I respect Scru for how raw he was with his emotions and his experiences. I'd been convinced of my faith so while I don't agree with his outlook on God, I can't blame him at all and 100% empathize with what he seems to have experienced. Seems like all his life he'd been given difference answers to his questions than I was, and cause of that, what helped to reinforce my faith only seemed to tear down his. If I ever met Scru, it'd be cool if we could have a heart to heart on this, but regardless, I hope he's able to find peace of mind in his life.

Asking God this and that, we walked away from that after getting kicked out of eden. God has no power over choice. We are left to our own devices by our own choices. Humanity controls their own fate, not God, and that's where people get it twisted, saying it's his plan. You can't say his plan when you're not following the leader to the T, which most people aren't regardless. I respect all religion and believe them all along with whatever people choose
The book says it's more than one God, so who is to say what religion happened. I believe all of them to a point. Hell, I could argue they're aliens because most religions say this or that God isn't from this world. Who's to say. I personally feel like the blame on the devil and asking God for help is easier to some people than just realizing a lot of people fucking suck and taking accountability or responsibility for words and actions also suck. So they can blame the devil for shitty stuff and then just thank God for the good stuff, then they don't need to feel responsible for their life path.

I grew up catholic and I believe in god I wear a cross necklace everyday, I look at it like I don’t smoke and rarely drink and some people do and some people don’t I could never judge and hate someone because of what they don’t or do believe in!

God is all knowing, but he is not all powerful, that’s why he gave us free will. The devil aka Lucifer, was the strongest Arch Angel that fell and became the devil when he tried to challenge God. There’s two sides to the coin, God being all the good and positive in the world, and the devil that brings death, lust, depression, temptation, and so on. So Joyner is actually spot on here. We talk to God because he listens, the devil couldn’t care less. If God could beat the devil, we would live in a perfect world. But Eve ate the apple and here we are🤷🏽
I'm assuming the reason that he included the Will slap was because of how much of an impact he had in his life. Seeing your role model act in a way like that could affect your perspective and the respect you have for them. It may not be a groundbreaking event that upset millions, but I don't see why else he would include it in the song.

I’m not a religious person myself ..but I had fam that was and in my home in my early childhood…I’m like you with that subject but one day I went up to the stand and pastor and I felt something I never felt before …it’s faith something to believe in all positive energy going through you that’s what I believe is morally correct in your life but these days a lot of church people pass more judgment than forgiveness not all but as long as I believe I’m good do good things and project positive energy that’s what matters
