The Messiah himself wasn't very "religious," haha. He was killed by religious people (book of John or Yochanan if you're Messianic J ewish). It's always worth asking the Creator to talk to you. Genuine exploration until you find the most important Person in the Universe, the One who loves you--I mean, there is no happier or better thing. If he exists, he is worth finding.
