@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Hearing a lot about Amazon firing people currently and aggressively increasing PIP it seems. Please say your views on this. Are SDE people affected?
One must remember, that they are a replaceable part for whichever company they work and work is just a tiny pie of a more significant chunk i.e life. Once this is understood either by experience or the hard way, the nuances of what would happen if I get fired fades away.
Loved the video, plus point was you talked about negative aspects without giving us fake assurance of settled life of software engineering like everyone's doing. Looking forward for more honest talk videos. Thanks a lot
Really glad some like you are showing the true picture of the life of Software Engineer. Others are painting garden of roses with their thankful messages and onboarding kits on LinkedIn and making RU-vid videos that they worked hard to reach nothing to everything by preparing DSA :)
really makes you envy of your government job friends. regardless of whatever work you have you get to go after your hours are done for the day. on top of that best bonus and benefits
i recently quit a product based company, and have seen old people working, they are more like dealing with clients and managers due to their experience. so not sure about coding part but they do have so sit in front of screens
That is one of the main reasons for unemployement in india...most govt jobs dont require skilled workforce....except few like upsc ongc etc...and if that unskilled population goes to pvt companies they will get fired ....islie they r obssessed with govt jobs...
@@kumarsamaksha7207 Man na hai mano nahi mann na I dont really care... Most job seekers are highly unskilled....and there are very limited positions in the govt jobs that pay well and have great work life balance....Upsc, rbi grade b jobs and few others r part part those few dream govt jobs...baaki sab c grade me jate and 30k per month mushkil se kamate becz if those unskilled ones go to pvt companies they will most probably be working in indian startups and not big mncs....and even if they r paid decent but their work life balance will be fucked up...and tb wo bnde pvt companies ko badnam krege ...
the example that you gave around 9th minute or so sounds more like slavery than a job to me 😅. I'd definitely want to stay away from such companies no matter what the compensation is. However I do understand that some people have responsibilities like debt to repay etc. in those cases too I'd suggest start looking for other options.
if you had your company you would have to work like Elon musk or any other CEO and if a person is paying someone money for work he will always expects to take 3-4x or even more from you to cover his cost and earn profit.
@@PrimexOGPlays True but this is borderline inhuman treatment... Might i remind you humans are social creatures. It's unrealistic to provide food and accommodation and then think that they'll work on the given project restlessly... It can have serious impacts on their mental health and social lives
True that. I was surprised to listen to this. Obviously it's not that they were not allowed to go, but the timelines were so strict, that they rarely could go. Finishing of projects of 6 months in 2 months
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Were you surprised by my comment ? If so I am so sorry bhai, but companies generally suck the shit out of their employee's. That's all I meant to say by this. Like if they pay you 1 rupee then they suck 10 rupees out of you. I am your subscriber bhai and I haven't seen a more sensible person than you in my life of your age.
nobody cares about 12th marks ,to get into product based u need 2 things -u should be very good at dsa && at your project skills(like in web dev, android dev,ai/ml)
Sir are there any branch criteria for off campus internships and off campus placement at top product based company???...And sir once I enter into IT industry will there be any branch barrier any more if I want to switch from one job to another??..... Sir please reply..(I am from mechanical at jadavpur university)
Bhaiya tech support jobs are good or bad..I am working in tcs and handling all the jobs after the developer developed the product..lots of pressure without prior knowledge we have to support various applications..very stressful job
Bruh I have a question to ask u....I have heard or seen on youtube that they got a job offer in usa , london , germany , Amsterdam, Singapore but I haven't seen a single video where they got a offer or transferred to switzerland office or transferred to swiss branch ( indian people) ...like it is hard or what or they didn't hire from india
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Actually, today's video seems quite demotivating to me about my career in software field, currently working in a product based company and always advocated this field to my cousins and parents but now after seeing this video 😔
@@abhaykaushik95 these are just parts and parcel of any field. There will be good sides and there will be bad sides. It is good to advocate for the field, but at the same time, we should also understand that the field is not for everyone. Hence while advocating tell the positives as well as the negatives 😊
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay I understand your point, But also make some videos which shows positives of working in this field, Everyone is talking about cons only which degrades the image of this Industry even more, I think because of these "cons voice" only people see this field with little or no respect and same is reflected while getting marriage proposals.
If someone is sleeping at night,if then on call happens and the engineer didn't know abt that what will happen?if they got to know after waking up in morning?
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Yeah, but I do not understand that if someone is sleeping deeply, he has no sense or some severe illness or any critical situation, how can they work or respond on this situation?
@@ankitghosh9873 sleep is no excuse. For other cases, manager can assign on call to someone else. Also, some companies follow primary and secondary level. So, there will be two persons on call. One of them has to respond.
Now i am scared to switch to product based companies after watching this video 😅😅. Current service based which i am working has good work, a bit good salary, good work life balance
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay yeah maybe you're in the luckiest team....90% of the teams are bad and i myself interned in amazon it was a horrible experience for me. they expect too much from an intern and always sticks with their stupid leadership principle which is too much for a college grad to align with it.
