real time study with me ✏️📚 paper notes, typing sounds, digital iPad notes w/ piano music

I saw these study tips on a study playlist and wanted to share w/ you guys just in case anyone needs it!: Here's my study tips for everyone who's been struggling with getting organized with school stuff ! -First of all, as you are reading this comment, take a deep breath, you're probably going to be focusing for a while on your stuff, so take some time to get out of your head all the unnecessary thoughts, or write them down on your note app or in a journal. - Make a to-do-list, really, it was a life changer for me ! I used to grab the first textbook that I saw and revise it and my studying schedule was kinda messy, but organizing in what order I should do my assignment/ revisions, and just the fact of writing down everything I had to do just lightened my head. When I was in high school, I would always do first the homework that was not too hard and was due to the next day, and was essentially math/ physics/chemistry little exercises or simple exercices in various subjects, it would generally take me 2 hours if I was really focused. Then I was revising everything that needed to be learned by heart like biology, history, german vocabulary, stuff like that for upcoming tests. I was doing a LOT of flashcards to help me memorizing stuff, and it took time so I always started revising for tests like 3 or 4 days before, so even if I was procrastinating, I still had some time before the test ( thought I never learned my German vocabulary lmao I always learnt it on my way to school or even in front of the class I suck at this language). I would revise/ do pretty tumblrish flashcards/ do quizlet flashcards when running out of time until dinner. Then after dinner I would do my essays (usually due to the next week but I'm s l o w at writing). We had essays and text analysis all the time in French/philosophy/history-geography/English classes so it took a goddamn while to write. - Since everybody's probably having online classes, I really suggest you to put your phone Awaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy from you, like in another room or the kitchen, because God knows how tempting it is to check your social medias while the prof is speaking. Try your best to stay focused and maybe writing notes during the lecture ! (Disclaimer: I know it's hard for a lot of people to focus, especially for my ADHD friends, so know that I'm really proud of you btw, just the fact that you're here, on a study playlist and reading this comment is already a big achievement and I know you're doing your best! ) -If making fancy and colorful notes motivates you, then go ahead ! I didn't have a lot of aesthetic furnitures, just pastel highlighters and gel pen, but making cute notes that were pleasant to look at honestly pushed me a lot to revise my stuff (until now in college). REMEMBER YOU DON'T NEED PRICEY STUFF TO MAKE PRETTY NOTES, just the bare minimum is enough as long as you enjoy making them ! - Revising is good, but PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT. Oh God, when I entered HS I thought I was a smart ass because I had a good memory, but math kicked my butt really hard. It wasn't about learning the formulas by heart anymore, so I started doing my homework and exercices more seriously, be attentive when the professor was correcting them in class, and more importantly, putting my pride aside and asking FOR HELP/ QUESTIONS whenever I didn't get something. - Thus leads to this advice : DO NOT BE SCARED/ASHAMED TO ASK FOR HELP. Help from your friends who are good in a subject and could explain what's foggy for you, ask your professor (they really like it, as it shows that you're actually interested in their class), ask people on school related forums on the Internet, idk, there's always someone who will be there to land you a hand. I'm here as well (even thought I can't explain you stuff as I'm not in high school anymore and I probably don't have the same education system as you, but I can cheer you up ! ). Like I said, in middle school- beginning of HS I was on top of my class, but then stuff started to get difficult and I started sinking a bit, so I stored my pride and every time I didn't get something I would ask my professors at the end of the class. -After you're done with your stuff, ALWAYS *reward yourself*. I was doing it with an anime episode/ manga chapter or if I wasn't too tired with a movie or a series once I was done. I would make myself some tea or hot chocolate when I wasn't too lazy then go to sleep. Rn with college it's catching up on Chan's Room or any other member Vlive that make me relaxed before sleeping.Also, as I was working hard on week days, I had a lot of free time on weekends so I would just stop being pRoduCtive and just laze at home or hang out with friends. - Finally, be proud of yourself no matter what. As Bang Chan said, the sole fact that you're worried about your stuff just shows that you care, and if you care, you can put your heart into it. Even if you didn't do everything you had on your to-do-list, or you checked on your phone too many times, don't stress over it, you got it and I'm sure you're going to do well. Now get out of the comment section and go back to work ! Come back once you're done and proud of yourself ! Like mate, stop procrastinating !
