fun fact: dimash outdoing vitas on his own song caused him to threaten to sue if he sang it again lol i always find that funny. ogni pietra or sinful passion next please!
Haha this is from 2017 and Dimash can sing much lower and also higher (D8). This was a piece of cake for him. And this is episode 2 so that means he was nervous. He became each year a better singer.
Dimash a 3 star or 4 star performance? 😂🤣😂 there is no such thing. He's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ all the way. You have barely scratched the surface. Dimash can do anything he wants with his voice.... and he just keeps improving. If you want power, definitely Ogni Pietra. Dimash48 YT channel has a great fancam.
Whistle register... hmmm. Do you wanna hear REALLY INSANE whistle register from Dimash? Please check "Unforgettable Day" performed in Gakku. He made note off piano scale. And so clearly, that even Mariah Carey can't compete.
@@dismembermeelmo But the staccato comes 10 seconds after he paused... and he just listened through it with a straight face and paused again 5 seconds after.
Because he isn't a real voice teacher, he's an idiot with a know it all, self-righteous, egotistical, look at me I'm better than the best singer in the world attitude! He's the worse reactor in the history of RU-vid!! I started a petition to have him banned!! Please like if you want to sign said petition!
@@PrinceLeigh Wow, your reaction seems a bit harsh. I don't know if he's a real voice teacher or not, but I didn't see anything wrong with his overall reaction. You have a right to your own opinion certainly, but I don't understand why you feel he should be banned. Maybe If you don't like him, simply don't watch him again.
I think until Dimash came along, audiences weren't into the technical aspects of singing, but because he is so phenomenal we need to find out how he does it so we scour the Internet looking for answers. The end result is that we're not only getting an education in singing technique, but we're craving it. We can also share what we've learned with others to the point where we sound like vocal coaches ourselves, then polish and sharpen those skills to get as close to perfection as possible. What do we do after that? We can't stop sharing! Dimash's music has entered our blood and become a very big part of us, and taken over our lives!
Matt, if you want to hear Dimash go full operatic, then listen to "Passione" or "Ogni Pietra". And beyond his superhuman singing abilities and musical talent on a bunch of instruments (all of which goes along with incredible work ethic and hard work on his part), Dimash is above all an amazing human being. Even though is definitely a world-wide acknowledged megastar now, he remains humble and down to earth, and true to his (self-proclaimed in a number of interviews) mission to spread love, peace and unity everywhere he goes. And he really goes everywhere nowadays.
This song was written so that it was easier to sing for the man who originally sang this. Dimash doesn't need a glissando to hit anything under the sun, hahaha
Dimash's fans are passionate about him and highly protective, but I'm sorry if that passion came across as hateful. We Dears (name for Dimash fans) should always try to be respectful like Dimash himself is. Thank you for your Dimash reactions and hope you will continue. Love is Like a Dream, Love of Tired Swans, and Ogni Pietra would be good choices for future reactions.
R u just a wee bit 🤨 JEALOUS 🤔 Vitas did this song AND the Final Score is:- Vitas 0 DIMASH 1,000,000,000 You need to react to DIMASH at Bastau singing live, Daybreak or second on my list would be, Love is like a DREAM!
Ogni pietra please? Or, if you would like to hear his highest, Gakku Unforgettable Day. In the new duet if Drunken Concubine he hits both lowest vocal fry, and a great whistle- but not even his highest...
If you follow him a lot, you'll find that E6 is where he places the top of a lot of his songs. That's comfortable for him. It's not whistle. Head voice. Crazy.
Hey there! 😊 Opera 2 and Ogni Pietra have kind of the same range, Opera 2 has 3 octaves 3 semitones, Ogni Pietra has 3 octaves and 4 semitones. (But the difference is that in Opera 2 he sings most in mix and in his mid range, in Ogni Pietra he sings much more in chest and head voice, and, thus, "spends more time" singing rather low and rather high. That's a very big range of notes for a song, but Dimash has songs with an even much bigger range 😊 for example Kinalama has 5 octaves and his performance of Diva Dance at his Shenzhen concert has more than 5. For example Love of Tired Swans, Love is Like a Dream, Our Love and Unforgettable Day (Gakku) have more than 4 😊Diva Dance at his Bastau concert has exactly 4, and Sinful Passion and My Homeland have almost 4
@@Q-bazZ That's not true. The lowesr note in Ogni Pietra is C3 and the highest one is E6. Dimash does have 5 octave songs (e.g. Kinalama), but Ogni Pietra is not one of them
Opera 2 was originally sung by Vitas (Vitaly Vladasovich Grachev) in 2000. He was born in Latvia but raised in Southern Ukraine. I heard that Vitas threatened Dimash with a lawsuit if he sang Opera 2 again. The reason? Vitas could only do the first TWO high notes. Also, I don’t care for Vitas’ version because his high notes grate on my ears.
