This helicopter features an externally running enhanced flight model, further improving the MSFS helo physics. During a short hop from EDLE to EDLW in Germany, we perform a full flight tutorial (including cold'n'dark startup) for the amazing FlyInside Bell 206 Jetranger III. Hello and thanks; you're the only one who has mentioned certain steps during turning on the engine. When explaining, you say that you assigned some commands to your joystick buttons, namely starter and idle release. But you don't say to what command on the list!? Is it Toggle master state switch, set starters (hold), starters start... And what about idle release? It seams that without holding the button all the time, as you say, i can't start it without hotstart! Thanks in advance!

The assignment for the starter is called "set starter 1" and for the idle release "decrease cowl flap 3". I'm sure they also state that in the manual.

Great video demonstrating the 206, thank you! How do you find the frame rates compared to other addons?

Thanks, glad you like it. This helo is really a lot more demanding on the system than I would have expected. I would maybe compare the FPS hit with the Airbus A310. Didn't fly the A310 for a looong time and maybe the FPS did improve over the last updates, but it was very demanding when it released.

thanks for the tutorial. may i ask how you bind the starter to make it hold for on and release to stop? i can only seem to do it as on or off.

FlyInside states somewhere on their website or in the manual which button/command has to be mapped. I think it's "Engine Starter 1" or similar. Just keep the button pushed during startup and it should work :) Cheers

@@goalski134 Hmm that's strange. No, I didn't do anything special. Are you using a joystick button? I did map it on a Thrustmaster T16000M.

@@SimulationChannelDeluxe yep, i’m using a joystick and have it mapped to one of the buttons. i even tried changing it to “on release” to see if that worked. pressing the button keeps it automatically on and then it cuts itself out at the right time. keeping the button depressed stops it again. it’s not a huge deal, i thought i’d just fix it if it was easy, to make it more realistic.
