Thanks for the video. This is the deepest I’ve ever dove into a motor. The hardest part of this whole job is removing the intake and egr. Especially on a 30 yr old truck. Wouldn’t have done it without this video!

You are the man i need to speak to. I took my 93 Warrior with the 3vze to mechanic to replace valve cover gasket. He then discovers my driver side camshaft has wear on one lobe. His price for valve cover gaskets, camshaft install, and water pump/timing belt is $2700! I know i can do it all myself except the camshaft. Is it that difficult to change out? Can i just drop the new one in place of the old? Also i assume the valves will need to be adjusted after new cam is in right? I was even told the heads must come off to install new camshafts.

Thanks for showing the process. May I ask how it’s holding up? I tried a stop gap solution by removing the rear brackets from the head and rtv-ing the caps themselves, which has slowed the leaking but not all the way. This is a tricky process due to the clearance and angle, but it looks like you’ve done this very well.
