Back in January of 2021, I was in the hospital after being hospitalized because of Covid. I was lost, depressed and very sick. The doctors told me that if I waited 1 more day, I could've died from Covid because I was so sick. Being in the hospital alone and not knowing if I was going to make it out alive made me reflect on a lot of things. One of them was my career path. I opened up RU-vid, and your channel came up. You had just started your career as a solo esthetician back in August of 2020, and I fell in love with you, your channel, and everything that was you! I binged watched all your episodes. I mean, I couldn't do anything else. You changed my life by just being you. When I got out of the hospital, the first thing I told my husband was, "I am going to become an Esthetician." He thought I was crazy. 2 yrs later, I am a licensed esthetician working for a professional skin care line. Because of you, I took the leap of faith, and it has completely changed my world. So when you have the slightest doubt if you are helping us, just know that this gals life was completely transformed because of you!!!❤ Thank you, and keep your positive thoughts high! Life is not meant to be easy, and you will get through this because it too shall pass! ❤❤

Kristen, let me tell you how your content is helping me. I’m also a single mother, getting through esty school and a month away from graduating. These past 7 months I’ve had to cut my work hours to just 12 hrs a week, juggle school and taking care of my toddler while several times not having a dolllar to my name. I’ve struggled with postpartum anxiety and panic attacks, and luckily we found a housing program to keep a roof over our head otherwise we’d be homeless, for real. It takes all my mental and emotional strength to stay focused on the goal, to stay motivated and excited, and disciplined all so I can graduate and start my own business so I can be a success like you. It takes courage for women in our positions to be honest about the struggles we deal with as parents and as sole providers, because not many can relate and not everyone understands our motivation. Please understand how important your authenticity and determination has been for so many like myself. We see you and we think, maybe I can do it too. ❤

Hi, I never do this, but I feel like it’s important that you know how much you’ve impacted my life. Long story short, i related to you on sooo many different levels (single mom, Hawaiian roots, big tomboy, etc…) You inspired me to go to Esty school, start my solo business (YES, I bought your series ❤) and I’m one week away from my Grand Opening. You say it all the time this is your journey, you're sharing it with us. Your classes and mentoring programs will get better with time just like everything else has. I’m 44 and I’ve been working as an Esthetician for 12 years and I am still going through ups and downs with my business and watching a few of your videos has inspired me and taught me so much already. So keep doing what you’re doing because I promise you…you are making a difference even with this video that makes us feel like we are not alone in the struggles of having our own business or working as an Esthetician. This is a really vulnerable business to be in and we are brave for putting ourselves out there with clients and then training students. You have changed my mind into going back into esthetics. I’ve been an Estheitician since 2011 and I stopped because what you sort of touched on the critique from clients, possible negativity. It drained my energy and made me not like the industry anymore. But I am back to doing esthetics again this time in a beauty bar owned by a company so not as great because the gossip, the hourly isn’t amazing and the environment but I am hoping to open my own business one day as a mom. I know the hard work it takes, working more then 1 job and everything it’s hard. Keep going you are a light in this industry to not give up. Just remember you are the professional, you can’t be nervous or rattled when you ARE and ALWAYS will be the professional 🩷🙏🏻 thanks girl for this video and all the content

