About to pull the trigger on these... are they really that much better than say... the Tsurkis Rod set? I do hail - and honestly, I haven't yet figured out the Stanliner techniques. I'm thinking I should.
While I absolutely agree that you should learn some stanliner techniques, let it be know that the MT set is a phenomenal set. The MT set also comes in more sizes, lending a bit more versatility in some scenarios. If you plan to learn some new techniques, these are excellent tools and a fantastic place to start.
jim k respect your opinion. I’m a 16 year tech myself always try to stay on the frontline of what’s new. Are you using stanliner techniques at all? Willing to bet probably not if you’re cool with what you have. That’s fine, but if you were to give them some honest effort I’m willing to bet you’d find cleaner faster repairs happening... These perform a lot of those techniques and also have the option of a regular precision tip. Not to mention they fit everywhere. But hey. I don’t own the company, I don’t care if you don’t buy them
Are the A-1 versions the same as the Reapers directly from the Reaper website? Just curious because I bought Stanliners directly from Canada and the got some from A-1 and the quality is super obvious. I really want these. I’m just starting to use stanliner and I also love love sharp picks like the MT (PDR Finesse) tools. These look to be amazing tools.
