A Note from Techsew! - Just a quick note since you touched on the lack of speed reducer, according to our customers, the combination of servo motor, needle position system and speed reducer is absolutely essential in getting the slowest possible sewing speed, especially for people who are new to sewing.
A new toy! So much fun! Anything that makes life easier and the product your produce the quality you want. Can't wait to see you use it!! Oh the fun to come!!
You look much happier with this one. Love seeing you smile. The compact style table is nice. So excited for you. Finding the right pair up is not always easy. Glad you found the right match.
Oh my gosh!! I LOVE the custom color paint job!! I hope he offers it to us!! That pink is my jam too!!! ❤ I'll be buying one of these machines in the near future!!
Thanks for posting this Lauren! I was considering both of these models and I chose to call Sunny's to order the Thor 1341 because I am also really used to using my Juki 1541s and this one is so similar. I love the skinny table so that the left side is totally free. It should be here by the end of the week. I can't wait to give it a spin! 💕
Okay, I purchased the machine from Sunnys Sewing and have had it for a while. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Exactly what I was looking for. It is straightforward and sews like a champ. Thank you so much for the video. I had been looking for a while and this machine is my dream machine!
Congrats! I got mine in December and haven't used it yet. I also got the Thor thats equivalent to the 8700 and have using that. I'm looking forward watching you use it...hoping it will give me the little push I need to get it plugged in, turned on and sewing some bags!
I have the Juki 1341without the needle position-er. I would like to add that on both the 1541 and the 1341. I jammed the 1341 several times before I learned to really pull out a lot of thread and hold on to it for the first few stitches. I never had any tension issues with either industrial. Wish you luck with your new toy.
I have my Techsew 2750 pro and I love that thing. It sews like butter. I have it for over two years now. I do want a flatbed machine also hopefully soon I’ll get one.
Hi Lauren, I'm sorry to hear you had issues with your Techsew 4800 Pro - we never received any support requests from you and would have loved the opportunity to help you. We offer free lifetime technical support by phone, email and even Facetime and our technical team can resolve any machine problem big or small. Wishing you all the best with your new machine.
Hi Ron! I did respond to your email and appreciate you saying that!!! I’m sure others will be glad to know. And it’s true I did not reach out!! All issues I had were my own and I did make sure to state that. The machine is in a loving home and will get lots of use on RU-vid 🥰😻
I'm so happy for you! You look absolutely adorable, and who doesn't love pink? I want purple 😂. I also need a new space to work. I have totally outgrown my space. Any suggestions 😅 Enjoy! You deserve it. I got my order today, and I am so very happy. I love your quality products and I actually got a zipper jig❤❤I'm so excited. Thank you firball you d I!
If I get some leather from Chris/simply classic auction this weekend I could get the thicker ones instead of the ones she has for domestic if I had this machine! I have got to go to their shop and play on them lol
Congratulations! Amazon has the perfect drawer for this machine. I’ll try to send you the link. I put an additional drawer on my Juki 1541s. It’s super.
Not a huge fan of the TechSew machines. The folks at Sunny are good ones! Here’s the thing about speed reducers. If you’re sewing fairly thick, hard materials ( ie leather) the speed reducers add a significant amount of torque, which is really helpful. I have a couple of machines with a positioner; wouldn’t have another without one. Good choice on that machine, Lauren. 👍 Edited to add: The real truth is, ALL of these clone machines are exactly the same; probably originating from the same factories. The difference is the logo/badge and how the distributors tune and set them up.
Sorry to hear this! Which machine of ours have you tried? We're open to feedback if you'd like to shoot us a DM. We agree re- needle position system and speed reducers - you can't beat the combination of servo + reducer + NPS.
Seems like I’ve seen a drawer that can be added under a table. I did have a spice rack and a cookbook holder that we attached under kitchen cabinets. All that pink! I’m tall but I would have to lower tables or raise the chair. No doubt your body will tell you the position to use.
Hi Lauren love your new machine. I have one exactly the same but mine is called Cowboy. I have been trying to get hold of the exact edge guide, but I live in the uk. They got an edge guide for me but it’s rubbish and nothing like yours. This is a big ask, but could you get hold of one for me? 🙏🏼 🤔xx
Will you doing another video on this machine? A little more in depth by chance? I didn’t realize the cylinder arms came with the flatbed! That’s a game changer for sure!
Thank you so much for sharing your new amazing machine! Is the slim foot you are referring to the narrow presser foot that is offered on their site? I am doing research into purchasing a cylinder arm machine and this one seems to suit exactly what I was looking for. Perfect timing!
@@LaurenMormino Thank you so much! That is super helpful. And thanks so much for all you do. I appreciate all of your videos and the amazing products you offer on your site.
do you think you would be more comfortable with a higher chair ? when I got a sort of bar stool type chair with a back rest on it and so I was up higher it was much more comfortable to sew.
So, if you had one choice between a cylinder arm and a flatbed, which would you choose? I hate trying to maneuver a bag on my semi industrial flatbed, but I’d eventually love to have an industrial since my semi struggles with thick seams sometimes, and the clearance under the foot is terrible.
