Allow me to add a couple notions: 1• It's not always the case but: I suggest also trying **"DeNoise"** when setting this up, you may get better results and if so, at a lower CPU usage, which is, needless to say, better for streaming. 2• Also, if you find it, use an EQ preset dialed around **YOUR specific microphone** every mic has a different sound. (The band EQ is easier to use but the parametric one allows for precise control and finer tuning, pick which suits you better). 3• The **DeEsser** is really simple, just try producing a prolongated sibilance noise using the 'z' instead of the 's' for the...tongue setting. You'll notice a spike in the higher frequencies on the graph and that's where you want to place the two white bars (which you can move). Ideally, you want to use this effect **as little as possible** as it makes your voice sound **unnatural** , try never to go under -40 on the threshold.
This totally kicks ass compared to so many other sloppy videos on this process. I had some of the basics of this set up already, but you helped me get on top of a few issues I wasn't aware I was having. I use Xsplit instead of OBS and I had never thought of fixing the audio delay before with a video delay, and it was just as easy to implement there. Duh! Excellent stuff! Thanks so much!!

The ONLY issue I now have is that when I put this through Discord via the Virtual Audio Cable, I can hear EVERYTHING ELSE (even the Discord's phone ringing sounds/join call/exit call etc.) But everyone's voice is muted. If I revert back to neutral settings, they work just fine...
You're a life saver. Need to use the AMD software to record and stream cyberpunk 2077, because OBS doesn't like it, and I've been searching all day for how to remove the background noise. It's been detecting the noise from my PC fan. Just tried on OBS and AMD software, and sounds great on both. Great video. Thanks a lot.

Brilliant and clear video, thanks. Followed your explanation and everything worked first time. Works for live streaming with OBS by adding a Video Delay (Async) filter the same as you have. I set mine to 200ms which seems visually about right. Guess it depends mostly on processor speed?
Your audio sounds really good! I’m autistic and a lot of people’s audio hurts my ears so I have to muffle it somehow. I also prefer lower end frequencies over high ends. I appreciate your tutorial also! I find that most streamers that do different voices use a GoXlr, but I already audition so I wanted to learn that.

I'm so sorry this is so late. But is there any chance you can hear yourself talk? Part of what I like about voicemod is the ability to hear yourself if you want. So you can hear what you sound like. Is that a feature with this program?
at first it worked perfectly fine but i still wanted to try something else so i downloaded the voicemeeter and now the output sound is cracking and its sounds horrible how do i fix it

i have the problem that my microphon in obs is not making any sound after i switched to audio cable. i have no idea why its not working. i did the same like in the video
I am buying a decent microphone and I was hoping you would have one for the free version audacity... I am streaming and I have way to much background noise... example, my dogs always bark at random things, my neightbors mowing his lawn.. etc etc. lol Or if you have any links of videos on explaining as well as you did :) thank you!
@@ItsJustRyanM I looked around a bit, when you select your output/input in the audio hardware section, by default it sets it to 200ms, but I was reliably able to set it to 40ms (0.04 seconds) any lower would completely distort the mic.
Thanks so mch dude :) I have a (not very great) Logitech G35 and I just completely copied all your EQ settings and it already sounds a lot better imo :) I will tweak it a bit more to see where it can go, but this is a great start^^
Awesome vid! Do you know how I would set it up to output the vocals from audition to my console? I have a turtle beach tac controller that I use right now. Basically my sm7b goes to my Scarlett solo to the tac controller to my PlayStation. It just doesn’t sound good right now so trying to figure out how to make the vocals sound better in audition. So I’m trying to go from mic to Focusrite to audition to tac controller to PlayStation. Thanks man!
This is a great and incredibly helpful video. Do you have any idea how to reduce delay in this process? Im going XLR > Scarlet 2i2 > Audition > Discord and the delay to get the sound out there (broadcasted) is like 10 seconds!
Sorry for the late reply, i haven't been on my channel in a bit. I was having a similar problem with delay recently in Ableton and I found out that going to Focusrite's website and downloading the Scarlet 2i2 ASIO help a ton. Other than that im not sure, sorry.

OK Finally i got my presonus audiobox usa 96. I did al the settings and work fine, but i cant hear my slef when talking to the mic. i plug in behind the unit is there a reason why? thanks

I monitor my mic directly from my audio interface so it has no audible delay. I cannot hear the processing that way but when your monitoring your own mic you cant really tell what processing is doing anyways.
can you please show us what adaptive noise reduction settings you used (maybe on a screenshot link or something please. In the video you show all except these settings, did you leave it default? Because im finding the default arnt any good.
I'm constantly changing my audio processing chain so I'm not exactly sure what it was set to at this time, but honestly I would not reccomend using Adaptive Noise Reduction at all, and to Instead use a noise gait. However, if you absolutely have to use a noise reduction preset, I would reccomend using a small amount of DeNoiser instead. It is much easier to use and also sounds better in my opinion. I think you can add a delay to your games output aswell by going to the bar that is moving to show output for your games audio, clicking on the cog wheel beside of the adjustment slider for that output bar, going to filters, and adding a delay there. Hope this helps!
@@ItsJustRyanM Yes thanks I already knew what this filter is called because this render filter is not available for audio filters only for video filters if there is an audio filter with delays it would be good just what is the name of there ❤
@@SUZ0Y I just looked through obs and I do not think there is actually a way to delay your audio, sorry... there may be an add on that you can use but I do not know of one.
You helped me, I'm going to help you. You're doing good eliminating any room reverb, but your eq needs some love. I can hear you have the bass boosted, but you don't need to. You're actually really boomy. Try dropping everything at 30hz completely down and gradually stair stepping until you get to 100. Play around from there. Maybe subtle boosts in the 250-300 range for a little "pepper".
