Just because a business man is rich doesn't mean he can afford to give more to all his employees. If he has a food business then he has hundreds of workers. If it's a tech company then he employs less and higher trained workers and sells something that has a high market value. So the tech business man can afford more and get richer much faster. These guys don't get that food has a low market value. While computers have a high market value.
Key word in your argument is "afford". For the businessman it means he keeps making profit. For moderate it may mean he doesn't lose money. For socialist it probably means he stops being rich.

Yeah any business dealing with organic material like food or plants or animals are gonna have a super high upkeep cost to maintain the quality of it all, my high school entrepreneurship class teacher had a flower shop as a side business and said it was awful his profit margins were so thin
@@DrBoofenstein I remember back in the 90s when I worked at a McDonalds. At one point in time there was $2k per month in unaccounted waste of product. That was on top of the waste that was accounted for. Most of that unaccounted for waste was just people being lazy and not noting what was thrown out for legitimate reasons like reaching its expiration date or it being a certain length of time since being cooked or whatnot. (Though some certainly walked out the back door one way or another.) It just goes to show how hard it can be to maintain profitability in a business that relies on goods with expiration dates or one sort or another (It doesn't necessarily need to be a "use by" date either, as is the case with the flowers in your example)
I told family and friends that as soon as the ACA takes effect we would move to a part-time job society. So said so done. My mom was retired and worked at McDonald's to get out of the house. She was regularly getting 35-40 hours a week for years. In January of the ACA she and here co-workers started getting no more than 25 and on average 15-20 hours so that they would NOT hit the full-time threshold.
@@juanv305 I mean, just from a narrow sense of who I'd rather prepare my food, certainly a grown woman over a kid as greasy as the sandwich. Why would it matter to you or me how the old and the young spend their time anyways? But sure, the ACA definitely has made it more of an exclusively teenaged job, for better or worse.
The first thing that happened to me...they cut my hours to less than 30 a week....and on top of that, I had to pay a penalty because I couldn't afford Obamacare!!

I had good insurance for my family...then the ACA came along. Went from a low co-pay on a good plan to an absolutely ridiculous deductible, on a craptastic plan, at almost double the monthly cost. NOPE...way cheaper to pay my bills out of pocket, and pay the F'n fine for not having insurance. In the long run...I saved thou$and$, by not having any insurance at all.

It’s insane how much tax my employees lose each year. I even hire a full-time CPA to make sure we are getting all getting the proper deductions and they’re losing 10k+ on a 40,000 a year salary
Anyone should be able to figure out that financing overpriced medical care for large numbers of ordinary people is going to require a broadly applied tax, like a VAT or a National Sales Tax. It's not possible that, with such models in place in other countries, no one at all in America can figure this out.

All laws infringe liberty. I started my business in 1979 and quickly discovered that every "write-off" that is talked about and envied by the public actually reduces the amount that is available for paying employees, reduces any return on invested capital, reduces money available to expand, and reduces the "living wage" an owner should receive for his/her efforts. The political panderers in government often pass laws without regard to whether or not they will be workable but only to give the appearance that they are trying to help the employees. It doesn't come out of their pockets; they are paid very well.

There has been insurance for many years... Hospitals and doctors have a choice to treat a patient who has not the ability to pay in non life threatening cases. I have seen gross abuse of people on Medicaid, and I think that is the real problem.
That shit is the most expensive care I’ve ever seen, I was making 10 an hour, working less than 40 hours and they wanted almost 400 a month for me to just be enrolled with no vision or dental.. don’t forget there’s a deductible if you use it.. it’s Astonishing Democrats act like this is a good thing

You don't need to expand your business but you also don't need government interference. Make your profits get rich and then step aside and give someone else a chance to realize the american day dream.
