I agree with you about PC. As I mentioned in one of your other videos when we first visited Dr we went to Santa Domingo first because a friend who lived in NY had a condo in Boca Chico and let us stay there. We stayed in that area for two weeks and went to PC and fell In love with PC. I agree that PC is more laid ack than Santa Domingo . I’m from a big city in the states but I have gotten use to the suburban lifestyle. When you get older you will appreciate the PC lifestyle. I live in Cap Cana now and I love it. The first time we were here we lived in Cocotal golf course but coming back her a cap Cana was more my life style.

Samaná is my favorito area.

Punta cana is ok. But it’s a major hub for flights. Almost 60% of flights to the Domincan Republic go through there. It’s got some good parts but i try to go outside the tourist areas up the coast or north to Higuey

Hi, there; I guess Punta Cana is the name of the entire region where all the resorts are located; Bavaro, Macao, Ubero Alto, etc, are sections or parts of Punta Cana. Correct me if I'm wrong. Regards

Jay, you need to peep out Casa de Campo, La Romana. Man, you talking about beautiful. The homes are starting at $1million and goes up to $25million. Absolutely breathtaking.

Great breakdown. I had the opportunity to live in the D.R. last year and spent most of my time between Santo Domingo and Cabarete. I also stayed in Punta Cana for a while and feel like it’s a great place to come unwind and enjoy the resorts. Can’t wait to get back to the D.R. and seriously considering making it my home. Keep the good content coming!

Jay, another very good video! I laughed when you said people think New Yorkers are rude. Born and raised in NY and I always hear we are "rude" but truly, New Yorkers are not rude. We're just "forward". We tend to say what's on our minds and we generally tell it like it is. Some people mistake that for rude. 😋 We currently live between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale & in this area I feel people can be rude as hell, entitled, etc. 🤗I know, coming from FLL, you know what I mean. I agree, Macao Beach is beautiful and the fish is to die for. By the way, it's actually pronounced "Ma - cow". We are building our retirement house in Punta Cana right now. Can't wait to get down there for good. Yes, lots of tourists but we generally spend most of our time away from them while we're there. There are so many good spots. Bavaro is actually a part of Punta Cana. The whole area from Uvero Alto down to Cap Cana is all Punta Cana, and in Bavaro are where most of the resorts are as you said.

I will agree with Samaná over Punta Cana. The traffic in SD is crazy.

Hello! Thanks for your honest reviews! I’ve visited a few times to both PC and SD. Spent 30 days there last summer and experienced resorts, AirBnBs and a Pueblo. Enjoyed them all. DR is a beautiful country and a special, magical place. I do have one question, do you drive there?

Punta cana is good for rental income. I'm from NY and Santo Domingo does give you that city vibe. But i'd like to hear your top 5 beaches. Maybe that would be a good video topic for your next video. Also Los Corales has a nice vibe with La Bruja restaurant! Also Drink Point and infinity night club not toofar from thier as well. And down by the beach they have a vibrant area of restaurants karaoke bars etc. I was just there last week. I would have split the trip and drive out to SD , but i figured SD deserves it own trip. (I didn't forget about our meet up to settle where the best restaurant is) But great video.

Don't be saying it to loud about samana. I don't want any saturation of tourists there. 😂

My wife and I are planning a trip this summer to Punta Cana to potentially move. I currently live in Tampa and I feel that Punta Cana can offer a feel similar to like Orlando maybe.

Move to Canada .. you will miss Punta Cana heat when you will see that "winter" in punta Cana are way hotter than summer in Canada and winter un Canada will put a nail in the coffin... Winter from October to May... And hot from mid June to mid august

Have you been to Punta Cana Village? playa blanca, casa club? To be fair--it's been much warmer than usual in Punta Cana. I find it generally similar to the capital but it's been very humid this past week.

Can you talk about your daughter and her school and the school options in Santo Domingo?? My husband thinks we should send our school to a public school there but his mom say no because my our kids don’t speak Spanish and are the private school there expensive

My honest opinion i didn't feel Punta Cana like that..too sanitized and massive tourists. However for those who do enjoy it cheers 🍷 we are all different. I prefer the other cities and towns on the island.
