✈ Welcome on board! If you're interested in realistic flight simulation, then this channel is for you!
As a true flight sim and aviation enthusiast, I always strive for maximum realism when flying in X-Plane 11 or MSFS. On the SCD channel we're mainly flying IFR on realistic commercial flight routes, but VFR is also fun from time to time. There are also lots of tutorials, comparison videos, livestreams and a few review videos.
I hope you like the content and please enjoy your stay :)
It is just easy enough to learn, yet not as boring as an e175, difficult enough to keep you engaged but not overkill like MD-88, and has enough checklist items balanced throughout the flight to be fun and not most items during preflight like the 737 and it's a little quirky too. Once you start to realize you might be getting bored, you're already starting the descent to your destination airport because all it does is short hops. An all around fun plane to fly!
On the official SWS PC-12 website you can download a panel mod to enable the PMS GTN (under "FREE EXTRAS"). I think you can also get the manual there. Cheers
Thank you, that was nice and helpful. I can't get the copilot to disappear, clicking on his seatbelt does nothing. Also the EPU never appears either. Don't know what I am doing that is different to you, downloaded the latest version and this is what I get I guess. Any ideas?
Thanks, I'm glad you like the vid :) Regarding these issues, sorry but I can't help there, for me it worked normally and also I don't have this helo installed anymore. I read that there are issues recently with the Hype Ops Center/ download etc.
Thank you! Goodness I struggle with this video specially during approach and landing. Your tutorial was the best that I have ever seen regarding this aircraft. Amazing def subbing to your channel and liking it as well. Looking forward for the rest of your catalog.
The 310 and 414 are very good, although I see that there is a lot of difference between the two in the flight model. The 310 is much more nervous, I don't know if this is the case in reality...

dude your effort to make this video is really amazing, i just moved from P3D to Xplane 11 today (i know its too late HAHA) and i dont know what addons should i use, thankss!!!
I personally only own the 414, but you defo can't go wrong with any of these. The 414 doesn't feature wear & tear / maintanance, so if that's important to you, maybe consider an alternative.
I love your clear dignified tutorial. Question 2: You have mentioned Reverse-Idle after landing. Could you be kind and describe how we deploy reverse braking both in the real Longitude throttles and also in our own Throttle Quadrant in the MSFS2020 (mine is a Honeycomb Betta Quadrant).
I'm using a Thrustmaster T16000M and I have a button mapped to toggle the thrust reversers. It's fittingly called "Toggle Reverse Thrust" or similar. That way you can manually set the thrust as desired. There's also a button command to engage and hold reversers at 100%.
Dear Sebastian. I am Gadi. Let us assume that we recognise the 7 controls options found in the msfs2020. I would like to assign them not to just any button. I would like to deploy my thrust levers with my hands just like a real pilot does for reverse brake after landing. I will quote several lines from PILOT REPORT: CESSNA CITATION LONGITUDE: " I lifted the thrust reverser levers to the reverse position and slid both throttles to full reverse. .... The FADEC automatically began to reduce the amount of reverse thrust at 85 knots, ending at 45 knots. This allowed me to keep the levers at full reverse, not having to worry about any engine or aerodinamic limitations while maximizing the stopping force. " He describes an automatic reverse process which Idon't expect in the simulator. Yet, I would like to immitate the lever handle movements that initiate and end a real aircraft reverse braking process.
@@user-dx5fu2no5v Well I guess your throttle quadrant also uses some kind of "click spots" along the throttle range to initiate reverse thrust. Just assign the toggle reverse thrust command to that spot and it should work quite nicely.
I love your clear dignified tutorial. Question 1: I watched you climbing in FLC mode at vertical speeds of 5000-7000fpm, whereas the maximal allowed vertica speed of the real Longitude is less than 5000fpm. Is it a bug of the simulator, or do I miss something ? It looks to me that realistic VSs can only be maintained in deploying a VS mode.
@@SimulationChannelDeluxe Thank you for admitting that such a climb is excessive, but if you watch carefully you will find such a rocketlike climb in almost any climb when deploying simple FLC or any VNAV sequence of climbs. If we actually have to use restraining VS most of the time, it means we do not have an automatic climb VNAV in this simulated Longitude.
@@user-dx5fu2no5v Yeah that's why I didn't want to use VS. Biz jets are usually way too powerful and light, so those crazy climbs are pretty much normal I suppose ;)
Even if we disagree at this point (Textron specifications for maximal VS vary between 4300 and 4900 fpm) I am grateful & loved every minute in your tutorial. I may ask you more questions in the future for some parameters and tools for the MFD which I could not find in my Longitude. @@SimulationChannelDeluxe
I tried to use X-Life this week after reinstalling X-Plane and all the traffic is completely random. There's Finnair A320s at LAX and Air Malta at MEM. I have the Bluebell XL packs installed already. Do you know how to fix this issue?
It seems to be one of the best payware aircraft of all times in MSFS 2020. Extremely detailed, and seems to be pretty fun to fly too. Amazing plane. By the moment it's quite expensive to me, but I'll buy it as soon as possible. Have you flown the FSR500? So good too, I recommend you this one.
Vid made me want to fly the 414 again but she will not start manually or autostart??? Except for a low voltage warning everything appears to be right. Engines just turn over and die. Autostart or on runway they again just die. If I start in air they are both dead. Ideas? Haven't flown since the last big update but before ran great/no issues.
Solution- Setting your fuel before flight using the MSFS method did NOT add fuel to the aircraft. I caught it and using the Ipad? in plane added fuel "both tanks were empty" and both fired right up.
I played FS 2020 when it came out. I love that plane but had so many issues with that. First, the distance I couldn't reach my destination from Frankfurt to Orlando because I always ran out of fuel. Second, I could get the required flight height. Are all the bugs fixed for that plane?
I didn't try such a long flight yet, but there are certainly no issues reaching cruise FLs above FL400. Maybe try out the most recent version of the plane again.
I'm thankful to have watched that episode of yours, while I'm acutally downloading the pack via F.B.W. Installer that I've had for couple of years, but only used to to keep my A320 FBW updated, or the Salty version of the 747. But this "FSLTL" package I wasn't aware of until today! while I was also checking out my Headwind versions that I got, when I discovered something else that was also new to me, even though I've flown my MSFS2020 over 1,5 million Nautical Miles, guess I've been too busy just flying these "Defaults Asobo" or Captan Sim 's airliners :( But I'm looking forward to see that new stuff will look like after I've downloaded all these variants. And since I'm such a addorer of the FlightRadar24 and has been for over an decate it's awesome if that new addonn really puts the correct airliner in it's correct gate or ramp
Yes FSLTL is really good, and it uses the FR24 data as good as it can. Of course it can't depict every single real world flight (as it would also tanker the FPS), and flights may appear some minutes later than irl. But it's defo awesome :) Thanks for watching!
You can try that and it's easier, but you lose the ability to customize the airport coverage, for example with a different imagery provider or also ZL19. I think high_ZL_airports always uses ZL18.
I cannot raise the plane until it reaches 200 kt, although the rotation speed reads 135 kt, on a dry runway and TOTO, flaps 8, with the iPad performance data set. Some clue? 😞
something does not seem quite right to me - but I might get corrected. The starter sounds like the one on an Antonov-2, a flywheel. I have never heard this on DC-3's, neither outside nor inside. What they have done is model an inertial starter instead of a regular starter motor that is used in all other big props, too.
