Isn't there a DOT cap where your DOTs can't do anymore damage? Doesn't the full Chaos Damage build kind of blow that DOT cap out of the water to where the DOT isn't doing any further damage? If this is correct why not lower the damage and boost your EH?
The budget build as shown in the video accidentally had Shock checked (leftover from Elementalist testing). I have updated it and now we're down to 48M dps, hopefully that's enough still. :)

Love the setup! Have to ask, did you ever playtest glacial cascade? For bossing it should be your 2nd best skill after reap, and probably gets 3+ hits with your AoE scaling as well as not needing life costs, conversion, or woke cascade
I absolutely love how you added these 'powerpoint' style slides between the clips, they look nice, they explain everything in easy to understand format, and allow me to quickly understand the build instead of needing a pen and paper like some other build guides.
Can confirm this build is as good as it looks. I liquidated a mirror and a half to make it and it was worth every penny - if you do the same, I guarantee you won't regret it

I really hope Heatshiver is not completely gutted. The 1K life Ice Trap cheesers that one shot Pinnacles will just use a a different trap or mine setup and kill them as fast anyway, Oriinal Sin will not be possible to get etc. so mostly the people doing Ignite Vortex league staters etc. will be the ones taking the hit.
I’m a newer player, maybe 3 months in. I’ve loved this type of game but was overwhelmed by the complexity and amount of content. I was fortunate enough to start the budget build, but as luck would have it happened upon a mirror. Thanks to trading I’m starting to invest in the crazy damage build and look forward to it. When you were saying how none of the cold nodes are useful, you could’ve gone up to heart of ice instead of breath of rine. That was what Uber Dan was doing a few leagues ago for cold reap
For the budget version of the build we actually do get value out of chill effect so it's better to save the one passive point since chill effect = more cold as fire damage and then in the Chaos version cold pen does nothing. A viable option though, though to really know without comparing chill effect in game, would take some testing.
any sort of crafting guide for the amulet, ring, belt, and boots in the budget pob? I looked at lolcohol's crafting guide and right of the bat he's crafting with a 20 div amulet
Just throwing it out there that you can scuff this together with a pair of Hrimsorrows and the Heatshiver to take some pressure off crafting the gloves on leaguestart. They give a bit of cold res, and a much needed strength roll.

You also can't have your balance of terror manual-cast curses in a weapon swap for some reason. The 10 second stat bonuses get wiped upon swapping back.
"Try it with 'low' investment, try just 10 divines..." "This is just with 30 divines, this is the budget version" You and I have extremely different definitions of "low investment" and "budget" 😂😂 I'd love to play the game long enough where that kind of currency looks cheap
Where does all the leech/regen in this build come from? I'm seeing a life cost of 840/second in POB and no leech aside from Atziri's flask which doesn't even balance out at 795 alongside 300 life regen which just barely cancels out the cost of casting.

Probably best build you've released so far. I thought initially that it's another source or "Original Sin is broken showcase", but you've actually suprised me in a positive way. I'm using Heatshiver in Hydrosphere Inquisitor and it's so satisfying seeing singular item doubling your damage at least. Can't wait to play it
great build revived the league for me, exsanguinate/reap are so fun to use. I also did some serious crafting, kinda confusing as someone who returned after skiping everything since abyss. the gloves turned out to be a real problem on my 60 div budget, had to go with a pure eva base and still paid 6 div for a lightning base. I gave up after 10 bristle matrons (i kept getting full prefixes and had to annul, but I got a little lucky in the end, despite not being able to hit the unveiled phys to cold)
I built the budget version and sure, it has damage but I cant progress or even finish half of the T16 maps I challenge because it dies way too much. Saying it's 'tanky' isn't accurate, it's kind of missleading...
i agree its extremely squishy i cant even run a rare searing exarch (non uber) without being oneshot by most of the hits. so to say its tanky is extremely wrong

