Also, plane flies at very high speed which would make people outside dizzy and with lesser oxygen as well as dropped atmospheric pressure at higher altitudes they were not going to survive for long. Flight cabins are pressurized compartments so that people can survive and fly safely at high altitudes.

China has joined hands with Taliban so they can develop and carry forward their Belt and Road Initiative project. Taliban was acting as a deterrent to Chinese project workers by not letting them work and in extreme cases even killing them.

I am really saddened. An entire generation of Afghans had grown up relatively free of Taliban terror and they had begun to flourish. On a day India celebrated its Independence Day an entire country just fell apart. As a woman I'm terrified to just imagine the horrors awaiting Afghan women. In any war the biggest war crimes are always against women and children. What a God forsaken world we live in. The news is deeply unsettling.

Taliban rule was inevitable. USA would not have stayed there for ever, at some point, Afghans had to take control of their country. The only issue with US withdrawal is that it wasn't systematic. As far as India is concerned, India won't be able to form any good relationship with Afghanistan as long as Taliban is in power, due to Pakistan and China. Modi is smart enough to understand it. Instead he would rather use this situation in Afghanistan as an election narrative against Muslims in India to get more votes from Hindus.

Because both the Afghan government and the US had messed it up. US asked help from the very same country that was supporting the Taliban despite thousands of warnings from Afghan officials. On the other hand, the Afghan government was weak. They were incredibly corrupt too and so was the Afghan National Army. Out of the 350K registered soldiers in the ANA, only around 290K soldiers were on ground. Rest were ghost soldiers. There's an uncorroborated estimate that there were only 50K-60K soldiers in the Afghan National Army. And the US was rigid on withdrawing each of its personnel at once. No units to train the Afghan forces were left either. And the most important of them - their American contractors. There's a very brilliant opinion piece by a former officer of the Afghan National Army on NY Times explaining their situation. They felt abandoned by their own government. And above all of that - the consistent Pakistani support to the Afghan Taliban. This was the most important factor. These all things culminated in the Fall of Afghanistan. It wasn't a very predicted thing.

One of the main reasons Taliban won is that, most of the population of rural Afghanistan, wholeheartedly supported Taliban and their interpretation of Sharia Law. Nobody is talking about it. This discussion can't be swept under the rug. To beat a problem, one must recognise the problem.

Because it will be just foolish. Because we now have more deadly bombs than we had ever (I am not talking about nuclear heads). It will just come as total destruction having now four aggressive sides on the front. It's a disaster for any country.
