people need to realize that they are getting older and they can’t be 19 forever. nayeon is literally gonna be 30 in a year or two and tzuyu is like 23, 24. they aren’t teens anymore and they shouldn’t be forced to have an appeal that makes them seem younger.

I love how we keep seeing these videos about Twice's decline even as they continue to sell record numbers of new albums, break streaming records and have a sold out stadium tour. They may indeed not be quite as popular now in Korea as they were during the "cheer up" or "Likey" era, but their growth into the Japanese, US and international markets MORE than make up for any lessening popularity in Korea.

Nobody ever stands on top everytime we need to understand that. Twice did a lot, even if they ever disband in the future there are no regrets. They are growing and the whole life is ahead of them.

Who needs the charts? Twice literally won billboard Women In music awards. Most Western Celebrities WISH they could get that award. They literally sold THE Sofi Stadium In LA with the capacity of 100,000 people and Twice sold it in less then 67 minutes. If that is surprising I don't know what is. This is so silly. No group stays #1 forever. I'm only a casual listener of Twice but even I know they're still doing really well globally and selling out shows worldwide. They're doing better than some rookie groups. I think they just have to find a mature sound that works for them and JYP made a mistake in not promoting solo efforts for the group over the years. Nayeon's solo album proved that people still love the group and there's still a lot that can be done there. The members are grown now and so are fans. Their fanbase isn't streaming but they're still buying albums and concert tickets. If Twice wasn't still profitable for JYP, they wouldn't have renewed their contracts. They just had their Billboard Breakthrough Award, 1.7 million pre-order on RTB, first k-gg to sold out Metlife and Sofi, first k-gg to have a STADIUM tour in Japan and they're now opening add'l seat in US. . But apparently, they are losing relevance when they don't chart high on K-charts which is soooo ironic because these are the same people who underestimate K-charts when TWICE were dominating there. They just always move the goalposts as long as TWICE achieve something. They went from 'only popular in Korea' to 'only popular in Korea and Japan' and they're saying 'only popular in US'. Also New Jeans is already bleeding spotify subs from 24 mil to 18 mil. IVE's newset MV's can't even reach 100 mil. Now all of a sudden fifty fifty is the new rage getting near 24 mil monthly listeners. The sad truth is that you guys are setting 4th gens up for failure. Twice has lost their peak because newer groups are debuting with more fresh concepts such as NewJeans (who I recently started liking their music). The entertainment industry is fast paced so it's inevitable for groups to come and go because everything doesn't last forever. Twice left a fulfilling legacy in the Kpop industry so even when they're no longer at the heights of their success, the impact they created will last forever. You never failed as an artist when years had gone by and you're still remembered and no one can deny that Twice will never be forgotten.

I actually heard the reason that TWICE's recent comeback (Ready to Be) was very low in sales/streams was because k-netz boycotted the comeback. TWICE was promoting this comeback in the United States, which made k-fans angry, therefore causing them to boycott, saying to not buy the album, not to stream it, and to not attend their concerts/music show performances. This was all because of the fact that they were promoting in the US at the time. They made sure TWICE wasn't topping charts. You know what tho? TWICE doesn't need to top charts to be amazing or to be considered "good." They have a good fanbase who will continue supporting them and we also should take into consideration (as mentioned in the video briefly), that once TWICE shifted to mature concepts, many of the fans (mostly fanboys) left the fandom since there was going to be no more cute concepts. Let's just continue supporting them! :D

And how have their achievements "declined" exactly? They're still releasing music, currently in a world tour, their J-line just released their own album, Jihyo about to release hers; there's no sign of them slowing down. When you've been doing this as long as they have there's obviously going to be a dip in either content or views, that's how any business works. Doesn't mean they're not doing well anymore. Like the video said when compared to BP, they have fallen behind in terms of "reputation", but that's not how you measure success. Blackpink is more popular (always will be since they're the first group to breakthrough in the U.S. in terms of popularity, for a girl group), but Twice is more successful. This channel is fishing for views trying to put down the group when they're as strong as ever and clearly favors black pink.

