@@Fonzi0 well it's also something with taxes or disposable they have to follow strict policy from regulators. So they probably don't want people taking it and offloading it themselves. It's all politics brother
So frustrating when there are people in America who can barely afford to get by and then these companies just dump perfectly good, nutritious food. There should be a government benefit paid to them per pallet of donation.
It can't cost too much (comparatively) for the government to set up some branch that handles checking food to see if it's safe to donate or not. Cause it seems like the big issue is "We can't verify if it's "safe" or not and we don't wanna be held liable". Add in another step to check it. Boom. Literally tons of food saved from being thrown out.
i completed my first week as a solo trucker, and idk how im going to make it. chicago, illinois area was just wild to me, im from florida and i never left the state in my life until now. such a frightening week
Get the bread bro Alex Nino I watch your Videos all the time blessings to you and your family bro I'm from madera and my kids want too meet you bro Saludos
Alex that ain’t right. Food should go to a food bank were it can be given to the less fortunate. Even if the Produce spoiled it becomes compost and there’s composting facilities were organic waste is turned into energy and valuable soil amendments. It’s not your fault broskie keep on trucking.
You have a good heart. I felt the same way at dunkin' when we threw out pounds of donuts each night. It has a lot to do with liability if someone gets sick, which happened DD was sued in past. But youre right companies must do a better job at preventing this waste
It’s just sick of companies that rather throw it away then give it out to the needy. I don’t get that and I never will. they just don’t have a heart for people ridiculous
Had a similar situation happen . Here’s where the donation process became tricky The company was having perfectly fine products disposed of to a near by transfer station (idk exact details this was before my time there ) The truck driver made a call and emphasized the point that this load should be donated, management agreed, and said that’s fine we can donate them , just as long as you (the transportation company) donate your time hauling the extra distance and time it will take to follow through with the donation process, needless to say the trucking company agreed to just dispose of the products rather than “donate there EXTRA TIME TAKEN That was just this situation, I’m specifically talking about when it’s loaded and already on a designated route .
Hola alex you inspire me to become a truck driver i always wanted to become one i’m from cali trucking in cali would be my favorite. I love your videos so much ❤❤
There's something wrong in society when good produce gets dumped. Given the millions who's diets would benefit from it. Especially if sold at prices they could easily afford. So. We now have some idea as to why pricing is as expensive as it is.
It’s crazy how wasteful humans are only to increase prices because of food shortages but you throw out good food that could be donated to homeless or needful families
This job looks really easy yet really hard at the same time Because 1. It’s just you and you can chill at times on the playstion in a sick truck but the bad is the driving can be boring right
my dad drove for 20 yrs, he would take some of the food they thru away that was also Expired , He forgot to mention that part also, but ya we would eat some of the expired food cuz we were poor, but now all my dad kids (5) all homeowners with credit scores 800+ in theres mid 20s and mid 30s living the dream!
They can’t donate or give away because of anything happens to the ones receiving it they can sue . Imagine how many cases and headaches that would be . yes it’s the sad truth but it doesn’t cause problems
If/When I'm ever able to get an EV, I'm gettin' that EV. Things can happen with EVs just as things can happen with ICE vehicles. Run out of gas, run out of power. Brakes fail. Steering. Stone chips windshield. I don't need to list everything.
This is why California and gruesome noose'em sucks. Appreciate the vids bud. I know you'd donate that. Breaks my heart your guv doesn't let you do things. Sad State of affairs. Thanks for the uploads, stay safe!
Lmao 😂 buddy you think God is judging people for taking orders orders that srnt a sin lol you sound stupid remember says in the Bible you will be judged how you judged others
i get rotten food but there has to be (where say you or your uncle etc etc ) doesn't get grief if you find a place that would accept things as a donation ... hell so many less fortunate people out there ... SAY SOME OF IT went bad .. .toss that but some of it is still good ... that is good fruits and veggies tossed out for no reason ... that ticks me off (NOTE: not blaming you for that)
Hey Alex have you ever driven an Eaton super 10 transmission? They're found in trucks from the 90's. Two gears in each spot. It cuts your shifting in half.
Amigo eres muy joven para tener el brazo reseco y el rostro semi quemado. Muchos camioneros terminan con cancer de piel por no usar bloqueador Cuida tu piel
I once got stuck in traffic for 2 hours in Charlotte only to roll up on a closed lane and bunch of cops just standing around. I'm sure there was a very bad accident that they had just cleared and were taking a moment to destress but it was one of those "open the &^%* lane" moments.
i feel you bro, 13 speeds can be tricky, specially if you have to downshift and the shifter is not smooth ( i know some eatons are stiffer than others) i dont know how to explain it but if your a trucker youll understand
How do you guys not utilize composting? Rotten vegetables make for some of the best fertilizer around. I haul for an onion company and we use all of our leftovers to create fertilizer.
hey alex my dad has been a truck driver for over 30 years and usually when a load goes bad he brings it to the yard and hands it out to coworkers, friends, and brings a lot of it home too. he just offers to take it and they let him
As sad/bad as it is to throw away food. Just imagine donating it to a homeless shelter or animal shelter and someone gets sick or dies from it. It's a lose/lose situation
