This is phenomenal work/editing! Awesome video....enjoyed every second. One thing I really loved about this video and others you create, is that you're not afraid to include a shot if it's not perfect. I think so many videographers are focused on making these films "perfect" from start to finish, and I understand that, but truly the real moments happen when you least expect them. Sometimes you can't plan for a moment....you just gotta roll with it. The opening shot may have been shaky or frenetic, but the reaction and dialogue was so good that it's simply a shot and moment you can't leave out, when maybe others would. You seem to capture these days and these people in the most authentic and natural way possible and I love that. The story will always be what keeps people engaged. Great work as always!
Wow! I don’t even know where to start. I truly appreciate that feedback. This means so much and I couldn’t agree more with everything you said. The opening shot, to me, felt like I was a family member walking in the door and she turns and says that. It was so unexpected but like you said, the energy had to go in. There’s always some slight love and hate about the shaky mess lol. Thank you though for noticing and I really appreciate the feedback.
I never usually watch other people’s wedding films, but I had to stick around for this one. What feels so good about it is that you’re letting the characters do all the work & not trying to make it about your fancy bokeh… the filmmaking is so excellent that it’s almost invisible, and it lets their story become the star of the show. Well done man.
You take your work several steps ahead, and it just makes me feel I have a whooooole lot of work and effort to put in. It's not just inspirational, it is groundbreaking and revolutionary. Thank you Justin for sharing what it feels to be in someone's shoes. This work right here is phenomenal.
Wow!! Just wow.. that film was so beautiful, every single second of it. I kept tapping the screen to see the time remaining to make sure it wasn’t about to be over because I wanted to see more 😢 I couldn’t believe how fast 22 min past. Wow! Excellent job guys. ❤
Bro - you reminding wedding film makers such as myself the importance of the story and connecting viewers emotionally! Also, you do what you have to do to get the shot needed! Much love from the Unscripted Love Wedding Films family!!
Best in the business... Hands down.... I'd rather watch something like this than a cookie cutter slow motion wedding video (I make those) 🤣🤣🤣 Good stuff bro!
Man I really appreciate that! I used to make those haha. It’s ok. I will be making so much stuff to try showing the process so others can make them too 🙌🏾
dangggg! I never imagine thia kind of concept you made in my own wedding film experience.. Love you output... unique approach for wedding output borther.
The pain of separation between us and our loved ones who have passed on...their destiny resides in the other side beyond this Earth. Maybe we'll cross paths sometimes in each other's dreams!
Wow this is so smooth. Everything just flow together from one scene to the next. I’m not going to lie this got me on my feels 😅. That’s when you know you’re watching something special. Keep killing it bro. You’re an inspiration.
I can see all of the effort you put into the production and editing. Amazing! - We recently filmed a long wedding day but no matter how nicely we asked the photographer or others, people kept interrupting the moment and ruining important dialogue. Curious how you go about having photographers keep quiet for longer than they are used to.
That’s such a good thing to point out. Sometimes it is what it is but you can always do a post interview after the fact alone and ask them what took place. Try digging and getting the story that way. In this film, after she had her breakdown and her aunt comforted her, that’s when I interviewed her.
@@JustinPorterMedia Nice. I saw that and also noticed you guys doing really well mixing tripod shots and handheld to get crowd reactions during ceremony. Very cool!
Thank you for sharing this. I loved it. I’m more inspired than ever to keep learning to create better stories that change more lives. Much success is coming your way.
ANOTHER ONE!!!! Incredible work as always bro!! I'm gonna schedule a consultation with you at the top of the year. I need to tell you to your face how much your changing the game for the industry and myself personally! Appreciate you and your work brother!!
Hahaha 🗣️ CHANGING THE GAME! Lol I’m down bro anytime you’re ready. Thanks so much though for real for the support. It means the world. Blessings to you this new year. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
This is a called wedding film; you nailed it like always. Without any doubt, I can say this is One of your best films. Love it. You are a great inspiration 🎉
That means so much! I agree, I feel like it’s one of our best works yet. It’s so amazing to see these stories carry so much you know. Thank you for the kind words!
I love this man, but I feel like the barrier to entry to shoot this way is way above what most of us as videographers can afford at first. Heck, I am pushing to get my first full season booked and I'm 4 years in. I finally bought a new camera 3 years in to shoot 4k and it's only $1500. Love this stuff, I love what you are able to get, but It's going to take some time for more to achieve this long form film style.
Damn. Another great reality style wedding film Justin! 😁Even though I prefer your faster paced reality-style wedding films myself, as they're actionpacked while still maintaining the emotions, I find this video to be perfectly fitted for this family! You managed to capture the full moment without relying on b-roll and other goodness. They asked you to specifically do this, or you realized that it's more fitting this time? Also; how many shooters was this? You captured the footage of what 10 of me could in a day 😂 Still craving more behind the scenes from you, btw! 🥰 After getting three Deity TC1 that you recommended and a few lavmics I tried a more documentary/reality style of wedding film myself on my second ever wedding film (it's on YT, #smallplugsorry 😉). I didn't manage to capture a percent of as much emotions and story as you managed, but the couple seemed to love it, and I also got a few more bookings because of it already (It was a dec 10th wedding). Time to invest in more lavmics and get some more practise in either way. 🎉🎉
Hey! Thanks so much for watching and supporting as always. This film, like all of mine, really depend on the story we get. This couple was very open about their love and wanted to scream it to the world so it made it a bit easier to get the story. This one was filmed with me and assistant Connor but during the ceremony and toasts, we had a third or 4th camera set up on tripods. I have to go check out the one you did. I love that it has inspired you to dive into this realm of wedding storytelling.
@@JustinPorterMedia Very well done with just two shooters! Especially around the prep! 💪 You had both shooters at each location? Don't stress it, as my video is on Norwegian 😅, but I've made English CC. 😉
Exceptional! I live in Trinidad and Tobago, this is the inspiration I needed to relaunch my wedding videography business, now storytelling... Thank you Mr Porter, thank you! @justinportermedia