Twice is the first kpop group i discovered and theyll always have a special place in my heart. The thing about Twice is, that they've earned a loyal fandom supporting them through everything. I personally had 1 or 2 songs i didnt like, but they actually have a great discography with high quality B-Sides. Furthermore, they grew as musicians, from a solely cute concept back then, to a more grown up concept, which still possesses their unique cute colors. Yes, they are not vocals like Mamamoo, Wendy or Lily, but they also dont need to be. Theyre not Rappers like Dami for example, which they also dont need to be. Twice relies on something i would call, the perfect music formula, when it comes to creating emotions, especially happiness, which they've perfected over the last 8 years. Yes. Their popularity declined for sure, but honestly, thats just natural with all the groups being thrown at fans in the 4th gen, especially groups like NJ, which are trendsetters, but Twice still have their own unique place in between all those groups, because next to BP they basically are the 3rd gen of KPOP, and thats me as a Blinks saying that.

Im not a Once, but I don't think Twice is doing that bad and there recent comeback was an English title so it makes sense they wouldn't get as much views compared to their Korean and Japanese title tracks. Compared to YG who promotes a lot more towards international fans, JYPE always leaned more into promoting towards Korean and Japanese fans from what I have seen. With the success of BLACKPINK and BTS, I feel like a lot of companies are now trying to appeal towards international fans, which is nice as an international fan but feels like a "too late" moment for Twice who are an old group now with an established fanbase. I'm not saying Twice doesnt have an international fan base, but compared to Blackpink, they have more of a Korean and Japanese fanbase. Also, a lot of 3rd gen groups are facing these problems has well, even the Red Velvet members talked about it as well with Joy mentioning the topic. Jisoo mentiong that even if Blackpink gets overtaken by another girl group, she is just happy to pave the way for the new generation and that she is happy that Kpop has become more popular internationally now. Twice is facing an Identity crisis with some fans wanting their cute concept and others wanting their mature concepts, while some like both concepts. Kpop community can be viewed as an ecosystem. It can be viewed as a ninja village like Konoha also, where regeneration is a must to perpetuate its existence. Twice renewing their contract with the complete 9 members is already an achievement for the girl group section. This prove how strong their bond is between members. Meanwhile, vocal quality, comeback concepts etc. are just challenges, room for improvements. As a group / team, you've got to be solid first.

Some international kpop channels like these probably would never want to understand that Kpop in Korea is all about young generation of audiences growing up with their Kpop Idols. How do you expect a middle and high school students (the major segment contribute to the growth of Kpop Influence) in Korea to choose between Twice who is could be 10 years older than themself but not the similar idols in age to related with like NewJeans , IVE, ... While Kpop Fans not represented all of Korean Music Fan in South Korea. Therefore, it's safe to say that it will take more time to identify who will be the next Gen4 girl group, who will be able to achieve the level of impact and success that Twice have made in 2015 16 17 period to general public in Korea. Not being the favorable one for Korean Kpop fans is inevitable for every Idols group. But the organic growth in any other markets like the US, is pretty much of a marvel achievement and any Kpop fans should celebrate with them.

I think you are maybe wrong about this. Twice's strength has always been their albums, both in quality and sales. The latest albums have been truly incredible and are unmatched by newer groups with miniscule discographies in comparison. Just because a group doesn't win loads of music shows or chart well in Korea does not mean they are not highly profitable and doing well. I would also point out that Twice's tours have been some of the most successful of all time, and they have never endured controversies around their performances like Black Pink. Most of the songs you listed were not even promoted in Korea and have done pretty well in the US. I think Twice have been making all the right moves both to mature their sound and also to cement themselves as global artists outside of Korea. Nayeon's debut was very successful as well. I think Twice can only really be matched by RV in terms of discography. The 4th generation is moving so quickly that it is unclear who will even be around in a few years. Itzy were one of the biggest groups, and they already seem to have fallen behind. Twice have proven time and time again that they produce great music and give excellent performances.
