My Cuz is here for a ponytail so you know I had to give her a payback! deeperthanhair.com Payback Ponytail: deeperthanhair.com/payback-po... First Video: • Somebody stole from me...
I love how your hair can be in the worst shape, and she never makes you feel bad about it. You leave with a healthy head of hair. She is the best of all the professionals on RU-vid.
Definitely my favorite hair stylist on RU-vid! A lot of them have this tone when they discuss how “bad your hair is” but she is so calm when informing you.
I stopped putting heat on my hair two years ago and it was the BEST decision ever. My ends stopped breaking off and my curls have never been better. Even if you like putting heat on your hair just try to do it less frequently to see a difference 💜
It’s twist out season for me now till October. No heat breaks are the best! Hang time in fall/winter & fro’s in the spring/summer since I live in an all seasons state
May not have been able to get that Signature Royal, but I sure am happy I purchased her Smoke n Mirrors flat iron...LADIES support this Black woman and her business bc quality and professionalism are something we all want to pay for when supporting any business and it cannot go unnoticed that this channel provides both. #supportblackWOMEN (all year round)
The reason why I love her is that she's not always making shorts trying to sale something she only mentions her products whenever she posts a video and that's so few and in between which I miss dearly she's very professional and I love her work
Like she says, “ heat isn’t the enemy. Lack of knowledge is”. I’m someone who doesn’t like my hair in it’s curly state anymore and my hair is thriving. Cut in a bob in December, in the middle of my shoulder blades now🤷🏾♀️
I think my hair grows better when straightened, it doesn't tangle and break off as much. I flat iron usually about once a month. My biggest issue is I've not had a professional cut in a long time so the breakage I might get isn't being fully removed. Hopefully here in 2022 I at last can have that fixed. I do love my curls, I have some adorable little wavy curls. But they don't look great with my hair shape right now, lol. Once I get a haircut, I'll break them out every now and then.
@@BewareTheLilyOfTheValley Same! Mine grew WAY more than when it was in its curly state for 8 years. I go to the salon once a month and she's the only one I trust with my hair and it's thick full and getting longer. Do you cut your own ends?
@@maryperry6573 I normally don't and that too lead to breakage. I did two at home cuts during the pandemic, one better than the other, so I need to have it evened out from that. But I've now begun giving myself small trims and have seen my hair growing.
My ears started tingling soon as I seen that hot comb come out 😅😣😩. I remember when we were younger, my sister called herself hot combing her hair. She did not detangle her hair, nor did she tap the hot comb on a towel when she took it off the stove. Babyyy she ran that comb through a chunk of hair and it burned clean off!! 😂😂 Hair dropped straight to the floor 😂😂 Kids… lol
I did that too in the 9th grade. My momma told me to keep my hands out of my head . . . Of course I didn’t listen. Let’s just say my brother had a good laugh 😂
@@MsPbass 😂😂 Yea, I was dying laughing and my sister was talkin bout “please don’t tell mommy!” I’m like “Girl she gon smell that burnt hair soon as she come home!” 😂
I'm a stylist that didn't have any curly hair education in school (like many other stylists) and you always give the best tips. All my curly hair clients love my presses and I think it's because I've learned so much watching you.
Definitely agree heat is not at all the enemy. For years, I flat ironed my hair every other week and it was almost to my waist. I had to cut a bit off (trim girl, trim 😭) and in the meantime wore my hair naturally and had the worst fairy knots and felt like I lost more of my ends there then I ever did when I had it stretched and flat ironed. With some heat protectant spray, deep conditions and moderation, our hair can still strive.
Same here. My hair thrived when it was heat trained. I’ve stopped the heat and wear my natural curls and protective styles and my hair is stuck at like 11-12” and the fairy knots are annoying. My hair used to grow to 14-15” when I was relaxed and heat trained
I concur with heat. My mom raised me with the press and curl, so my hair is definitely heat trained and grew very well. Blue magic grease and murrys lol
Hello! I just want to say that I watch you all the time. I never comment but I just passed both of my state board test and am now a licensed cosmetologist!!!! Thank you so much for giving such great advice and tips 😊
I can watch your videos all day. Always informative and open for questions. I love how gentle you are with each client and how you explain each detail in your process of hair care. KEEP IT UP QUEEN! An abundance of love & support from the 215🖤✊🏾
*"Don't over think it."* 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 I truly enjoy watching your videos, especially seeing the joy you give your clients. 💜 #veryrelaxing #veryinformative
😂 NOT Smokey Robinson! When I worked in the salon and someone sprayed a client at the shampoo bowl, we’d either say we took them to Splashtown or WaterWorld (former water parks here in Houston) 🤣 Thanks for making me laugh and making me think of those memories.
Yes she needed a trim bad girl.. But you killed it, as always.. always give your hair a good detox cut because them ends isn't not needed.. You're cutting skills are very much on point I love it love it love it.😘😘😘😘
When I used to go to a stylist they would never give me the option of taking a thinner hair out slowly, it was always they would decide on cutting my hair, never just trimming. You are the first one I have heard that has given this option, thanks for listening to your clients.
I still use mine….👀 I have used a flat iron, but I don’t like that the same temperature is used throughout from root to tip. An old-school hot comb cools overtime so the heat used on the length is cooler than at the roots.
