Our wedding film love story
How did you guys meet?
We were set up on a blind date by our mutual friends, we had our first date at Zizzi's and have been inseparable ever since!
Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
Michael works in accounts and Becca is a solicitor but outside of work Becca's obsession is Disney and she is always trying to organise the next Disney holiday. We have been to Disneyland Paris twice and Disney World Florida.
Michael loves football and we are both huge F1 fans. We got to go to the Grand
Prix at Silverstone in 2022 which was an amazing weekend.
We also have a cat called Nala is is our little princess.
How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)
We were in Disney World at Magic Kingdom and Michael got down on one knee in front of the castle. It was a truly magical moment!
We were able to have some photos taken with the Disney photographers then went off to ride Big Thunder Mountain. We spent the day in Disney and celebrated in the evening by watching the firework display.
How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
We wanted to find somewhere unique to us and found Blackwell Grange through another venue that we visited. We went to see it and we both knew deep down that this was the venue for us, when Becca walked into the Thatched Barn it brought a tear to her eye. We looked at some other venues but couldn't stop thinking about Blackwell Grange so went to another open day and booked while we were there!
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
We want everyone to have fun and a good time. And lots of dancing!
Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
There will be some subtle Disney running through the day and fairytale vibes. Our colours are sage green and white with touches of gold.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Picking the food has been the hardest decision!
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Make decisions based on what you both want at your wedding and what will make it special for you when you look back on it in years to come.