Just so you know though, the pob you have for what you are using, currently has 135% physical converted to cold, since you have it on the Watcher's Eye, as well as, the implicit on your gloves. This is really the type of build that you put together earliest in the 90-95 range. With witch I prefer to level with bane or poisonous concoction, I have league start guides for both.
Can someone please explain or send a link to a guide on how to craft the cheap amulet? I'm a novice crafter, and he makes it sound so easy but I'm just a bit lost on how to do it.
Just reforge phys in harvest on a redeemer base and hope you get mana res eff for grace or hatred. The + 1 to phys skills can be aquired on normal base.
Small thing, but I don't think you can chill and freeze at the same time (at least not with hits, maybe expedition end works). Frozen enemies are considered chilled for calculations, but iirc the chill value is then 0 if the enemy is frozen, limiting heatshiver to 100% extra and not 115
Just got a Awakened Spell cascade to drop and decided to run this since it should still work well. Question is, what would you suggest leveling with on the occultist?
I just made an occultist yesterday and ive been using hydrosphere/ice spear/herald of ice, pretty strong clear through the acts at least. aero has a YT video I've been following
if you dont really mind doing a kinda cheesy strat then tytykiller's twink leveling guides on maxroll are very nice. finished my templar act 0-10 in 3:30 and could cut down probably another 15-30 minutes off that.
It really is too much damage. I've managed to cap spell suppress, raise resistances to 86%, get 61% attack block (glancing blows invocation) with an aegis while running 7 auras and I still am at 75m dps. I'd really like to get another 1000 life but there are just so many uniques to juggle. Was able to fit determination, haste, hatred, vitality, purity of ice, herald of ash and herald of purity. Sure it takes 2 small clusters with 3 nodes at 35% increase, 90% efficiency on the heatshiver, 3 level 4 enlightens and anointing charisma on top of taking the two clusters on the path but hey, why not? Part of me wants to swap in a mageblood for the immortal flesh I'm using but having 700+ regen per second is pretty sweet.
Just one thing is not clear to me, why haven't you killed Uber Pinnacle boss on the intro for the showcase instead of that mini boss if you say its hard to demonstrate the dmg cause boss died too fast? This would've been better representation tbh ^^
ok only 35 minutes into the video, and maybe i missed it, but is there a reason the BUDGET / SSF version doesnt use Hrimsorrow for the phys to cold conversion?
Hrimsorrow are SUCH weak gloves that I hate to recommend them. Since this build is a bit low on stats/res because of mandatory uniques I'd really push the players to make some rare gloves that aren't THAT hard to make.