Thank you for this reaction! Dimash is phenomenal! This was 3 years ago., he has continued to train and astound us with every new song. He uses many different techniques, blends different musical genres and sings in 12 different languages. Check out more such as Sinful Passion, Love is Like a Dream, and Screaming on his YT channel ru-vid.com/show-UCGBxbj_RMKB22rhJnK9qRegvideos
In a reaction from a female opera singer, she said"OMG, how can he go that! Its even higher than the great majority of us female singer can go, and he is still in his head voice! As a professional opera singer I can tell you there is no whistle there, just head voice......
Thanks for your reactions!......Amazing Dimash.......loved!.......Dimash is the best voice in the world!......greetings from a Mexican Dear!......❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🇲🇽🇰🇿🇲🇽🇰🇿🇲🇽
Hmm I rather don't think that aaaaabsolutely everything of your technical input was fully correct, e.g. voice type and vocal register analysis, (and it differs from what most other vocal coaches say (for example Tara Simon, Ken Tamplin, Sam Johnson and Dr. Reynolds)), but it was still great to watch. Very entertaining too. I originally discovered your channel because of a Jeff Buckley reaction, but I also watched your 2 Dimash reactions. Very interesting
@@funkyfranx Yes he's a tenor he's just a dramatic tenor (meaning he can also hit the bass and baritone registers as well. Dimash is so hard to put into any category though he's so versatile lol. It's so impressive that he can sing and with complete control and depth in the bass, baritone, tenor, counter tenor, and soprano ranges it's so amazing!! Love and blessings Dear and happy new year's ❤❤❤
@@funkyfranx Yes, Dimash is a tenor, but he's not a "high" tenor. He's probably a dramatic tenor with a very good higher extension. The range, weight and color of his chest voice are really not a "high" tenor's. And his spreaking voice is even lower than the male average. And that' also what voice teachers say
React to Sinful Passion & the first song Igor Krutoy composed for him since joining him for that purpose, Ogni Pietra AKA Olympico. Best version to see his mouth is the Arnau fancam version. It starts moving around but settles then stays
No whistle register here. Dimash very regularly goes up to Eb6 to E6 in many of his songs, and it is the top end of his normal singing voice. He definitely does to whistle, with his highest recorded note being a D8 in the Gakku recording of his Unforgettable Day. In a recent concert he has flipped into whistle register for an F6 in a phrase, and it was very clear he had done it, as well as flipping back down to the Eb6, etc.
I hope you continue to learn and watch. Lol wait til you hear him now. Wait until you hear him sing classically. Follow the singer shows. Stay with him, and we "Dears" will stay with you. Don't wait too long to react to him again...please?
Yes! He's flawless.😍 BTW, I found your channel last year when I was looking for content about whistle register. And seeing you reacting and analysing Dimash's performance makes me love your channel even more. So please, don't ever stop what you're doing.I just love your comments and energy while watching him sing. I'm going to share your video to my groups as well. P.S. I thought he was an alien the first time I watched this performance. 😁
whistle register is his specialty 😂❤️ he has 6 octaves and fans are saying he’s starting to sing notes from the 7th octave! it frightens me how he’s becoming better and batter every day
BRAZIL - Ramsey, slightly improved, but still stopping the video ... great reaction, analysis. I liked this version. That gentleman to whom you said: I love that guy, is a juror ... the audience was the juror, varied ages, but people who understand music. At the end of the video, there is a gentleman who celebrates when Dimash finishes, is Dimash's father ... continue, there are more than Dimash in this contest. You haven't seen his serious notes yet, they are amazing. I love when he duets with himself.
Thank you. However, Dimash is not a "light" but a dramatic tenor. When you said he was singing in chest voice, he was actually singing in a breathy mix. And singing on an open vowel is actually not an "argument" for whistle register, you usually also sing in your M2 in the 6th octave with open vowels, and he's actually singing in head voice here. Neither the half step higher nor that there is no high mix in this song was his decision, this is a Vitas cover he had to sing for the talent show, Dimash just increased the range (Vitas only goes once half a step higher, his highest note in the sing is C#6) and difficulty (e.g. by adding staccato). The reason why there is no high mix in it is rather that Vitas (the original singer and singwriter) always sings all notes above Bb4 in falsetto (which Dimash did not do, that's a connected sound). There's no need for high belts in all performances, but Dimash goes up in belt til C6.
In the pop music world, Dimash has a powerful tenor voice (and nice baritone notes as well). At Igor's Birthday Concert in NYC, Dimash was easily the biggest voice among the performers. This is because he has classical training and is strong enough to sing on the opera stage and project his voice over an orchestra without a microphone. From the standpoint of how opera voices are classified he is very similar to one of his inspirations, Pavarotti, who was a leggero tenor and performed what are considered to be lighter opera roles.
@@ubervocal8777 I'm pretty sure his voice is darker than Pavarotti's. I just compared Pavarotti's O Sole Mio with Dimash's and D is darker than P. He's is closer to Domingo than Pavarotti. Basically Dimash can go lighter or darker depending on the song and he's really hard to categorize.
