I was looking for a new bike packing tent and had not come across this particular one, I was looking at the Big Agnes bike tent and the Nemo. This one I really like all the features! Great and very informative video. Thanks! Subscribed.😁

Just did a test set up. God its a nice tent. Though i found it very difficult to get into the bags, especially the pole bag was very difficult to buckle. When i take it i. A bikepacking trip ill do some fiddling

Yes it is! I gave up on repacking their way. I use their 2 bags and then put the poles and ground cover in a separate bag. Just too much dang work.
@thecorporategypsy

Great. It will be interesting to see whether or not the ground cloth also covers the vestibule area. That way you have a dry spot to take off boots and then slide back into tent. Excellent film
@MotoPhotoAdventures
@MotoPhotoAdventures Год назад
I believe they offer two different options. The regular ground cloth just covers the tent footprint for $59. The "Big Foot" ground cloth covers the tent and vestibule for $69. Contact Ben at motocampnerd dot come and he will hook you up!

Better than the carabiner to hold the tent net open, is a magnet on each side to connect. Maybe you have to stitch it a bit. But it is the better solution. Nice video and greetings from Germany

Great video! I love how compact that tent packs down, because I like to go camping by hiking deep into the bush, or using my bicycle or electric dirt bike. This is perfect for that. The main question I have with any of these type of tents, is how hard is it to pack back into the bags? Many of these camping tents are packed so tightly, that once you get them out, it takes 10 times as long to put them back and you often rip or damage the bag/tent doing it.
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures
@Jason_MotoPhotoAdventures Год назад
Funny you should say that. It was quite the task... but that was because I think I put them back wrong. After editing the video, I noticed that I put the poles/light in with the mesh. It came out of the fly side. So it prob wouldn't have been quite the struggle. :)
@MotoPhotoAdventures
@MotoPhotoAdventures Год назад
Yup! Jason tried to put it back in the bags backwards. Once I got him sorted out, it wasn't too hard at all. And honestly, I wouldn't strap the two bags together. I'd just keep them as two separate super compact bags...more options on where to stow them that way.

We had some decent winds on the cliffs in Nova Scotia... check out that series! All went perfectly. Just make sure you stake it down properly as with all tents in the wind.

Define "high winds"? We had some pretty windy nights on the coast of Nova Scotia with the winds coming off the ocean. But it's not like the high winds at Mt. Everest Base Camp!!!

We got ours from Moto Camp Nerd. They are a fantastic Mom & Pop business that specializes in motorcycle-specific camping gear. Ben and Mary really know their stuff and will help you find the gear that works best for you! The Telos TR2 is a top-of-the-line tent. So it's not cheap. But buy right the first time, you only have to buy once. Right? Price can vary depending on sales throughout the year. And of course Ben and Mary can price-match anybody. So we recommend "buying local" with them, instead of some big chain store. Here's a link to where we got it: motocampnerd.com/products/sea-to-summit-telos-bikepacking-tr2-two-person-freestanding-tent. Enjoy!

@@Bikepacking I think some RU-vidrs have sensationalized the rain thing. But we'll give you our honest feedback after this trip. If you haven't seen it yet, watch the Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route series on the channel. We camped the whole way. But that was with Jason's previous tent. This next trip is the North East Backcountry Discover Route...a very similar trail. So we'll definitely put his new tent to some serious off-road testing!
