Rest and peace. I think of the quote that it has less to do with the circumstances of our lives, and everything to do with the focus of our lives. If I'm grounded in Christ and keep the long view, rest and peace is more natural and instinctual.

Your comments are inspiring and uplifting. However, you do us all a disservice by not mentioning Words of Mormon which bridges the gap between the large and small plates of Nephi. Also, you do not mention the large stone (Omni 1:20) that was brought to Mosiah to translate which told about the Jaredites and Coriantumr who lived with the people of Zarahemla for 9 moons after the Jaredites were destroyed. It also talks about King Benjamin using the sword of Laban to fight the Lamanites. We only know of one stone with engravings in the entire Book of Mormon and it was brought to Mosiah to translate. It probably weighed less than 100 pounds. If it was a 20-ton Mayan carved stone, Mosiah would have been taken to the stone because it was so heavy. This proves that the Book of Mormon did not take place in Mesoamerica, because of the many Mayan glyphs. I believe Coriantumr created the engravings on the stone during the 9 moons that he lived with the people of Zarahemla. Not covering these beautiful teachings incorrectly reinforces in people's minds that there was only one set of plates and they don't understand what was contained in both sets of plates (and how Joseph translated each set of plates using the Urim and Thummin (not the fake seer stone in a hat) and in which order at Harmony and Fayette) and all the other records that Mormon had access to during his abridgement. Also, that Moroni abridged the Jaredite record known to us as the Book of Ether. The Urim and Thummin was given to the brother of Jared and passed down through the prophets to Mosiah and down to Moroni and Joseph Smith. The seer stone in the hat is revisionist history perpetuated by scholars and intellectuals and goes against what Joseph and Oliver taught about the translation. This is causing a faith crisis for too many people. Your viewers must not be kept from the truth. During your lesson covering Mosiah 8 you can take a deep dive into the 24 Jaredite plates and how they were translated using the Urim and Thummim and how Joseph used this same instrument of translation and NEVER used the seer stone in a hat to translate. Joseph Smith said 6 times in his history that the Urim and Thummim was used to translate the plates. D&C 17:1 states that the 3 Witnesses would be able to view 5 sacred objects. Notice the bogus seer stone in a hat was not mentioned! This knowledge will help get people out of their faith crisis about how the Book of Mormon was translated. I know everyone reading this part of the Book of Mormon and trying to teach it would put emphasis on what they thought was the most important in such a limited time.
