I’m a streamer first but I do want my RU-vid videos to sound as good as possible on my snowball ice, would you say that the plugins you recommend in this video is like combining both of your other videos together? Or would I still need to do post production?

One question: If I use the settings that you have, I get a MASSIVE noise and hum when speaking. I have a logitech mic that shouldn't be too bad but all the amplification that you do with Kotelnikov and Voicemeeter amplifies the noise to an unbearble level. I did not figure out how to actually get a usable volume from my mic while sounding good and without noise. Do you have an idea?

So i have maybe a odd question. I don't stream but i would like to start making music covers on youtube and i have been watching your vids on Audacity and settings. The question is could mic settings like this work for a more crisp baseline starting point in audacity and then apply some of the settings in your other vids, Or would it be best to use just raw unedited mic settings and then just apply settings using only Audacity and plugins ? I hope my question was not worded in a confusing manner lol.

Jason, don't forget to mention that you still have to install the VB-CABLE Virtual Audio Device separately. It does not come bundled with the voicemeeter (did not come with mine). Yours already had it probably because you already had the driver installed on the last video, right? If you don't install it, it does not show as an option on "Hardware Out" section of voicemeeter. Thumbs up for your work, man. Good stuff all around.

The thing is, I've never actually installed Virtual Audio Cable by itself. When I did the previous video it was installed automatically with Voicemeeter. The same was true for the Banana edition 👍🏼

Actually I've figured out how to install the VB Audio Virtual cable but for some reason Lighthost is now crashing ie. i can run it but when I tried to open it it crashes and disappears from run tray. Any advice how to rectify the Lighthost issue? Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I always have to manually sync audio in Vegas since my camera has a bit of a delay, but it was being a tad more finicky this time... I wasn't gonna re-render after a five-hour render tho 😂

Hi Jason, I'd like to take a Shure KSM mic and its published sensitivity curve from 20Hz - 20kHz and use real time software to apply EQ to get a dead flat frequency response from the mic. Am I on the right track here ? (I can use the Shure frequency plot from the KSM datasheet to type out a calibration table in a text file, or excel spreadsheet...)

hi, do you have to have light host open as wel as voicemeeter? or you can just have voicemeeter and not light host as once you have set it up you no longer have to come back to light host unless you want to make changes? thanks

I got it to work, and copied your settings exactly, but there's very loud background noise for some reason. Even if I move my mic away from my computer, that background noise is still there? I think it has to do with the settings and not the mic? Do you know how to fix it?

Thanks for the video, I have been searching for how to solve my poor audio output while streaming. I do not know what but I encountered a message after installing voice meeter that says some audio driver are not installed or maybe properly, did I do something wrong? VB Virtual Audio Cable only works with light house if its 32 bit, but you cant run 32 bit VB auto cable on a 64 bit OS

You have to change the output selection to a different 3 or 4 letter option before your device on the drop down menu. That should clean it up

I added a plugin on Light Host which has stopped Light Host from even showing up in the status bar. Has anyone experienced this? If so, is there a fix? I've gone through my folders and deleted the plugins and Light Host, restarted the computer, and reinstalled (all numerous times) but it's still not showing up. If I try Light Host on another user account on the same PC it works... but it'd be more convenient if I could get it working on my account again.

Like I spend about an hour every day editing my Audio in Adobe Audition..I wanted to save on that time… is there any way to work around it… I use. Hi Jason! Loved your video and tried to use light host with your link but i'm having trouble...for the first 30 min it worked perfectly and i followed your instructions to install the pluggins but i clicked something to enable NOVA and it crashed...it never opened again...tried uninstalling everything, putting it back on, turning the computer off and on, disabling all antivirus stuff, and nothing...the program refuses to open and really I gave up on fixing it...do you have any similar programs to light host?

hmm for some reason light host stopped working for me after i tried installing the plugins. it wouldnt even pop up now, is there any solution for this? ive treid reinstalling (basically just deleting the folder and then unzipping a new one)

Make sure you have the 64-bit versions of the plugins. Light Host only works with 64-bit, unlike Audacity 👍🏼

Does anyone accidentally have a similar problem to mine. When I start Voicemeeter Banana, my RU-vid it just stops working. Everything crashes. The video goes out and indicates that there is a sound / connectivity problem. After turning off the program and refresh (F5) - everything is fine.

Hey so like when I go to use voicemeter for like input, the output shows up in the input section. And vice versa. It just doesn’t work. If I press the A1 in voice meter I can hear myself and it sounds nice, but I just can’t find it for inputs.

It might be because on the right side where it says hardware out on the right I don’t see the cable
