Wow. Seems like those hook sets would jerk the lips clear off of the crappie we have around here. Their mouths are really soft. I think you'd catch more if you backed off on your hook sets a bit.
Just found this video and it's just the kind of vids I was looking for. Someone actually teaching instead of showing. Do you throw your anchor to keep you in place at all? I feel Like every time I find a spot the wind and current pull me away and I spend forever trying to get back to the buoy.