@@kitty4536 Dimash is uniquely advanced in his understanding of vocal technique and, when using a microphone, can make his voice do practically anything, including being darker. That technique would not be sufficient for him to safely sing without a mic those opera roles that demand the heavier voice of a spinto (Franco Corelli) or dramatic tenor (Mario del Monaco).
There is no such thing as 3 and 4 stars with Dimash 😂 Perhaps only very VERY old videos or when he was sick (but tbh I still think those are 4-5 stars because he’s just THAT good)
Thank you! This was such an amazing performance from Dimash, that the original artist he'd improved upon threatened to sue if he repeated the feat! But about your analysis - I don't wish to be unkind, but it seemed to be pretty weak in places, and just plain wrong in others...? I could go into more depth, and argue my points if you wish, but for a vocal coach I really shouldn't need to! So my advice would be, to concentrate on refreshing your knowledge a little, before going into your next reaction? Good luck, though - and I wish you all the best! x
Imagine...an unknown 22 year old Kazakh singing in Russian in a professional Chinese competition.....his second song. I was blown away! His dramatic style and versatility are so refreshing. We dare to critique.......
Hi! Continue reacting to Dimash please! I recomend Ogni Pietra, but there's a lot as "Love is like a dream", "Adagio", "Hello", "Passione", and so on...
He can hit a F6 in a head voice But it's too thin. If u watch a lot of his videos . Then u will see he only used whistle one time in F6 .and E7-D8. I can hit c#6 in head. But he can do a lot with it. His full range is A1-B5-F6-D8
I really enjoyed your reaction to Damash. You obviously know your stuff very well, and listening to you helped me appreciate this song even more. Kudos to you sir!
You are just at the start of your journey with Dimash I saw him live in London in 2018 and believe me you haven’t seen anything yet. This was a competition in China and the audience are the judges ie man with glasses. I recommend you watch all the competition first then go on to his newer stuff and then you will be able to see the improvement he has made ,his English for one is vastly improved. He sang girl and boy parts when he was younger so it has improved his range and he swam under water holding his breath so he could hold notes longer, who does that . Happy watching
Thank you for another interesting Dimashreaction! 🙏🙏 New subscriber hoping for more from The One and Only ✨DIMASH✨ ! Love and Peace from Dimash-fan in Sweden 💖🤗
Please STOP PAUSING HALF SENTENCE. We can hear your wisdom right after he finishes the note. Or at least rewind it after you talk and listen to it completely pleaseee.
@@ramseyvoicestudio Aww I'm so sorry if I came off as a jerk (I might have), I was just frustrated when I typed this, kinda stoopid of me, and I apologize. You are clearly a really nice person. Keep the good work, I'll stay.
That was fun while you were reviewing Dimash, it doesnt matter if you could tell or not if it was a whistle or not, just enjoy his performances in the future 🥰🥰🥰🥰🧓🏼🇵🇭
Oh my god, how much I want to watch your reaction video to Dimash next time! I can’t wait! I think other people have recommended many of his songs, they are all required courses! Subscribed!
I've only seen your sos reaction..... I am so freaking excited to watch you discover how fantastic he REALLY is...hehehhe.. I'm predicting it will take 4 songs for you to become a dear. So far you're appreciative... yet still kinda clueless. It's cute. I REALLY love watching voice coaches reactions because they really realize the work he has done. No worries about him straining anything... he is in fact superhuman.
Dears are the worst critic's and they can run reactors off by their negative comments so hope you continue your journey reacting to Dimash. Do your reactions your way and those who don't like it can go listen to other reactors who just want subscribers or likes and don't really appreciate Dimash.
Hi Ramsey . Love your vlogs . Your comments are always detailed, easy to understand . I think you have a really beautiful signing voice . Mark (Toronto)
Your previous video wasn’t horrible and you aren’t horrible either. The only real issue with the previous video was that you were pausing to comment/critique like every 30 seconds it seemed. Just don’t do that lol. Let his(Dimash) performances flow more you know. You seemed like you were too eager to critique the performance if that makes sense, or at least that’s what it looked like to me. Most other reaction videos I’ve seen of vocal coaches reacting to Dimash(for which there are many) let it ride for a bit before they decide to pause to comment, critique or explain what Dimash is doing vocally. All of that you do quite well already. I hope this helps you in any sort of way.
This song was composed to be sung by a specific Singer to show off about his unique voice nearly 20 years ago. I think the composer never thought someone would outperform the designated singer (Vitas).
Enjoyed your review. A small technical issue with your video capture software settings. Left is Right and Right is Left. As one plays notes moving hand from left to right the notes should get Higher (in pitch). Well on all the keyboards I've seen. Not so in your video, the image is reversed. There is probably a setting in your capture software you can change that will correct this. Just thought you'd want to know. You should review Adagio next!
Ogni Pietra New York is the best performance I have seen from Dimash....awesome!!!!!....then again Dimash keeps raising the bar for what I consider his best....So glad I discovered him which happened when I saw a video "worlds best singer" in the related topics while searching Freddie Mercury...who I consider as the best front man of all time....I have a feeling Dimash will be mentioned in the same breath 15-20 years from now.
