Great review! Test rode the 2022 model year and also test Road the 2023 model year the Nightster Special. I love the special. Just waiting to see what they will do for 2024 year. I m holding off for now.

I just got a 2024 and its been so hard to find an exhaust that isnt gonna break the bank but also help give it a better sound.
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 2 месяца назад
Yeah they are starting to make some cool ones. Freedom exhaust has a couple ones and they sound good. If cost is more important, try just a slip on.

Good video ride mine the same way, I have a 2022 model just done the 5,000 mile service The only issue I have had was a no start at times but a reprogram from the dealer seems to have corrected the issue.
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 10 месяцев назад
That’s awesome! Knock on wood, I have not had that issue. The bike is a blast to ride! Have you done any mods to yours?

Installed a S&S slip-on and a HD swing arm bag. The bag from HD was a little expensive but seems well put together. @@Birdhog

Thanks so much for the review. There aren't many videos (useful videos) on this bike, so this is very helpful. Makes me wonder how well it's selling. I test rode one and really liked the ergos and the engine. I got stuck in stop and go traffic and noticed a lot of heat coming off the exhaust by my right calf when I put my leg down (shorter rider). Engine heat wasn't a problem, but the exhaust heat on my leg was quite noticeable. Do you notice that? Two things I don't like: One is the vastly different look of the engine on the right side versus the left side. Looks stupid to me. The other thing is the small gas tank. And if you're getting 125 miles per tank in the real world, that unfortunately may be a deal killer for me. That's a terrible design mistake by Harley. Thanks again for the vid!
@Birdhog

I do notice the heat but for me it’s not hot enough to be an issue. The 120 mpg may be just me and how I ride. I run it pretty hard and love to take off fast. I have heard of other people getting better gas mileage but I think it is going to just vary on how hard you like to ride. All in all I love the bike, i don’t think you could go wrong with it.

Hi there , good review. Could you let me know if it has a tachometer and gear indicator?
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 17 дней назад
Yeah it has both. It has one of the better gauges!

I am glad you showed the bike at highway speeds (70mph). I currenty have a Tri-Glide due to my wife's many health issues, she's battle cancer eight times and walks with a walker. She still likes to ride, but I have to help her on the motorcycle. We went to a trike when the cancer in her brain caused seizures. We feel if she had a seizure on our Heritage it might cause an accident injuring us and possibly others. On the Trike we feel I ought to be able to pull over and tend to her needs. Alll this being said, she had brain surgery two years ago to remove some cancer and hasn't had a seizure since. If I could get her back on a two wheeler, I'd like to buy a Nightster, not the "S" and not the Special, just the plain Nightster. I would also like to buy the Long Haul package for it. It would be all the bike I need. I hate it when people call certain bikes a beginner bike or a entry level bike. I think the New Nightster 975 ia a good all around motorcycle. I like smaller bikes because they are much more fun than a larger bike. I think Harley Davidson did a GREAT job with the Nigthster and it will be a great replacement for the old air cooled Sportster.

The bike has been amazing so far. This bike is a great all around bike. Thank you for watching!

@@Birdhog I also think it is just a matter of time before the 1250 liquid cooled engine finds it way to the entore Softail family. I'd like to see the 1250 on the Freewheeler, too. I think HD will hang on to the M8 for the touring bikes and the other trikes just as long as they can.
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 10 месяцев назад
@@genegoodwin8925 I completely agree. I do expect a softail in the 2024 lineup to have it. I am also hoping they bring out the Bronx with a 975 and 1250t option.

nice review , would love if in croatia we had dealers to test bikes .. unluko . but yeah i am devided between Nightster and Scout Bobber Indian.

I have never gotten a chance to ride the scout bobber but the nightster is a blast! I don’t think you can go wrong with either one.

I'm thinking of getting one here in the next bit. I'm not sure on getting the S version or not. Would you consider the S now after using it a bit?
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 8 месяцев назад
I would definitely consider the S only because you can get heated grips and cruise control. You can’t get that on the lower model.
@darklotus6595
@darklotus6595 8 месяцев назад
@Birdhog Thank you for your input and getting back so fast! Much appreciated. The dealship told me it's max 2 g more so I might be doing that. I'll let you know what I do! Thanks again.
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 8 месяцев назад
@@darklotus6595 you will not be disppointed with either one you get but cruise control and the heated grips would have come in handy.

What’s that front guard you have there?
@Birdhog
@Birdhog 11 месяцев назад
It’s from Pazoma racing. It is a crash bar for the sportster s but almost all parts for the sportster s fit the nightster. The 975 revolution max and the 1250 revolution max are the same size, just different on the inside.

im 5'7 and the bike would cook my knees, plus I couldn't get my knees to hug the tank with that stupid air intake hitting my knee. Great bike but didn't work for me.

Yeah I really think there is a lot of things Harley has to work out on the next generation of this bike. But I had a lot of fun on that bike.

I’m 5’9 and I do feel the heat!!! I I’ve gotten burn blisters on my thighs!!! I was not happy at all. I’m thicker on the thighs as well. But I do love my 23’. I got mine in June. I did get the special. A lot of gadgets I’m still learning. But everything you said and reviewed is exactly how I feel. The left mirror comes lose, small pegs, the heat, the brake … love my bike

Google heat shields for it, I am almost positive somebody made something for the heat.
