unpopular opinion: she was the best character of the show and she deserved the world

I felt bad for Rebekah she was so sweet but she pushed everyone away bc they all turned on her when Elena stabbed her in her back (literally) when she was getting ready for prom I realised why she pushes everyone away I understand Rebekah

The main reason I feel bad for Rebekah is because she really is a good person deep down and tries so hard to prove it but no one gives her a chance. Also because her whole life she never got to live the way she wanted too. Either having to deal with her parents who forced her to turn to a vampire, and then klaus who never let her find love. Also how people repeatedly betray her for literally no reason and keep on using her loneliness and lack of love to their advantage. Not only did a lot of her family members die but literally her own parents tried to kill her, her brother put a dagger in her heart, kol and Finn tried to kill her and Elijah always puts klaus first. She basically got a family who cared about everything but her happiness. Plus she spent centuries running from her father , dealing with her brothers and basically never being free. The most thing though that makes me feel for her, is how hard she loved. In all her relationships it was always her putting the effort and love, like she was ready to risk it all for marcel while he abandoned her several times. Even in her family she tries so hard to show them love and support while they rarely do the same. Plus the fact that people keep telling her that she’s nothing and that she’s pathetic for wanting love. I srsly love Rebekah and thinks she deserves the world and everything she wants , and I’m glad she’ll get to live it one day😭🤍🤍.

Honestly, I hated how everyone around me treated Rebekah. Klaus stuck a dagger into her, and more than once, and he also put his interests first, not her, he knew that Rebekah really wanted medicine, but he was not looking for it. for her, he was looking for him in order to turn Elena into a human in order to create more hybrids with the help of her blood, and after all this he was angry with Rebekah for calling Mikael, as if she did it for no reason, as if - if he was such a good brother in relation to her, and then she didn't betray him for no reason, for no reason (and let's not forget how he killed every love interest of hers as soon as she had it).Elijah continued to put Klaus first, completely neglecting how he (Klaus) treated Rebekah and how he dealt with him.For Marcel, the most important thing was to become a vampire, it was much more important than Rebekah, and yet after a while he had the conscience to blame Rebekah for finally choosing a family. Esther and Mikael just selfishly took her humanity, even their they didn't care what she wanted, they only cared about what they wanted, and nevertheless, in the future, they (mainly Esther) said that she and her brothers were monsters, and that they needed to be killed.The rest laughed at Rebekah for her loneliness and bad luck in love, and also used it for their own purposes, used her

I'm literally crying watching this. I in some ways deal with so much pain and hatred when it comes to family and the loss of love constantly seeking happiness that never comes to fruition. Rebekah is and will forever be the BEST character in the TVD OG universe! I weap for this girl and myself.

I’m sorry, but for those of you saying that Klaus didn’t like Rebekah, please do watch The Originals, their dynamic is complex and complicated but Rebekah was his favourite sibling. I love Rebekah and she is the most relatable and lovable character, but don’t say klaus didn’t like her. She was her favourite and he loved her and cared for her PERIODT!!! Edit: I see where you guys are coming from, but when Klaus didn’t want Rebekah to take the cure he was paranoid with his abandonment issues, it’s not that he didn’t want her to be happy it’s just that he didn’t want her to die, again the controlling is not a reason for him to be a total ass but he did that cause he loved her and didn’t want to lose her. He always feared losing Rebekah. He daggered her the first time cause he didn’t want to lose her and Marcel, and the second time cause he didn’t want to lose her to Stefan, I mean if anything these incidents says that he had serious psychological issues that he didn’t want to lose her, it’s not that he didn’t love her, he loved her too much taht he didn’t want to lose her; he is a psycho maniac so didn’t know how to show his love. He thought neutralising her for a century would make her care for him the most but it only made it worse. He was so messed up by us father who hunted him for centuries and wanted him dead and didn’t even care for him or love him, who abused him. Something like that would make anyone go crazy with paranoia and abandonment issues. Elijah thinks before he does something but Klaus and Rebekah don’t they regret later, that’s why Elijah comes off as Nobel but Klaus comes off as a jerk. I love all the Mikaelsons esp Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, their sibling bond is the best thing on the whole show!

She was a great character but she was flawed just as much as klaus or any of the other original, I love her character but I hate the fans that act like she was the best of the originals, because just like klaus has done terrible things to his family so has she, she almost got klaus killed twice first time on purpose when she helped Elena bring mikael to kill klaus, and second time arguably accidentally, when she and ,marcel brought mikael to New Orleans. But in my opinion the worst thing she did to someone in her family was that she had forsaken her brother kol after he was killed by Elena by literally agreeing to work with her not 24 hours after she killed her brother, then pretended like she actually cared about him when he was back temporarily when the veil was down.