I’m a massage therapist in Texas, 39 years old, and you are one of the people that inspired me to finally quit chasing and actually open my own place and I am doing my best to make that happen as we speak! All I gotta say is that I literally needed to hear this. I have been going through a season of a lot of hard work and there’s days I just want to give up. I have always looked up to as an esthetician and have so much respect for you🦋 don’t ever stop blessing others with your videos and online courses over some people who don’t see the value. Because you have ALOT to offer and shouldn’t be blocked over 1-2 people who weren’t happy. Remember there’s huge food chains out there like for ex McDonald’s and there’s always going to be someone who hates their food. But McDonald’s will never stop over those people. Same goes to you!! Keep blessing others with all that knowledge you have!!! I started off at a corporate wax chain and I had horrible imposter syndrome, I felt as if this industry was not for me and I had a horrible few weeks where I questioned myself, my skill level, my strength, and I was so down on myself but I had found your channel and seeing where you started, where you are now and your ability to share so many details, tips, and being so welcoming as a seasoned esthie inspired me to leave my corporate job and go solo! Kristen!!! As a virgo which is opposite Pisces I wanted to send a more astrological word of encouragement. mainly because rn our signs are kind of just going through it. ESPECIALLY because we have A SUPER FULL BLUE MOON on the 30th in Pisces. rn it’s all about revealing the truth and now that it’s Virgo season we gotta be doing everything we can to figure out what happens in our daily routines that’s not working anymore and with Pisces encouragement figure out what we’d want to manifest for our lives. but keeping Virgo in mind, we need to de clutter not only our spaces but our mental to make progress towards our dreams! If your desires are changing allow space for a new life journey but keep reminding yourself to take it a step at a time and perfection is not the goal, progress is. even if you can’t see the long journey ahead, just stay focused on your next steps. I so appreciate you showing us this side of this chapter for you. and i hope you know you are so loved and appreciated and i’m so fucking glad you showed up. I am enamored with your spunk, energy, devotion, and caring personality. Kristen, You are not alone, i feel like I've been going through the same. Business going and growing. While family issues. Doing what we do its sometimes hard to just go in motivated and good energy. I feel like i have so much on my plate. I have two kids I'm not a single mom but im an entrepreneur and still working a regular job just because im still scared to just work for myself it's hard to let of security. I look up to you so much i never was interested in doing facials until i did them at school and found your channel. I have completely fallen in love with what i do. As much as i love my life that I'm creating it's so hard to juggle everything and as much happiness i have the same amount of tears because like you said it comes with a lot of sacrifices. Just a few minutes into the video i started crying because everything you were saying just hit home. Like always you remind me that everything will be ok and im not alone. My man doesn't understand how much i do in a day get the kids ready take them to school go to work pick them up from school back to work to going home making dinner then getting them to bed. It's so hard to do everything. As a woman we don't get props for what we do. We are so strong. Kristen you are so strong! I'm sure this wasn't an easy thing to do. I'm proud of you. This just goes to really show how much of a good soul you are. Keep pushing through this is not it for you. This is just the journey to your destination. Your son is gonna be so proud of you and will have these videos to look back on to see how hard you worked for him. I'm saying a prayer for you tonight! I hope things get better mentally for you. Boy did I need to hear this!❤😭 I'm at 475ish out of 600 hours and I had just told my mom this evening that I don't care if I even get a job in esthetics once I graduate... I'm currently debating taking my second leave for medical reasons. July started with a lupus flair, then the flu, that turned into pneumonia, and now I'm sick AGAIN after being back at school for two weeks. You helped me find the strength in myself to finally go to esthetician school, and here you are encouraging me to finish!

Thank you so much for being 100 and keeping it 100❤. I am also an esthetician and left the spot I was renting three and a half weeks ago to open my own business. There seems to be a hiccup at every turn and most days I feel absolutely defeated. I can't express how much I needed to hear everything you said this morning. I feel like I'm losing clients because this move is taking longer than expected. Basically living day-by-day and that's Breaking Me Down. I know there has got to be a reason for all of this... just as you said. I can put on a really good fake smile and people assume everything's great when in reality oh, it is the opposite. I'm struggling more than I ever have in life and I'm going to be 44 in October.😢 life has a funny way of throwing curve balls to see how we respond. I'm working on my responses to situations. I get very agitated and aggravated easily. This change has brought out a lot of aggravation but also a lot of excitement. Also, the shop where I was Booth renting has been speaking horribly about me. I put a two weeks notice in and the owner said that my two week notice was not accepted and that I was fired. I said you can't fire someone that doesn't work for you. Then she changed her story to that I was never on time for rent which I have all my receipts. The girl is intimidated by me and that's fine and dandy but she is slandering my name like crazy and that's where I start getting stuck in my head. I will stop rambling. Again, I can't express how much this video has helped me this morning. God bless you and continue please!😊

