I clicked on this video to have background noise and was playing on my phone. When she began to sing I stopped what I was doing and stared in amazement and reveled in silence for ten seconds after the video ended. How have I never heard of this woman?!
Rebecca is a wonderful woman, she don't need to cover up her face with a lot of make up, wear short skirts and stuff like that, she is simply a beautiful woman with a lot of talent and a wonderful voice.
Even though some people mentioned they feel her voice doesn't match the feeling of the song (like with the tricks and trills), it kinda gives me a Gatsby-vibe. Like, the person singing is living this fabulous, lavish lifestyle but they aren't satisfied. They want the one thing they can't have to the point they're obsessed.
One of my hobbies is writing, and while listening to this for the hundredth time (because Rebecca is amazing) I suddenly imagined this song as being sung by a forgotten/unknown deity to the strange and beautiful mortals of an ancient civilization. Bam! New story to write.

Rebecca's cover of this song is simply beautiful and chill-worthy. She is SOOOOO underrated. She should be right up there with Adele in terms of fame; but I think Rebecca values love and family over the fame monster and all that comes along with it.☠️

Very fortunate to see Rebecca at close quarters.. a few times just after her X Factor performance .. when I heard her sing it gave me goosebumps .. last person to do that was stevie nicks in the 70s80s (still does now )
