Vocal coach and singing teacher reacts to Katrina Velarde singing "Go the Distance" on the wish bus. Master Your Voice Singing Course: ramseyvoice.com/special-offer Find Your Range in 6 Seconds (Free App): rangefinder.ramseyvoice.com/
She is known in the Philippines for her big belts, complicated riffs and runs and her singing voice impersonation skills. Ypu should check her out more. She is a very lovely lady, humble and funny. Check out her Somewhere over the rainbow and her one take cover sessions. Also, most young Filipina belters have that whitney/mariah/celine vibes due to Regine Velasquez. Most young belters takes from Regine who clearly have influences from whitney/mariah/celine.
They do channel 90’s Divas like Whitney, Celine and Mariah especially. However their biggest influence specifically Katrina and Morissette is “Regine Velasquez” the most influential filipino singer that inspired multiple generations singers in the Philippines 🇵🇭 And this Katrina sang is even the arrangement of Regine’s version of Go The Distance
Ramsey Voice Studio ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k-KeHYRXd1M.html this is a great starter to react on her! This video shows her tone, style and its an original song of her :)
Would you believe that so many filipino singers doesnt have formal training in music? We develop our singing skills by joining singing contests and videoke. Try four amazing singers singing one sweet day by katrina and budakhel. Love the reaction sir.
Those were the songs that their parents had been listening to while these children were growing up Parents also leave their children to. Sing as early as 5 years old to sing in the karaoke with those songs
The Philippines has a very clear standard of singing if you expect to perform to the crowd. It’s really difficult to impress Filipinos with singing because there’s such an abundance of talent in the field. Many of the suggested artists you’re about to see have really separated themselves from the crowd. In addition, singing while sitting down just gives it a very relaxing atmosphere and presentation, very common in the Philippines. I don’t know how they do it but they’re just expected to have good diaphragm control so sitting isn’t an issue.
Wow !! Finally you react to my favorite female Filipina vocalist ... And I love the way you react and comment to a singer. Keep it up!!! More to go from the Philippines!! I click all ✌️
She is known for her runs n riffs, Agility to d highest, whistles w/runs, breath control, high notes sustainability (can hold her breath fo 31secs hitting multiple notes wid vocal Acrobatics that to in 5th octave),can impersonate 29 diff voices n so on Asia's vocal supreme Asia's steel voice Diva on a rise Suklay diva Asia's breathless diva....she indeed is vocal beast.....tysm fo reacting...loved uah reaction...plzzz react to Katrina velarde's one sweet day, I'm your angel n burn(impersonations)......😊
Yeah. REGINE VELASQUEZ IS THE QUEEN AND THEIR BASIS OF STANDARDS IN TERMS OF SINGING ABILITY. SHE RAISED THE BAR IN TERMS OF SINGING THAT'S WHY MOST OF THE SINGERS OF TODAY'S GENERATION TRAINED TO BE LIKED HER. THAT'S WHY KATRINA IDOLIZES REGINE.
@@ramseyvoicestudio that's why when we see someone is singing we always compare her to Regine's vocal prowess, the resonance and the endurance of the voice. If she can deliver, express and is it powerful and can sustain many songs and does not experience hoarsenss of voice durinh concerts. During the vocal prime of Regine, even if she cant talk still she can able to sing a song perfectly. A skill that can not be seen to Morisette, Katrina and others. She is also good in medley from high to low, soft to diffult keys she can still hit it. Many right now claim that they are better than her but if you will listen to her now and even if she's 50, still a voice to beat.
Katrina is a vocal beast. she is self taught and has become so good through her one take covers where she tries different styles and vocal arrangements. The reason older artist are favored is because Phillipines do not like auto tune. Most artist now a days use auto tune so you really don't know what they really sound like. More Katrina and for riffs and runs try Daryl Ong's Weak. Thank you.
Most filipinos are still indulged to classic music and those type of songs are the ones being used as a piece when Filipinos are joining singing contest. Filipinos prefer high belty songs
In the Philippines once a ballad music becomes a hit, it's going to stay that way forever. You can hear it in the radio forever, it becomes timeless and never get out of style. And the harder the song is, the more you'll hear it in karaoke centers.
@@ramseyvoicestudio Precisely, the reason despite music or vocal coaches are unheard of by most Filipinos, you'll hear plenty of good singers. They all started at a young age, imitating original artist to a tee.
She really is amazing try to react to her wherever you call, somewhere over the rainbow, dangareously in love, never ever say goodbye and all her one take cover session I surrender, I wanna know what love is, I belive, love will lead you back and her impersonation 3 burn you'll be blown away by this performace
Actually, its Regine Velasquez that set that singing style here in the Philippines. A lot of new gen singers look up to her and influenced their style since she's a legend here and labeled her as the Asia's Songbird. You should check her out! Love your reaction.♥️
Katrinatics will be lighting up your comment section with requests --thanks for checking out our lovely talented suklay diva---no I am not pinoy but I love them especially Katrina
Katrina is an amazing talent! She has the ability to do anything! Please check out her cover of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," she is absolutely magnificent!
Have you ever listened to her cover of "I'll never love again?" It's sooooo good. I think it's a mashup with another song and she sings it as a duet with another girl who's also insanely talented!! 10/10 would reccomend
A lot of filipino loves to sing on a karaoke, singing those legendary divas hits like mariah carey, whitney etc. This has became a pastime for filipino, to sing on a karaoke machine. We really love to sing. 💕
Well one reason is Filipinos up untill now still really appreciate 80s-90s music. Even on karaoke machines those songs are mostly what u get. We just love songs from that era because music was so good and pure, that's why we grow up listening to those songs and get influenced as we mature.
thank you for reacting to Katrina! hope to see more of her in your channel. there is so much TECHNICAL things to react to in her performances. pls check out her ONE TAKE COVERS.
