I did the same job a few days ago, felt so much better after fitting new rear calipers. I recommend changing the plastic hand brake cable runners (two of them) volvo number 1329524. You can always invert the old ones if they are not worn through enough yet though!

Thank you Robert - a super video - I have to do the same job very soon. I was a little concerned that it would be necessary to replace an oil seal when replacing the half-shaft - but clearly this is not a problem.
excellent video ,please keep them coming i have the 940 TIC auto 1995 , 297000 miles 23 years in my ownership, i woud like to replace the 6 diesel injectors i have 6 reconditioned ones ready to go inn , so building up confidence to do this job , are you familiar with that job
