Chris did a great job going through the set up of a new boat. The set up of the on board Garmin was helpful. I agree that Garmin has a better tech support for boat novas.

Chris is brilliant when it comes to these tough ones! LOL it was only supposed to take us an hour and I left him on the boat after 3 hours .... the download took a long time since it hadn't been done in a long while.

ELECTRICAL problem at our yacht club. Our neighbor purchased a used tri level boat and when he plugged it it he only had 120volts. He asked me to check it for him so I did. The electrician that rewired our dock the previous winter ran phase A to one side of the dock and phase B to the other side of the dock. I used a "Y" connection and ran one from the A side of the dock and ran another wire from the B side of the dock and he had power. Mostly on that beginning end of the dock is were the boats are mostly day boats up to 30'. So the way it was set up was not a problem because they mostly only had a 120Volt connection. The Boat owner called the electrician and he came by a few days later and fixed the issue by putting the wiring from B side over to his slip on the A side and the boat owner was good to go. Kind of a weird situation but it worked out ok. Just thought I would share that. Mountain View Yacht Club, Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Thanx Jeff

We have calls often when people arrive saying that they are having shore power problems. Seems lots of electrical issues with boats!

Love your show, but please get some wireless mics. The audio sometimes is horrible very educational, but you need wireless mikes for everyone. Keep up the good work.

It’s not the mics. It’s where you have them. Keep your mics away from the throat area. If they are up against the throat area, they pick up vibrations in the neck, making them sound distorted. I love your videos. Just trying to help make them better.

@@fishgames7700 love you for the help .... yes that's the problem! These mics are the best but hard to place on the guys shirts. Our next set have a magnets so we can put them hopefully any where. LOL I place mine under my shirt on a strap!

Lol I would love to own a pilot boat up here on lake Michigan lol but we have had a span of owners from Chicago melting their shore power plug adapters because they didn't want to spend the money for good ones lol

Shore power is an issue here too! For whatever reason boats arrive and can’t get it to work!

@@WillFixThat how old is the dock boxes yall deal with maybe there is some internal corrosion? Because ours did that and causing the cable plug to burn up or melt on the dock or boat plug
