Very good video! I live on about that for 3 people in Thailand. I always tell people you can go high or low but I’m in the middle. It’s all in how you live❤
J I’m down with you like 4 flats on a Cadillac. Good video and perspective on basic living in the capital. Just one thing need something like a 2 or 3 bedroom example. Keep living that organic life my brother.
Jay, please also make a video about the cost of buying and maintenance of a vehicle, insurance, registration and gas a month. And 2-3 bedroom apts for a family of 4.
Nice video. I think health insurance there is a bargain compared to the USA. I can't even afford it, and besides that, I have to pay a mandatory fine in NJ for not having it. Which is still cheaper for me not having it and paying the fine. And I know many people are going to say, "Oh... there are no good doctors there and blah blah blah," which is false. It's like mechanics here in the USA do diagnoses and change vehicle parts; there, they fix the parts. I hope you got the analogy.
I just finished projecting my monthly retirement income. While I felt the income would be more than enough, this vid provides a clearer idea as to where things could stand. Very informative.
This was very good information as you broke down the estimated expenses combined with several different apartment rates to give us an idea of what it would cost to live there. Also you posted an apartment i remember staying at in Belle Vista a few years ago😲Great memories 😌
Just what I needed bruh! Good shit, thr numbers breakdown,.can show my mom. Just got back in thr states from Las Terrenas! I'm in love ❤️ fam 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🇩🇴 ❤👍🏽
Bro your video popped up again when needed, Right On Time...Here planning and getting things in order, making one trip there in mid August while things here are being finalized ..Good Break down, I'm one of the lazy ones Glad you broke it down in Dollars....Peace my Dude
Wtf are you talking about? There are no laws in america that keep you from doing anything either. Black people have held all the highest positions in america including president. Victimhood mentality...
I could live there comfortably with 2500 a month if i don't chase skirts 😂😂. Or maybe settle with a 600 usd a month for apt rental and the other 400 on a skirt 😅😅
The realtor is making money off you, realtors don’t have to be licensed in the Dominican, this guy lives there and he’s telling you the truth, if you to be flamboyant and trick off on women it’ll be more
This video is very important, fam. I really needed to see this one. I’ve been thinking about becoming an ex-pat, and watching videos like this is moving me closer to that reality. That Bella Vista apartment spoke to me, and what’s so dope, is that those apts you showed are already furnished. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
naw cuz I need at least $6k a month....I need hookah, mamitas, y las casitas bonita simper jajaaa but this break down is for a frugal person...keep up the good work
5:am Good Morning from Thailand getting ready for my Exercise before the mid - morning suns heat its NOT a wonder why Its so expensive to live reasonably comfortably retired in the Domincan Republic # (1) Reason It's an Island nation Just about everything outside of certain native grown Foods is Very expensive because Most things are Imported and Taxed to the max and resold priced near triple what you pay in certain Non Island Nations , $2500 Here in Thailand You are are living Upper Middle class U.S. equivalen $1950 USD you'll live better than Ok and No Power outages too and I'm Originally from NYC I've been coming Here to Thailand to Party since over 25Ys ago.
Brother this not completely true. Dominican Republic is self sufficient when it comes to food. They raised their own meat chicken, beef, pork, and turkey. And most fruits that eaten here is grown hear. Rice and beans all grown here. Milk and natural juices all here You have the option to buy imported food but I can buy local and still be good. BTW been living here 3 years and never once had a power outage. You don't seem to know much about DR brother. Enjoy Thailand.
Hey jay i was sitting in my couch here in Connecticut thinking about moving there and your video just popped up …think it was a signal from the almighty?
My USA retiement income is $1500 per month! This is why I'm looking for an ONLINE INCOME so that I can move to Santo Domingo or Santiago de los Caballeros! Thanks Tio Jay! ASE!
Always appreciate your perspective. I have done my research as well and my calculations are about the same as yours. Love your point on chasing skirts. They will blow the bag if thats the way they go.
WWWWWay too overpriced. furniture and the materials they use to build these quick built condos are very cheap. might as well go to thailand, PH, Mexico etc. Dominican Republic is not worth it anymore, I only own property there because it was inheritance. They got too greedy with all of these dummies from other countries coming here, the most you should pay for an apartment is like $300-400 lol
Im from DC. Coming in September with my Dominican wife. Could you point me in the direction of real estate investment to consider? I'll be in San Cristobal. I've been there before and I know scams run high. Thanks brother.
