bright future..
I remember a sector Calicut to Chennai which was started in two days, half of the ground people didn't even know abt the route. I did the first flight with only 4 heads in the cabin. Many sectors were started without any mkt research keeping in mind the demand by the pax. Not having a direct flight from del to goa(most profitable sector) which only 9W ppl know why it didn't exist.. Anyways, Jet is always going to be the first love for me, wish you all the luck for future Capt.Tapesh!

Great video- I think the airlines was in major losses due to high operating costs. Generally in fleet companies who have a heavy investment in their operating/ capital assets ie the aircraft in this case there is usually a high charge of depreciation, interest on debt which are fixed charges within the profit and loss account and therefore the net margin line was in big losses. Also, high payroll costs as you said, high cost of mouth fresheners/ food items while not passing the direct cost to the consumer will have a direct impact on the net margin line. I do agree with you on management not making the best decisions for the business which resulted in the temporary shut down. I hope it revives and thrives in future.

You should join indigo as it doesn’t have any losses since 2011 and is a very stable airline and this would also mean that you wouldn’t have two switch airline again I just hope jet starts again feel sorry for your loss
It's difficult because he's a certified pilot for Boeing aircraft and in indigo their whole fleet consists of Airbus family aircrafts. First of all he has to be certified for a Airbus aircraft to join indigo as a pilot.
Indigo is the most profitable airline but currently they have been underpaying their pilots. Many of Indigo pilots especially Commanders are quitting the company and joining airlines like Air Asia.
I agree with you passenger and cargo side they were doing very well. No reason how the well do the company has blown out over night. We can't wait to see Mr. Goyal behind the bar.
Jet was running a very expensive operation in an inefficient manner. There was no way it could compete with other low cost airlines. Also founder Naresh Goyal has to be blamed for mismanagement

Majority of Jetairways employees were paid more than what they deserve.... Thats one of the main reason of their fall... Jetairways wont revive at any cost, period....
@@aru4riz I agree Jet Airways's salaries were higher than other airlines but it's not the reason why the airline incurred losses. Running an airline in india is one herculean task that too as a full service carrier.

Sir I don’t agree about cramped seats. Im a frequent flyer. Jet’s 739’s are more cramped than Indigo’s 320’s. aapke 738 ki seat pitch is at par with indigo

I found leg space on indigo more then in Jet Airways for a320 and 737 respectively! Indigo is an great airline! And that dollar to rupee factory,oil prices is also a challenge to them! It's not only Jet Airways which run on fuel!

The reason why Jet Airways has shut down operations is the huge debt. Cost is an issue but the real issue was that Naresh Goyal had taken a lot of debt.

Jet's major mistake was not flying direct to more international destinations e.g. new thin long routes which can make money using aircraft like the 787 Dreamliner. Margins of international flying are much better and could have covered most of the money lost in domestic operations.
My dear friend I was also one of the old employee of jet airways. The company was doing very well the money had been siphoned off abroad. It was all planned. Now this has been disclosed by Enforcement team. I m sorry don't agree with your comment on shutting down.

One of reason also bad luggage policy which forcefully divert loyal customer to there compition. I was loyal to jet so many years i dont even remember. I had to paid 2-3 occasions for over weight even i m coming from abroad. Where intl flight allow u lets say 20kg. But here in domestic they consider 15 kg only. Even u show ur intl flight booking still they dont consider. Where elas indigo will consider ur inlt flight weight in ur donestic flight too. So i stopped fly through jet. Each flight i end up paying 4-5 k for my extra baggage bez they consider 15 kg only. It was ridiculous. Infact one of airline staff were also saying same story happening to many customer. He is also tired giving answer to all customer for this stupid baggage policy. Himself said flight are not getting full after this policy applied. Many Customer go away n find another option. Its really sad. N still miss jet. I hope one day again i m able to fly in jet.

Join idigo or Air Asia as far as the passengers are concerned but. Buddy move to Emirates or other middle east, pay is aweome and taxfree. Btw, thx for the inputs on "siphoning money" by top insiders. If I was running an airline competing with low cost discount, only Rs. 100 will be allocated for the meals NOT mouth freshners.