@@LaurenMormino this is my thinking too! Most of my struggles come from not having a free arm. I knew I wanted a walking foot but I didn’t realize some cylinders had a removable table. That’s a game changer for me- the best of both worlds, PLUS yours looks like it doesn’t take up too much space!
Hi Lauren! I was wondering about the metal table. Do magnetic clasps and closures magnetize to it when sewing? I have been looking into buying one and love the Stepping Foot Height Adjustment Dial. Did the narrow sewing foot come with the machine? Thanks so much❤
The narrow foot does not come with the machine. But is not a huge expense to add on! I do believe magnets could attach to the table but could easily be prevented.
Are you able to sew with the same fabrics you use on your Juki? Thinner water resistant canvas, cotton canvas, interfaced cotton I'm trying to decide what industrial to get. I want a cylinder arm version of the 1181, if that exists.
Are you able to raise and lower the table on your cylinder arm machine? Also I know you love your Juki 1181 but I’m curious why you didn’t purchase the cylinder arm instead ? Thank you. I’m researching industrial machines and I don’t want to have to keep up grading.
I got this machine in December. I love it. The only this is the bobbin winder has already stopped working. I'm sure it can be fixed, I just don't know how.
@LaurenMormino I did reach out and I talked with a mechanic but since we couldn't FaceTime (android user lol) I have no idea what he wanted me to do. I have a separate bobbin winder so I can still wind bobbins until I figure it out.
Have you tried sewing a bag on a post bed machine? While cylinder arms are more popular among bag makers, I am researching post beds as well, and would love to know your opinion if you have tried it.
Congratulations! I ordered mine on April 3rd and Sam is going to deliver it to me on the 23rd. (I have nobody to help me get it in the house). Sew excited!
Hi Lauren was this machine hard to set up> Did you have to attach the motor yourself? I have the 1181 and it as all attached. Just wondering, as I don't really have a husband or a male to help me. Thanks!
These type of machine are great for start up, you have both the flat bed and the cylinder arm. Do your research and try out a machine if you can. Lauren is sweet.
Hi!! I just bought this exact machine with the pedestal table from Sunny Sewing and I pick it up in 2 days. He could not give me exact measurements on the table because it's not in stock until I go to get it. Anyway, can you give me the dimensions? Height, Width, & Depth please? 🙂
I had thought the same thing but actually, it’s even MORE comfortable than a “regular” height sewing machine! I have a higher chair (because I’m very short) which the height of the needle plate is right about my chest height. This means no more hunching over to do precise stitching. It’s like HEAVEN to my back! I can sew for 9+ hours and not feel sore the next day.
I'm very surprised. You seem to have chosen an identical machine to the 4800 Pro for the color and shape of the table? And then you claim to have had trouble with the bobbin? The same bobbin this machine has? This is a disingenuous review and is likely an advert for Sunny Sewing. SMH Won't be listening/watching you anymore.
That’s totally your call! I had a lot of issues with the machine and have explained in several videos about them. The 4800 pro is a very powerful machine and it works for lots of other people. Just not me. 😣
We aren't expecting any advertisements from anyone. No matter if they're big or small. She's just stating what she has gone through. The color she didn't expect. We just get along really well. Sorry you feel that way sandra. But let your opinions be free! 🕊
@@LaurenMormino Here's what you don't get....a lot of people, including myself, see what you do, and think, she knows what she's doing (?), she's researched and picked this machine, this might be the right one. I did my own research and agreed and bought it too, thinking I could learn from you learning to use yours. But that was NOT the case! From your "trying to get comfortable" video with it, you looked frustrated and unhappy even though there were no apparent mechanical issues. And now you've got basically the same machine and are THRILLED! What about those that listened to you originally and love their machines? You should be aware that what you say, and post, has economic consequence, and I now find you irresponsible in your flighty endorsements. Now Sam is responding, which implies you somehow found it necessary to inform him of the existence of these comments (because why would Sam be stalking your YT videos and be drilling down in the comments when he never has before???)....I spoke to Sam before I purchased the 4800 Pro because I was considering the machine you now have, and he was more than mildly uninterested in selling me on the Thor after I explained that I was also looking at the 4800 Pro. Ron did want my business and Sam did not. I hope you enjoy your pink table but I won't be taking your recommendations about anything, ever again.
@@sandraperez7734 while I understand where you are coming from and you are absolutely entitled to your option I think you're being a bit rude. Lauren is one of the kindest and most caring people I know. She absolutely does her best in everything she does and would have never suggested something if she didn't absolutely believe that was the right thing at the time. Look at it this way, have you ever traded a car in because the one you got and thought you'd love just had things you ended up not caring for so you traded it in for a different brand/model? I sure have before. Why is this any different? Lauren is absolutely allowed to buy a new machine. If you really want to see the machine used I bought the 4800 from her. I actually would have bought this Thor that she just got if I had the option after sewing on both but Lauren getting the machine she wanted more gave me the chance to have a cylinder arm so I am extremely grateful to her. Also, why wouldn't Sam be looking through comments about this machine? He's awesome and pops in on our lives and videos. It just sounds like you unreasonably dislike Sam and Sunny Sewing. I would be thrilled if someone didn't try to change my mind just so I'd spend my money with them. If you don't want to watch anymore that's your choice but I don't think you needed to be mean.
