Do you know these Anime moments, where the villain or hero powers up, only to get decimated by one strike... That's my headcannon, when TD Demi-Fiend meets Hikawa, Chiaki, Isamu and Kagatsuchi xD
@@ChrisVoiceman You mean the low tier scum known as Waterbears, who have resistances to everything except the stuff that would actually be in a position to kill them?
demon party members are forbidden. magic is forbidden. items are forbidden. charging is forbidden. physical skills are forbidden. almighty damage is forbidden.
I remembered fighting Ahriman and as soon as I beat him I was like. Me: "Huh. His last threatening moment in the game... is his game. Well now to go find the oth-" *bass line kicks in along with Ahriman saying "No More Games"* Me: *sits up straight on my couch*
This song goes so fuckin hard, and I adore it. Like it's so different from every other fight theme you've heard up to this point. You're used to hard guitars and demonic screeching, and then suddenly, boom. It's gone. This is the moment when you genuinely feel like the game has stopped holding back.
It's like how Baal avatar said they weren't going to hold back and go all out how they aren't friends anymore so there isn't any reason to shed tears over them fighting in a situation like that where everyone is fighting for their own belief then there isn't any reason to hold back
The distorted guitars are there almost the entire time though, just less prominent for the most of a single circulation. It's more focused on bass, organ, and synth pads until the guitar solo, which then ends and turns into some big, heavy power chords.
me, who went for TDE on my first playthrough: * Focus + Pierce * UNLIMITED POWEEEEEEEEER also, pro tip: You can skip past Noah to get access to Freikugel before fighting him, although you still need to defeat him to get access to Kagutsuchi
Isamu: I won't let any old "friends" get in my way... Demi-fiend: wait till you see this ehehe oh oh oh - *Isamu fuses with noah* _wheeeeeze_ bruh look at the top of his head
Ahriman is easily one of my favorite demons in the franchise, design wise looks intimidating as fuck and the way he just toys with you in the first phase is pretty neat.
@@Claudinnn That's the problem with having a 'true ending' route with exclusive content: I don't even know what that is because I'm always getting the True Demon ending anyway.
@@ShadowOfOurHearts but freikrugel is almighty and he has an incredibly high almighty resistance that pierce ignores completely and makes the fight a joke
@@coolperson677 Not to mention Raidou has Pierce as well, and regardless of which ending you’re going for you can recruit him. So even if you’re not getting the TDE, which is the only way to get Pierce on Demi Fiend, you can still get another demon with it. He even has a physical almighty attack in the form of Tekisatsu.
@@greasychickenugget4410 no you can get kailash (the magatama) in the shop before noah so you can grind it out till you get freikugel. It's what I did and it makes noah much easier.
Ahriman and Baal Avatar are my favourite boss battles in this game mostly because of this theme. And because their fights (after a certain point, as far as Ahriman goes) are really f'ing cool. One thing to note, though, is that this theme plays when the boss goes all out, and it plays from the start of the Baal Avatar fight, which makes that one specific fight even cooler.
It also plays when you fight Noah, but that fight is less awesome because of his resistances and whatnot (the bastard resists Almighty and he shuffles what hurts him every single time he uses Aurora).
"I don't accept any of your reasons and dreams. This world will fall into ruin and I shall be the one pulling the trigger." This is what came to mind as I wrecked unholy havoc onto my two former friends and that one dude, then proceeded down to the depths of the Amala Network once again.
@@erikklberg2031 destruction, ruin, oblivion, that's the main theme of true demon ending, for me, because you will destroying everything and by everything means everything including you. Because there is no more left to go or live.
Recently beat this game with the TDE ending, what an amazing journey though tedious at times it has some interesting stuff going on and some amazing music, this ones one of my favorite
The Baal Avatar fight for me was the quickest reason fight and probably my quickest SMT boss fight ever. She went down after like 4ish rounds and barely got to summon. Granted, I did crit half the time as Demifiend but still.
My experience with the 3 gods (spoilers): Shijima : the second easiest. I had a lot of crits with raidou so I won a lot of turns, plus my Lachesis was buffing me the fuck up, so I dealt 2000-3000 damage every turn with focus and maybe 4 if I crited. I died to trapped cube later but i wasnt mad because the boss was fun and he took me less than 15 mins to finish. Noah: easiest because I had a lot of variety in my team. Atropos, Mytra, Skaldo and Raidou gave me enough diversity that it was a breeze. When I saw that my attack reflected, I immediately knew it was supposed to be the opposite element. He was pretty fun. Ball Avatar: none of her instant kill worked because I fused so many boss demons that 90% of my team was immune to darkness and light. The hard part is when she summoned the two goons. They had way too much HP. Her fly attack killed only one of my mons (Lachesis) and its because she had no resistance to ligh or dark. Her physical were getting reflected by Mytra, which was funny as fuck because I made this monster by coincidence when I had an Uriel. I really like the boss design, I must say.
Back when Legends Arceus was leaking and the ost was being put on RU-vid, I came across a video claiming to be Arceus’ battle theme only to hear the Reason boss theme. Just thought that was a kinda funny little troll
I get strangely emotional listening to this track when I think about the Chiaki/Isamu fights. It has such a vibe of "our friendship is meaningless, for my ideals you MUST die."
All I can think of is Lucifer shaking his ass on the sidelines to this banging piece of music, while the Demi Fiend takes on the Gods. 😆 I loved the God fights, this music definitely is epic!
I like how Ahriman fucks with you for just a little bit. I know in my playthrough that phase only lasted a few turns so he seemed to get tired of it p quick lol
Going for freedom ending firstly and having no pierce skill. Noah and his aurora was absolutely annoying as hell especially when half the time he opted to attack me rather then use magic so I had to make alot of guesses. Baal avatar. Ahriman and his games abit annoying. Not until the second phase with apocalypse and such was it that things needed to be taken serious enough.
When it came to Noah, I made sure I had demons with attacks that they can Drain/Nullify to test out the pattern. Even so, I lost composure and almost blew it
Finished the game today (spoilers for the ending you get when you finish all the kalpas) I fought for over one hour against lucifer because only Raidou had pierce
The three reason fight didn't shake me as much as the fiends because 2 out of the 3 designs were me that good (wow Noah is a blob and we fight, some king of living moving sentient state in the form of baal) aaaand the arhiman fight was cool (mostly I knew I wanted to kill hikawa from the start and he was built up as an antagonist even before the vortex world was created
Yeah. Don't know if Meguro was into them when writing this stuff, but there are a lot of similarities, especially with how many of the songs stay on one chord for ages while playing with around with the extensions, the drum machine, and the way guitar and bass (especially bass) are arranged.
@@penttikoivuniemi2146 Song structure also needs to be like that for rpgs especially since you’re going to be hearing these songs repeatedly. So its unknown if he did it as a reference or if it just happened, still pretty cool comparison tho