I usually fast forward the video whenever a reactor starts to elaborate but when I started watching you, I always finish the video reaction until the end. Nice explanation and reacting. Super pure, raw and honest. Hope you react to And I am telling you cover of TNT Boys in World's best. Thanks!
Hi, been watching for quite sometime now and I really like you... you are so pleasant to the eye and I also like your speaking voice... pausing is just fine I appreciate it especially bec your noting reaction.... I'm a Filipina so please continue reacting to Filipino singer....💜
@@ramseyvoicestudio hope you do more Katrina reactions. there's so much to see from her. pls check out her ONE TAKE COVERS. some of my faves are: * MAMA KNOWS BEST * I SURRENDER * BROKEN VOW * BROKENHEARTED GIRL * OH HOLY NIGHT looking forward to seeing your reactions to these in the future. 😊
*Katrina is a Powerhouse singer...what you just heard is nothing compared to what she can really do. She is a vocal beast. You said 8 seconds is what you counted...she can do 32 easy*
Simply because we grew up on most of the songs in the 80s and 90s and most of it also use as a contest piece in every amateur and professional singing contest. :) beside music from 80s and 90s as well as artist are amazingly great :)
Filipinos love ballads maybe bcoz of the Spanish influence. Even a few like me who sing/sang like a drank frog really love music.🤣🤣🤣. I really love your reactions bcoz your face s very trabsparent & natural, like us filipinos the wows!!! And the ohhs...can easily b read thru facial expressions. Lov it! I'm not demeaning anybody but to all vocal coaches who reacted to our filipino simgers, your reactions s the one I value most coz I learn a lot from u. Your xplanation s highly value especially for a person like me who find it foreign bcoz I,m so "bobo"(dull) n my music subject😅😅😅. I love all our filipino singers, as in all of them, but marcelito pomoy s an enigma to me whom u reacted already thanks!. Can u please!!! react to KZ Tandingan's "rolling in the deep" contrast "say something" contrast "royals". She's an enigma to me. I don't know if I'm asking too much of you, anyways I'll wait.😉😉😉. This s my 1st comments and request n social media pls don't fail me. It's n my gut feeling i will learn a lot from u. Hopefully🤣🤣🤣. Lot's of love from Philippines!!!
May i humbly also request a reaction for the songs im your angel and one sweet day both by katrina and budakel (bugoy,daryl,michael)..i learn so much from you..ty so much
You should also watch her cover of Burn. She also impersonates well-known singers like Shakira, Mariah, Cristina A., Jessie etc. You must react to that, you'll love it. 😍
youre asking why is the singing trend like that in the philippines...heres the answer...please do watch our queen of belters The Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez...hear her sing "GO THE DISTANCE/LIGHT OF A MILLION MORNINGS BY REGINE VELASQUEZ.... and "WHAT KIND OF A FOOL I AM Greatest Live Performance"...you will know why...thank you...more power to you and your channel.
I had to watch 5 of your reactions before clicking the subscribe button. Nice reactions and reviews. One more thing is that you added techniques and learnings in so many pauses. hahaha.
I would very much appreciate coach if you can also react to Jona's rendition of "Saving Grace" by Mariah Carey. She did it all in one take. She's good too. You may also see her rendition of Queen of The Night. ❣😍
I think you need to listen to these artists aside from katrina and morisette. Pls react to: Jona -My Saving Grace Sheryn Regis- Come on in out of the rain Eumee Capile- Wrecking Ball
katrina can do it all. she is really the most talented young singer in the phillipines. sadly the filipinos value looks more than talent. she can do everything the other singers can do better than them but they cannot do what she can do. watch her burn impression of ellie and mariah and celine and others just amazing.
@@ramseyvoicestudio i wanted to know why some filipinos say she doesnt look beautiful cos they probably dont favour one that has an asian look. i heard once foreign looking woman are more "liked" in the philippines
Finally❤you're so cute😁i love your reaction and hopefully you will also react to our Asia's Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez singing I dont wanna miss a thing😊 Velasquez is the reason why there is katrina and morisette that has a strong vocals.
Ramsey Voice Studio yay! I can’t wait. You wont regret it. Here’s the performance link. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1NF7Gaag_QE.html
I can somewhat enlighten you on why the specific era/genre is a favorite of theirs. It is partially a cultural thing. Singing and Karaoke is (no joke) like a sport for them in the Philippines. The technology for home/affordable Karaoke machines really blew up in the 90's. Filipino's have had a long love affair with American culture, which carried over from WWII. So when you combine the era, what was popular already in music and what they mimicked it all makes sense. Singing is also a family thing, so kids grew up listening to their parents singing these songs and voila there you have it. It is so ridiculous how many talented singers they have over there and they really understand and feel R&B as well as all other genre's. It is quite an unusual but awesome gift.
Please react to Daryl Ong and Kyla Singing "WEAK" There's a lot of riffs and runs there. i want to see your reaction cause they are so fcking amazing 😁 Great reaction btw👍👍
*Pilipino love 90's because that was the golden Era when the production, Expensive beats, and views are not big deal. Compared to music nowadays.* Ps, I love 90's song too 😊
Because classic music is Gold. And these great singers from Ph really grew up listening and singing songs from their inspiration like Mariah, Whitney and Regine Velasquez. That I think made them a good good singers today. Btw I like this reaction!!