This league 10div is like nothing i normaly suck at making money but just running blight maps with lolcohol strat (stun freeze meteor ) tower u can make easy 2-4 div an hour allrdy made 50 reinvestet in ek ignite build and after 8 hours back at 50 again league is awsome for easy money
@@Eleriath God, everytime I find a promising looking build for one of the few gems I really like in this game, they've already been nerfed again. Happened with Arc, Winter's Orb, Reap and now Seismic Trap... and so many others. I hate the developers for always spoiling the fun builds. I understand some things need to be balanced, but they're always destroying the fun things, and keep the boring ones untouched and strong. 🙄🙄
This is basically a version of Uber Dan's Reap/Awakened Cascade build he came out with in 3.18. DS Lilly played it. The big difference between them is Uber Dan's build was Templar, and the gear is crazy expensive, but it had like 500k EH. Glad to see other variations of it, I tried it myself, but I did not have the currency to finish it, I ended up using my Awakened Cascade on Subtractem's Baine build, want to talk about a fast clear... MWAHAHHA
Just a nitpick. The cold and chaos damage nodes from Occultist don't "double dip" per se. They would if it was 1 node, but 3 nodes for both isn't really great (and isn't double dipping). The big reason to take her is the power charge scaling for this build. If it was only the other two ... eh. The Wither also takes ages to ramp so can't say that's a particularly good incentive on it's own. Especially for a build that prides itself on massive dps. Great guide otherwise definitely! Please don't misunderstand. It was just a use of "double dip" I wouldn't agree with in that certain situation.
So I wanna play this build. How would one level if they plan on making this build? I typically play elemenalist builds because they are easy level and scale builds for witch but ive never played a occulist build. it also seems like this is very have all the gear and swap to build so what would one play to be able to get the gear in the meantime. I dont know any occulist builds so would it be best to just level an elemenalist and get all the gear and then just suffer through respecing ascendancy in lab once I have all the pieces? Every Occulist leveling build would require at best, 50 respec points, which isnt a lot but in ssf would take some time, is that worth investing in and just leveling an occultist with another build that requires a lot of respec to atleast get it level'd? (I like SSF)
Hey, what do you think about this build for the next league ... as in the context of the Passive Skill tree already being changed and the Original Sin Ring, not being available anymore? Would you consider to do an updated version of it after we see the patch notes of the next league? ( btw this one looks very smooth .... and as usual, trying to deiversify game style each league and see someting new - this seems like a very nice build). Thanks
The "you don't need more damage" parts just remind me of Kitten Cat Noodle explaining a lot of people on forum builds going "But, but, number big, bigger number. Number big good." (not an exact quote) 😂
Okay, I have one question. I want to start my first SSF character and since I saw reap for the first time I always wanted to play with it. Will this be an okay league starter SSF viable build? I don't need to one shot like you, just to be able to do the content reliably
Would be a bit tough to fully get going. If you get the mandatory uniques that I show (that aren't THAT hard to get) you could put it together in SSF. The sections for mandatory uniques are labeled.
I wouldn't play this ssf, unless you have a large collection already. In particular, you will need awakened spell cascade. It's probably the only mandatory thing, but it's not east to get.
Hi there, just wondering where the life leech is coming from please, (I cannot find which item or passive skill so I am freaking out cos exanguinate is killing me and I can't afford any of the end game items yet so I am thinking of changing my skills and just trying to go with different build altogether)
I wish all builds could scale like this. It really gets discouraging how so many builds struggle to scale past 5-10 mil dps, and they still die constantly when maps or altars have a few damage mods.
You mentioned somewhere how Exsanguinate feels like arc, but better. Would some variation of this build be a viable league starter for a moderately experienced POE player?

Why do i feel this could be a league starter using a hrimsorrow and 2 storm prisms for the power charges (for early crit) the witch even has access to exsanguinate and reap get a heavy belt for str and a jade amulet for dex. Not high str or dex requirements for most of the core gems I don’t have a pc so I can’t get any numbers can someone think of anything concrete?

Within the past few days I've gamba'd 4 nurse cards into a MB. Would I be able to use a MB with this build, or should I just sell the MB to be able to buy the rest of the build?
how is the amulet an easy craft? craft of exile shows 1.3k average attempts with jagged + lucent fossil to get +1 phys gem and hatres mana reservation efficiency
i wouldn't like to see nerfs after just getting all these buffs why not just make heatshiver's drop rate be changed from a common drop to a t1 unique along the ranks of farruls or aegis. Let is become a quasi chase item instead of nerfing it.
Mate srsly, i started a coc reap phys to cold occultist yesterday. now all those flasks are gonna quadruple in price... at least i got my heatshiver already price gonna be unethical after this blows up
How could someone incorporate Mageblood into this build? Is it worth it? I am asking because this is my first league having one and I'm looking to use it as much as I can hehe.

Gambled myself into a league end mageblood, any ideas on how to incorporate it the best into the chaos version of this build if it is possible at all? Might be a dumb question but haven't had a MB before and Im enjoying this build the most right now.
without the budget for an awekened spell cascade (20+ div) or expedition's end (40 div) would you suggest to stick with reap and spell cascade or maybe switch to a mapping focussed setup, exanguinate, explosions and a skin of the lords? Btw, for a more budget/levelling version Hrimsorrow solves all the conversion problems. Also, the last 10% conversion (so difficult to achieve) can be obtained through rings Edit: I just noticed the end of the video. Discard my first comment.
You sorta mentioned it earlier in the video. I know there’s a lot unknown to each league start. Is it possible to league start this? I know there’s a bunch of flasks and gems that are some higher currency value. But if I wanted to practice and sim this or something similar would I just be making my life near impossible? Reap//exsanguinate just looks like so much fun.