Yay!!! The Payback is back!!! I appreciate your humorous commentary's! They always put a smile on my face! Happy Birthday to your cousin!!🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳🎂 🙌✌️✌️💛
Hey, I just wanted to say thank you! I have a live long history of “neglecting” my hair. Now my daughter is having the same hair type and I’ve decided I will change this. So for the last few months every evening before my bedtime story, I would brush her hair with a soft brush and just sing a lullaby and the results are mind blowing. She has long curls now and also the big forehead is starting to reduce. Thank you for opening my eyes. I was on the way of creating for my daughter the same stigma I have.
You always handle the hair with so much care and love 💕 stylist like you are really appreciated 🙏🏾 you can definitely tell you’re passionate with what you do! I love to see it
i have NEVER seen a styling of hair or heard advice that didn't just HIT! i am a 48 y/o lady growing out a pixie..sooo i cant do much, but..the vibe of your channel has ..well..A VIBE! LOVVVE this..such a process of transformation and the WAY u do it...just a YES💘💘🎯THANK YOU.
Shoutout to you for actually taking care of her hair 💕🥰 and not just asking her to come blow dried and slapping a ponytail in her head! Bless you sis♥️
Hey Queen-Sister ❤️ When I see you use a hot comb I can tell you some horror stories about a burned nape, ear tops and forehead. I'm surprised I'm not scarified from those burns. HATED IT!! Had to get hair washed, greased then under the hooded dryer. WOO CHILE!! Then the ultimate torture of the hot comb 😳 Sitting in the kitchen, draped in a bath towel...my Mom would blow the hot comb, wipe it on the draped towel then start with the tiny neck hair. I'd hear that 'bacon frying' sound from that Afro Sheen pressing grease and I'd jump because of my nerves and I'd get burned. Of course I'd start to cry. Nah my Mom didn't console me 🙄 she just gave me a minute to calm down then proceeded. Your client mos def needed that trim. It makes a world of difference doing so. I'm digging the ponytail. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯
I appreciate your honesty. I did a clay detox aloe cleanse and I followed your hair cut Video. My hair has stopped shedding 100. I need you in my hair!!
She is a awesome hair stylist. I wish some day to meet her. She is definitely a honest Queen. There is no one else like her. She takes care of her clients hair the way she takes care of hers. God bless you girl. Keep making people happy. Great job!!!! 💕💃😘
You seem so down to earth and chill. Who wouldn't like having you as a stylist?! These videos are so educational, yet fun to watch as you anticipate the outcome of the style. You're so talented and I enjoy watching you do what you do. Continue to be great💛
I was finally able to buy one of your flat irons!!!!! And I love the black, I can NOT wait to get it and use it on all my girls.. Thank you for sharing your passion with us your work is phenomenal… I am a fan for LIFE…
I truly love watching your videos...from the little quotes of inspiration at the beginning😊...to your words of great wisdom and knowledge...your just a joy to listen too and to watch your hands creating works of art💚🍀🇮🇪
Thank you , my love , for the amazing job that you do. Menopause is destroying my hair, so I took the plunge and did the big chop to get my hair healthy. Watching your videos has helped me so much. I am relearning how to care for my hair. Thank you!
👌👌👌🔥💃 Ki you're so appreciated, gifted, kind, and I love how you ALWAYS have words of wisdom and encouragement at the beginning. Mega Blessings Queen ❣️❣️❣️. Happy bday cuz Nay 🥳
I haven't seen you use Murphy wax in a minute. I love the pony. It's on my list of items to purchase too on your website. Thank you for always providing education in your videos.
I love your work! Every video is so relaxing. I love when you wash your clients hair. The massaging makes me want mine massaged too. I love the different textures. The natural hair is beautiful.
I definitely gotta get me a couple few Payback Ponytails. #1 because I know I'm keeping my money in my community. #2 you're a licensed cosmetologist. I've seen your genius at work.
Those edges though!! I wanted to see that part so badly cause my edges are thin like that. Thinner actually so I'm still learning how to lay them. Everything came out beautifully. ❤
🤦oh cut it off!!!! I can never understand why ppl want to hold on to those thin strands. Getting ahead of it makes it grow back so fast and thick. And your cuts are amazing. I would have no doubt in my mind I'm getting up fly
My favorite RU-vid voice 😍😍 my ends looked sparse just like your cousin’s and after I got rid of those ends my hair looked so much better! I do want to come to you in Cali and get my hair done by you!! You do such a great job! FYI, your cousin’s eyebrows tho, 🔥🔥 and her payback pony looks so good!
I appreciate your brief comment about the BSS hair vs virgin hair. It would be nice to see a video of your recommendation on BSS hair brands. There's so much out there now. Thank you for sharing!
I grew up using the hot comb. It got the job done with no heat damage. Lol… Loved the look of her pony! 🥰 Please show us how you styled her thin edges. They looked GOOD! Tfs! 😊👍🏽
I can't wait!!!!!! Until I get my smoke and mirrors flat iron omg. I'm going to get someone to get it for me for my birthday 4/22 😏lol. Have to make sure I get some of that serum too. I love you and what you do for us women. You're so gentle and genuinely care and it shines right through your videos. Thank you for this content and thank you in advance for your wonderful products. Also her hair came out so wonderful. You never fail 😍 . One of those payback ponytails just might be my next investment 🤔
Easter Sunday with hot combs and you brought back memories. My grandma when she would hot comb my hair and I tried to put my hand on my hair she would hit me with the brush. I was tender headed. My favorite hairstyle 😍
Girl you are always on point with these hairstyles nd everything else you do especially to treat the hair. You put love into your God given talent nd not boast about it.Bc honey if I knew where you were located I would definitely book me nd my girl's hair appointment.Bc you cannot find too many only very few that put true love into their work nd love what they do❤
