I use case lube to easily slip on the grip. Case lube is water soluble and evaporates. Your Rear Grip Enhancement Kit is a wonderful addition to my 590 Shockwave
Had that in the first video, but forgot to mention it in this one! We recommended something like rubbing alcohol, or even water, as no case lube in our shop. Just nothing that will damage the materials or leave any residue!
I skipped removing the grip, slid it on over the back, might have taken a little more effort but it worked! Love all your stuff, and thanks for the tutorials for beginners like me
Great vid, I used a vice to hold grip to help facilitate pulling the grip on and an old wooden ice cream stick... wasnt sure about water or other lubricant... its on, like it!!
Nope, we didn't have the instructions in this video, but we go over the process and give some measurements in our original install video. Here is a link for you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4S3mJNZs0JY.html
Absolutely, we do sell the strap alone. However, we do recommend them to be used together as the grip sleeve not only gives you much greater hold on the factory grip, it also keeps the strap in the ready position at all times. Hope this helps!
i bought this a year ago and it is well kept in a range bag. unfortunately, the clips are not made well and snapped off last week after firing a shell at the range
I've had a cheap sling on my shockwave and have been using it by wrapping it around my palm just like your strap for leverage.. I want to get yours but would have to get rid of the sling. Can you incorporate a sling to your design since I can't have both. I've been trying to stitch a separate strap to the rear of the sling but my stitching sucks, I've had my own drawings for a couple of years but they're just ideas. For some reason i have to have a sling on all rifles, I guess shouldering the the weapon makes me feel safer istead of placing it on a table or ground. It's been engrave in my head since Marine Corps bootcamp 20+ years ago.. Gig'Em
Gig 'em! Though it's not something we have done, have you considered adding another swivel stud to mount the sling or strap? Not 100% sure it would work, but I think you'd have enough room on the back of the grip before it starts to interfere with your hand. Let us know what you think!
Sorry for the late reply! You absolutely can drill the hole yourself if it did not come pre-drilled. Our original installation video has some more details on how to go about that process. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4S3mJNZs0JY.html
Would you ever provide a grey grip enhancement? I am swapping out my camo furniture for grey and would love to retain the grey with the grip enhancement.
I could t get mine to be all the way flush for my 590 Nightstick. It covers the bCk of the trigger guard a little, if I want to remove the trigger guard I have to pull it back a bit. It was a pain getting it on. Not sure if it was because I have the wood bird head grip or what. My fingers are killing me but I love it none the less!
