New feature in #realitycapture called REAL-TIME ASSISTANCE.
Thanks to this amazing feature you can see in real time directly on your phone/tablet the positions of your pictures, but as well real-time alignment and parallel to this are all those processes running on your PC.

Do you know if there is a way to use the Real Time Assistant with a "real" camera?

And? Do you think it helps with alignment? or does it make scanning slower?

The biggest advantage is that you see your already shooted images through AR placed in the space and you see live, how the mesh quality is getting better while adding some images. So like this, you cant miss by mistake any spot while shooting. That means the advantage is not on speed but on not making mistakes on site
