If you could change your name, what would you change it to and why? Why are names so powerful and important?
President Russell M. Nelson recently promised that if you make the correction to say you’re a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and not a Mormon and not LDS, that God will pour down His power upon you. This correction isn’t a minor inconvenience. It is a true command of the Lord.
In 3 Nephi 30 verses 1-2, we learn what a testimony is based on. This two-verse testimony pleads with us to come unto Christ and be baptized. What’s your two-verse testimony?
In the first part of 4 Nephi, we get a beautiful description of what Zion is/should be. Zion is people choosing to grab heaven and bring it to Earth. While there will be no more “-ites” that doesn’t mean there won’t be diversity. Zion will be diverse, but we will be one in Christ, moving forward with one accord. We will lean into the paradoxes and the fears of vulnerability, and we will embrace our differences rather than try to erase them.
Are you more Zion or less Zion? What is heaven to you, and is your heaven expansive? Are you creating heaven now or are you waiting for it to come to you?

🙏 Thank you for the love and prayers in memory of our dear missionaries who died on their mission!🙏 Tomorrow my dear friend pauses on the 1st year anniversary of her daughter's death in Switzerland! She was serving in the mission right next to where my uncle served when he also died as a missionary! The Sunday night before my Uncle died he gave a fireside to the branch there in Plauen Germany. He testified for 1 hour of the importance of the work for the dead as "the most important work to take place on the earth for our sakes!". Thanks again for the acknowledgment of the many missionary families who did not get the celebratory airport reunion, the tender hug, the squeeze of a hand, a word, a glance, a kiss, or a whisper goodbye to, or from, their loved one. 🙏⛅💝

I was so glad when I learned, a few years ago, that Thomas Marsh came back to the church. Just like I was glad when Martin Harris and Oliver Cowdery came back. Life could not have been easy for any of them. I think there's so much joy in the prodigal son!

I listen to the podcast, but I had a cool thought, and where better to share than the RU-vid comments? When God said to be wise like serpents, it made me think of the serpent in the garden of Eden. How did he tempt Eve? By promising knowledge of good and evil if she ate the fruit. To me, serpents now represent knowledge and wisdom, but we have to be careful, because obviously the serpent tempted Eve to sin. In D&C 111:11, God says to be as wise as serpents and yet without sin, and I think that’s so much more meaningful if you think about what serpents represent.

Do you have a real talk real life through the book of Mormon (or something similar)? We listen to your RU-vid videos each week (and LOVE it) and have purchased your real talk real life through the Doctrine and Covenants. My husband is a new convert and is having some trouble understanding the book of Mormon. Thanks a bunch!!