IM THE ONE THIS VIDEO WAS FOR. ❤ I started watching you when you were choosing the color on your walls. I was currently opening up my own solo esthetician suite during pandemic with a 9 month old. I relate to you in more ways than one. I relate on the fact that you feel tired managing multiple hats. I hear you. My daughter started preschool so I could work in the mornings those days and I work only afternoons. I’ve lost cilent’s that started acting like they could boss me around trying to get appointments on their schedules. I’ve stood up for myself. I’ve enforced policies. I’m no longer booking through texts or dms to “friend” clients. I’m going through a weeding season. Yes I’m struggling with bills as well but I know this season too shall pass. I’ll be praying for you. I know Jesus is sending you these hardships so you’ll get closer to Him. ❤

I needed to hear this for sure!! You have been a source of knowledge, encouragement, laughs, and growth for me for the last idk…3 years?!?! It has been so lovely to watch you blow up but also I do know you are human have gone through and GO through more than we’ll ever know. I had to close my small studio because it just wasn’t the time which was rough, but then I got a job with a better company than the one I was working for previously, but am still not quite where I need to be (that’s life sometimes) anywho this past Thursday I injured my thumb, I thought it was just a bruise but I’ve either partially or fully torn my UCL and need to be semi splinted for 4 weeks. I sometimes wonder if I should keep doing this, with so many things happening but I think these things while yes SUCKS allows me to be more empathetic and compassionate and genuinely connect with people. I tell you all this because of the compassion and genuine love you have for the industry, for us, and you show and have for your family. You keep fighting and keep going which makes me think I can too ❤❤❤❤

Just graduated last Friday 🤩🦋🤸🏼‍♂️… found you when I signed up for school last March.. and have continued watching your videos! I never missed a day of school , was early every morning.. graduated early! I didn’t & WOULDN’T allow anything to stop me, I sacrificed a lot & my family sacrificed too ❤️‍🩹… but I’m home now, ready to start this new BEAUTIFUL Life journey with my family.. …. 31? Heck I’m 50! ❤️‍🔥🦋🌿🥰💃🏼💆🏼‍♀️🧖🏼‍♀️ 4 kids, 25, 17, 16 , 10… You are amazing .. life will always throw us a test or many.. 💥 don’t allow it to hinder you 🤩😘! I literally had something happen weekly throughout school happening.. bullying 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️😏… friend’s granddaughter murdered, daughter missing me terribly each day, husband having a very tough job (detective) Turned down every wedding, vacation etc, Then last week of school fatal accident happened in front of me.. I’m like Godddd what are you trying to tell me… or are you pushing me NOT to give up? Showing me ‘life happens… but don’t let anyone/anything stop you like you have in the past!’ I held on.. I DID IT! 🙏🏻🫶🏻💕🦋 to you! Still hoping you’ll make it to LA or the valley here in SoCal! Maybe run into you at the next Vegas show next summer ☀️ 🤗!!

Hey Esti! I graduated in December from Esthetics School and am a Licensed Esthetician with my own shop. Had a ribbon cutting yesterday! I am learning all sorts of ways to market myself in my town and am wanting to start a RU-vid channel like yourself to show my journey talk about my current struggles and how to find happiness along the way. I don't know you. I discovered your channel through your video where you explain what personal attributes you need to become an esthetician. Thanks to your video I have understood that this profession is not for me, so, thank you for that. I'm not a people person and that makes me a little sad, but that's life. What I can tell you is, I see you at 31 years old, you are so young and you have already been able to build a profession, a life, a business. You have worked hard and what you have you have earned. I would have liked so much to be like you. You are one of those role model people, that many people could see with envy, because they are incapable of reaching that. So think about that. Not everyone is going to have good words for you, especially from the easy anonymity of the internet, where we can all write what we want without consequences. So many could write negative words to you out of envy or other reasons. The truth is that you are a fighter, you are a strong and admirable woman. Always remember that. I wish you very good luck in your life.
