As I learn more about Non Duality, the idea of the Mandelbrot set keeps appearing in the mind... The endless zoom... whatever we think we know, even as described in Sacred texts, looks to me like a spot in a Mandelbrot set... there's always a deeper level, and I don't think we are meant, or can ever get to the bottom of it... it has no bottom. And if we don't understand how something can be bottomless, we shouldn't be surprised. The mind is limited. is it not? Even Perception is.... even Imagination...

I wish the Swami would stop continually trying to draw similarities between Vedanta and modern “science”. Modern “science” is not honest and is based on completely false notions. If it accidentally hits on some transcendental truths then it is merely by blind accident, and it is just as likely to later repudiate those positions as it is to maintain them. “In assuming its modern form, science has lost not only in depth but also, one might say, in stability, for its attachment to principles enabled it to share in their immutability to the extent that its subject-matter allowed, whereas being now completely confined to the world of change, it can find nothing in it that is stable, and no fixed point on which to base itself; no longer starting from any absolute certainty, it is reduced to probabilities and approximations, or to purely hypothetical constructions that are the product of mere individual fantasy. Moreover, even if modern science should happen by chance to reach, by a roundabout route, certain conclusions that seem to be in agreement with some of the teachings of the ancient traditional sciences, it would be quite wrong to see in this a confirmation of which these teachings stand in no need; it would be a waste of time to try to reconcile such utterly different points of view or to establish a concordance with hypothetical theories that may be completely discredited before many years are out.(Note 2) As far as modern science is concerned, the conclusions in question can only belong to the realm of hypothesis, whereas the teachings of the traditional sciences had a very different character, coming as the indubitable consequences of truths known intuitively, and therefore infallibly, in the metaphysical order.(Note 3) Modern experimentalism also involves the curious illusion that a theory can be proven by facts, whereas in reality the same facts can always be equally well explained by several different theories; some of the pioneers of the experimental method, such as Claude Bernard, have themselves recognized that they could interpret facts only with the help of preconceived ideas, without which they would remain 'brute facts' devoid of all meaning and scientific value. Note 2: Within the religious realm, the same can be said about that type of 'apologetics' that claims to agree with the results of modern science-an utterly illusory undertaking and one that constantly requires revision; one that also runs the risk of linking religion with changing and ephemeral conceptions, from which it must remain completely independent. Note 3: It would be easy to give examples of this: we will mention only one of the most striking: the difference in the conceptions of ether of Hindu cosmology and modern physics.” René Guénon, The Crisis of the Modern World

Initially a person pretends that he is awake. Because he thinks that ,he knows more, he talks more , he struggles more he ask more, he does more. Then one day he sits deeply engrossed into him , Then suddenly he found that he is actually sleeping but not awake. Once someone in reality found that he is sleeping , then sound of wind, then sound of word, then small action , then small gesture make him awake. This sleep is very near to awakening.

I love his lectures but I get uncomfortable when he puts the lessons of Hinduism or Vedanta on same pedestal as Christianity / Islam. A true Vedantic and a true Christian will have no comparison whatsoever.

if you mind is totally reverse and conflicated you can understand that mind playing with you or your karma or data in mind or pecption or subconscious data actaully makimg you what you feel .

freeom means is like mind shoukd be understood completely or karma should be clear ,kama is just memoy in mind;which appears as thoughts time to time and also as a state of mind which appears in front of u in mind itself thats y we feel like mind and body this is actaully para metaphysics. what can we do we are actually king or god but karma shows us as mirror actually we should be thankful for this all gift from mind to bosy and need to clear all the ignorences whatever is conflication in mind actaully ignorences regaeding the real data the data on which mind make all is like sat chit anand

If the true consciousness inside everybody, by definition, is beyond any experience, description, attribute, etc., then any attempt to "realize" it is, by definition, impossible. Because as you (and Kathopnishad) explain, that any experience, thought, memory, sensory perception, is by definition, not the true consciousness. So, how will one go about realizing the unrealizable? I would very much appreciate some answers.

What about standing with wisdom? What if we have but one common origin? What if we are different in life for love? I keep coming back to Genesis 2:18. I feel we are forgetting what we are here for. Look at all the fighting in the world. Sad.

In difficult times pray to God that give me the inner strength and capability and guidance That Pranav or I may come out of this problem and difficulties by my own strength. This is a Right Prayer to God.

Yama means a pit in my language which derived from sanskrit. Nachiketas went probably into a pit or the small cave like into the grave. Anyone else You know spent 3 days and nights in the pit of yama, prevailing against death?

Everybody listening who is interested in pactice.. if you have another type of practice, take whatever is useful to apply, if you have no practice at all, may you be inspired to find the right practice for you! if you already practice this and are new, stabilize yourself in the practice so that you will have a strong conventional understanding and a strong bond so you are not easily swayed away from the great practice! and if you are already stable, do not hesitate to dive deeper and dedicate more and more of your capacity to spiritual practice! Go beyond your current effort, I know.. they say the Truth is beyond effort, and indeed it is, but until then, dedicate as much as you can and even more! Be confident apply and soon you will discover the Great State beyond all duality. Nothing else will ever substitute this. And all efforts will be rewarded totally without any regret! They will seem like fine dust and like matters of no importance compared to the final realization of your true nature! Oh the great suffering and endless searching will end, having the perfect refuge of your Direct Experience! Why are you wasting time? There are always forms of practice suitable for all conditions of living! If you have this understanding and aspiration, act upon it swiftly with full heart! May you realize this Supreme Truth soon!
